  1. One of the themes I'm just looking at using has a 'Developers' field and I've notice, at least on MAME that much of the time it's empty. Just wondering if there is a way to 'automatically' populate the developer field from the publisher field if it's unknown? Thanks
  2. Thanks for your response - all seems to be explained quite well in the file - do you have any suggestions on the best things to turn on/off? Assuming videos, but I notice that some have backup png but I don't seem to have the PNG included with the theme (e.g. kevlar?) Edit. Definitely the videos - turning off scanlines made the biggest dent, but BG video definitely making things too clunky too ) Edit2. One of the views uses scanlines whatever the settings in that file. Looks like it's using the scanline video and the glitch video and none of the settings actually turn those off. If i rename the files then those views don't show up in the cycle, so seems that they break something...
  3. I love the look and feel of this, but my machine is really struggling with it... (despite being fine with other similar themes) Anything I can do to minimise the memory consumption?
  4. Oh that red is much nicer! Even a set in the same blue as the others would be nice! If you have the PSDs I don't mind having a bash myself if time is an issue?!
  5. Thanks guys - they look exactly like what i was looking for! As you say - watermark is unfortunate, but i think i could live with it! Sorry for taking it slightly off topic, but where do i find these?!
  6. So, just to try and explain myself a bit better... I'm not sure if this is related to your theme or LaunchBox (i don't really know where this vid came from!), but i get this video as a default for the top level Arcade category (and similar videos for Consoles/Computers/Pinball etc): What i'd love is a similar(ish) video to this but for sublevel categories - i.e. Mame / ScummVM / Commodore 64 that showcases the games on that system (rather than looking like a page from your theme) Hope that makes sense?
  7. Ah, I had come across those before (although i don't think i downloaded), but it's not exactly what i'm (ideally) looking for! What i'd really like is essentially the videos that contained in the frame in those videos - e.g. a selection of games from each platform... so that the platforms look similar to the major categories (Arcade / Computers / Consoles) etc Or better, a cool funky video like the general videos that has come broader stuff going on!
  8. I renamed my theme folder to theme.old and then created a new one with only this in and it seems to have done it for me...
  9. @RetroHumanoid where is the best place to get videos to go along with your theme? I've done the platform downloads from LB but some of them don't really match up...
  10. Can always hide items missing wheel images. TBH, I would love to see a better way of auditing artwork - the audit only gets you 10% of the way there... if i could easily add, tag, re-search database id from there would make it so much better!
  11. Thanks for the info - will give it a go later!
  12. Answering my own question here... seems Hoxs is VERY sensitive to the ordering of the variables. They must be in the order: -fullscreen -quickload -autoload I had fullscreen at the end and for whatever reason it did not like it at all!
  13. I have a new issue now - this was working 2 days ago I swear, but I'm not just getting stuck at the blue screen - from memory it was auto typing RUN and then job done, however now i'm stuck at the blue screen (because my u is mapped to another function I can't even type it!)
  14. Okay, so I realise this is a super quick follow up but I think I've noticed a link between what the issue is... Just tested across a few systems and the following: - If launching with RocketLauncher works fine (as expected, since RocketLauncher sending params) - If launching an EXE directly then it seems to work fine (i.e. Mame) - If launching a system that uses a launcher - e.g. Amiga which is using a UUID launcher - then I get two issues: 1) The LED Blinky issue above 2) I get no Exit fade and sometimes no startup fade So I'm not wondering if this has something to do with the fact that the EXE that is being loaded doesnt match the exe that's actually 'running', so (and this is pure speculation at this stage), I guess that Launchbox is both sending the LEDBlinky cancel command and the exit fade command when the small dos loader is exiting, which is obviously way before it should be Am I on the right lines? What can I do to fix this?!
  15. So LED Blinky was working fine last week, and I'm not sure if this is an issue with the latest update or something else thats occurred. Basically, when I click a game in the games list, LEDBlinky will show the controls absolutely correctly. However, when I launch the game, it does all the funky flashing to show it's loading, but then shows the Launchbox controls - it's as if LaunchBox isn't correctly sending the info to LEDBlinky any more and it still thinks it's running launchbox... Anyone else had this?
  16. Good question ? I set it up around 3 years ago and it was a pita - pretty much needed individual config for each game. What I can tell you is that it's done via Rocket Launcher and i have vague recollection of finding the instructions somewhere on the Hyperspin forums and doing some troubleshooting with a user called Diskmach on there, so worth heading over and checking it out!
  17. So, can someone explain to me how this works now... I am currently using Refried and the Refried Arcade theme (I never got around to doing the others but would like to) So I install the new theme, then how do I get Arcade active on arcade, GameCube on GameCube etc etc EDIT: So looking at the files, there is one theme, so need to download that - do I need all the addons now, or are they legacy too? I'm not clear on the differences the addons provide - is there somewhere that's outlined? p.s thanks so much for the hard work!
  18. Thanks - that's what I figured by scanning through the list! I've been using WinUAE with ADF and RocketLauncher to date, but have been having issues with control schemes etc on WinUAE. I *think* i've got there by following your guide so really appreciate the effort Oh, and looking forward to the other guides!
  19. So i think i've solved this question above and have most things working in FS-UAE thanks to the tutorial! Thanks @Zombeaver One question I do have however is, I have a set of adf and whd, obviously you instruct how to set up mostly WHD, but also ADF - but the WHD list seems pretty comprehensive - are there things missing if i don't add an ADF set?
  20. Thanks so much for the video! I'm following it through and at step 4 it talks about gamepad - I don't use a gamepad I have Keyboard which is mapped to my Arcade sticks, so question is, how do I map the keys (Warp / F10) to keyboard? In the keyboard section there doesnt appear to be any mapping options? Thanks!
Best I've seen for player count - thanks
  21. Love these! @sundogak Any chance of a nicer colour that poo brown for the arcade ones?! edit: also co-op seems to only have the blue version?
  22. I'm hoping someone can help me... I have around 6000 games in my Commodore 64 setup and around 600 or so are missing either a Clear Logo OR a Box Image (after running through in audit) I'd like to hide games that are missing one OR the other (as I'd be happy with one or the other appearing in Big Box) I can see that I can hide games missing one, but this a) seems global, and b) isn't exclusive I've tried creating a playlist, but this doesnt have the option of selecting image state And now i'm out of ideas other than going through every one of those 600 games and setting a hidden flag... which doesnt sound fun! Any other ideas!?
  23. Glad I'm not alone - there are plenty of games that this makes sense for!
