  1. Also I use MAME as the emulator but I use no intro roms. Not the software list ones. I do have the most recent MAME set for those. But when I use MAME for console games I use no intro sets. Does this matter? Everything works fine in Launchbox when I do this.
  2. Thanks for the reply but my head is spinning what you said lol. My games work fine in Launchbox using MAME for this system. They also work with the command line above for games that support voice module. In a simple explanation what would I use as the commandline in Launchbox? Little confused.
  3. Old thread but didn't want to start a new one. I tried the above parameters and it doesn't work in LB. I use the command (mame odyssey2 voice -cart2 timelord) in MAME and it works. What command would I use in Launchbox for this to work? Thanks
  4. Same here. I just was having a hard time with the coleco at first. Also you have to use a a800 ini file if you want Jumpman to work. Needs more memory. ) a800.ini
  5. Nice. Also the ini also works for all carts and smg games.
  6. Yes sir.
  7. thanks but I just created a mame ini. Named the ini coleco and inside put: exp sgm Just drop the file in the MAME ini folder coleco.ini
  8. Would this be for the custom cmd line in Lb?
  9. OK I'm trying to get to get games that use super game module in coleco to work. When I launch a game say asteroids in coleco using MAME I have to hit tab and go in the slot and change exp to sgm and reset system. Is there a command line so it boots straight to these type of games?
  10. Colecovision (bluemsx_libetro) Actually shows it's missing system\databases\msxromdb.xml but I don't even use this for my coleco system. I use MAME
  11. Thanks I'll look into it but I believe the emulator I was using was MAME for Colecovision through rocketlauncher.
  12. What is rom dependency? I just noticed this in the new release. I just skip it when importing a rom and it works. Thanks
  13. Old post but does it remember the default rom when you upgrade to new version of MAME when importing?
  14. Trying to get this working and have the lastest MAME software list .263 and there is no folder called lynx96k. Just has camplynx.
  15. Option to choose between Beta or Development versions of Dolphin?
  16. you might have two MAME folders. When you imported did you choose automatically or manually? Make sure you have LB pointing at the correct MAME exe.
  17. If you want to make this user friendly for new people how about auto generating default command-line parameters for associated MAME systems. Example Atari 2600 would be a2600 -cart. Or Sam Coupe samcoupe -ab \nBOOT\n -autoboot_delay 3 -flop1. Or make a list and post on the website all the default command lines for people to copy and paste. Importing games is the easy part. It's little things like this that people have trouble with.
  18. There should be an option for people to turn this off. I deleted the game folders again and closed and opened LB and they weren't created this time. Why would this happen? Hopefully it will stop created dummy game folders.
  19. On the next update can you please remove this function. It just slows down LB and creates empty game folders for systems. Thanks
  20. Sorry about ranting and raving but when I put many hours in this frontend and stuff like this happens I get a little frustrated. It looks like I got it sorted out. I always have backup disk when my set is so huge I don't feel like dealing with a corrupt HDD like in the past. I opened and closed LB several times and it is now showing the 83781 games list all the time so it's back to normal. Just have to tweak a few things.
  21. Keeps fucking changing the amount of games every time I close and reopen LB. Thank god I have the data folder backed up on my other drive. Will go back to Feb 2024. You need to fix this on next update.
  22. This is messed up. I went to my backup folder and grabbed an earlier one. When I start LB it has a total of 83567 games. Which is about right last I checked. Then we I close and open again it changes to 83589. Did it again and changed to 83582. I don't have the automatic import checked so why is it keep changing the number of my games?
  23. New Feature: LaunchBox can now automatically import ROM files that are placed inside of a platform folder located in LaunchBox\Games. To enable it for existing LaunchBox installations, go to Tools > Options > General > Automated Imports Doesn't work on my end. Followed the instructions and tried different roms from Colecovision. Mine are in Launchbox\Games\ColecoVision. Edit: I think it's because I use MAME as my emulator for this system. When I import console games for MAME I have to trick LB and import using another emulator. Then I go back and change the emulator back to MAME. Nope that;s not the problem either. Tried a NES games and the emulator is RA cores.
  24. OK I now have the games showing in launchbox with the names but games aren't launching now. In the Sony Playstation Vita xml what is the path I set it to? I mean which txt? The ones in the file folder or the vita ids? UPDATE: Well seems to be working now. Games are showing names. The games are launching. I have a total of 988 games in my list. I just have to do a little cleaning up deleting crap like crunchyroll, facebook etc and some games merged together which are different games. Overall though much better. Thanks for putting up with my rants lol.
  25. Which one? The VITA IDs or the one in the files folder?
