Wanted to revisit this question as just signed up with Emumovies and went through the add of MAME again Chose playlists at this point and now have a load of playlists directly under Arcade which i'd like to nest under MAME... is there an easy way to manage this?

Coming from Hyperspin/RL setup, most important thing to me is startup fade - essentially, I want my machine to feel well oiled and no obvious operating system underneath! Themability is key, and on RL I really love the fact that I can see System Playtime, Game Playtime, Number of times I've played the game etc on the fade in. With Pause screens, it's all about controls and layout for me, followed by move lists. High scores would be good too, but absolutely not essential (and I'd need instructions on how to do it!)

Moving from a Hyperspin / Rocket Launcher setup and just wondering if there is native fades etc in launchbox or if I should just continue to use RL to launch my games? Any alternatives? Side question - if i imported MAME without RL, is there a way to easily change the emulator to Rocket Launcher? Thanks!

Interesting. I've used symlinks but only to put the contents of a folder in another folder - didn't realise you could have that kind of setup... Does sound to me like it could end up being a bit fragile...

I already did it with the images actually, but there were a number missing (some surprising...) With Videos I didn't get any so re-pointed my folder to HS and seemed to work... folders are so big tho, would rather not have 2 copies! Just debating an emumovies subscription - will that fill gaps I have in the images from Launchbox

Thanks! Just noticed i could just point the folders to my HS setup too... that might be the way to do it to save having duplicates! Naming convention is the same then, right?

Great, thank you. Any way to get publisher playlists but only for publishers >50games? Equally, any way to easily combine theGenre lists (i.e. set all Ball-and-Paddle under one category?)

So, I just did this, nested them under Publishers (for example) and tried to delete one of the publishers - seems to have messed up and un-nested all the publishers... Is there any way to NOT have to go through these one by one to delete them?? Where are the playlist iformation stored - I'd rather emove all playlist info and start again...

I've added my MAME collection and downloaded the artwork, but if I sort by hiding those without X (clear logos for example) in only end up with 400 odd out of my 2700 games Is this just the sum total of what LB has or has something gone wrong? In my HS setup I had images for nearly all of them so just finding out if I need to do some kind of linking to that

Sorry, that's not quite the question - I've done this and see it's activated The question is, now that I have the premium features, what's the quickest way to pick up the things that are available now to me and get them all added to my collection? (an example being system specific playlists that I definitely remember were a blocked option when I added systems on the free version, but they havent just appeared now that i added my licence key)

I've just bought a premium licence (thank you Black Friday!), and now I'm wondering... What's the best way to update my setup to take advantage of all the new features? For example I remember some things were greyed out when I added all my systems (can't remember exactly what) and I especially remember automatic playlist creation was not available (and would like that), but sure there are other things... What's the quickest way to take advantage of all that stuff now? Thanks

Thanks - handy for a newbie setting up fresh but a bit long winded when already have the whole loading process etc set in RocketLauncher Found out that it was because I had everything extracted within the ScummVM folder, so just setting scan core folder only worked a treat

Is there a way to import ScummVM in the same way as I've used import for most other systems I have set up in RL? I tried it and ended up with 11000 files, most rubbish

Complete N00b here, moving from Hyperspin to Launchbox I'm importing Roms and using RocketLauncher as the emulator (per Simply Ausin's vid on youtube which was a great primer!) but I'm struggling with Laserdisc / Daphne - there doesnt seem to be a system option for Daphne in the list where you select to download media? Is there just not one or am I coming across something wierd? Thanks!
