Thank you - I'd done that for Mame but missed the option for other systems... I also didn't see any way to export it so will try the copy paste later!
-
Thanks for the response. So is there no way to separate out one of those options to a new 'duplicated' main game? Or alternatively have a playlist that uses a clone as opposed to the main? (maybe this would get around the import issue?)

Bitbucket link above seems dead - does this mean this feature exists? If so, how do I do this?

So I know that I can get a list of the game versions that I have within BigBox and grab those as needed, but what I'd like to know is two things... 1) How do I separate out a clone/version into a 'copy' of that other version so they live alongside? 2) How do I set a default version that is chosen Example use case for 1 - Pacman with speedup hacks Example for case 2 - Turtles in Time has a 2p variant and I only have a 2p cab Thanks!

I've done a full download of my collection but is there any way to audit what is missing artwork? I have hidden everything without clear logo, but if it has a box instead I'd like to include that (for example) But equally, I'd like to be able to see what's missing the artwork so I can see if there is anything I care about to try dig out... Anyone able to advise? Thanks!

Will give that a try when I next have an opportunity for a play!

Thanks for the XML locations, I'll take a look If I'm in a system and load the theme change, menu comes up fine, but I'd say only 1/8 times it actually successfully changes the theme... On the first occasion, sometimes the second it doesn't crash, but usually after X attempts I get a freeze which requires an exit to get anywhere

Thanks, The fading wheel was a minor niggle (not to mention the fact that I am missing a load of genre, and system clear logos and videos which seem essential, despite syncing etc) One related question I have is: While I know it's possible to set up theme and view buttons to change for a specific system, the theme change seems buggy and mostly fails and the view change is quite slow so will take hours to go through every system... Is there a text based (XML or similar I guess) way to set the theme/view per system to run through this and get an initial pass close?

I want to re-awaken this. New purchaser and trying to eliminate my usage of RocketLauncher within LB where possible... Servostik is essential to me and the moment i noticed i'm missing it is a massive frustration - RocketLauncher handles it really nicely and simply, so would be great to see this, but in the meantime is there a nice way to implement this?

Great - thanks guys - i'll start my journey there

Thanks, that's helpful. Reading between the lines there it seems like you're saying that actually Refried is the BEST, but Redux is GOOD yet simpler to set up? And if learning/time was no issue you'd recommend Refried?

-
So... which is the best one for an LB n00b to pick? Both Unified Refried and Redux seems to be regularly updated, but the differences don't seem immediately clear (since they both compare to original unified)
-
This might be a stupid question, but there is Unified, Unified Redux and UnifiedRefried that I can see - which should I pick? Redux is written by the creator of Launchbox so does this mean it's the defacto? They don't seem all that different but they all seem to rely on plugins etc which sounds like the barrier to entry is a little higher than just whacking the theme in the theme folder, so would like thoughts before i embark!

Is there any way to identify which themes have recently played playlists coded then? It's one of the primary reasons I moved to LB as was finding it frustrating not being able to find a game i was experimenting with to get back to it in HS

So I've been having a play... I'm finding on most of my themes, one of the views I have is a text list with details that I want, but I want the clear logos instead of text list... Am I right in saying that whether this exists or not is down to the particular theme creator? Or can this be overridden? I'm also still struggling to see how I get a list of recently played games Thanks for your help!

Thanks, thats helpful - i'll have a play and see where i get...

I just bought a lifetime subscription, predominantly for BixBox and playlist support, but sadly it's really not as 'plug-and-play' as I was led to believe... With this in mind I have a few questions/expectations that I was hoping to tick off fairly simply, and hoping people can help 1) I seem to just get a list of Systems and a list of games within each of those systems, favorites at the top 1a) what I was really hoping for was a representation of the structure contained in Launchbox - Arcade / Compuer / Console / Handheld at level one, Systems at level 2 and Playlists/Favorites at level 3 - how do I do this? 1b) One of the things I want there is the recently played as well - overall across launchbox and equally per system - how can I add this into the mix? 2) I'd really like to be able to search from Level One - is this possible 3) Many of my systems seem to be missing artwork for even the system name - these aren't obscure systems so I'm sure they exist, I just don't know why they're not showing as I've scraped both LBGamesDB and Emumovies... 4) Is there any way to show the list of games with the clean logo instead? Is this theme dependent? 5) I've tried many themes and many of them just don't look at all like they do on the forums - it seems as simple as drag and drop to install a theme but I get artwork misplaced etc - am I missing an easy way to correct for this? I'm sure there are other things as well, but what I thought was going to be simple is proving a learning curve almost as high as setting up my original HyperSpin setup, and I moved to LB thinking it would be a relatively quick process... so I think these questions kick me off...!

Definitely missing 126 pieces of clean logo images... I've got them as a favorite list now (after using the audit) - any way to export this list so i can try match via the hysperspin setup i have? Equally, is there a way to then upload those to the gamesdb to help others in future?

Fab - thanks - knew it'd be a n00b question!

Is there a way to hide the bracketed information that is added to Mame games? Rev 2 / US / World etc This is possible in every other frontend i've tried so sure it must be, but can't see the option... Thanks!

I'm having some serious problems with playlists and i'm hoping someone can help me out here... Basically, imported all the playlists for Mame and there are bloody hundreds and not well organised - e.g. I have Atari, Atari Corporation, Atari Inc etc Now, I don't mind spending a bit of time managing this, but nothing seems to work... e.g. I go into Atari Inc which has 1 game, right click that game -> move to playlist and select Mame Atari Says it's moved, but it's not there Restart launchbox, still not there Is there an easier way to combine this stuff and move things around? What am I doing wrong?
