  1. There a reason you can't just use the "Sleep" menu item inside of Big Box's main menu to do it?
  2. Hey @ricebow, sounds like you decided to take the plunge and try out LaunchBox after all, glad to have ya. Typically performance issues for new users can be tied to 2 things. The first is the image cache. Until that is built you WILL notice delays and slowness while the cache builds. Typically when the cache is building you will see a small green bar at the top of LaunchBox. Once the cache has been built you won't see that issue. One thing to note is resizing boxes reset cache (as well as a few other actions) so when doing so expect the performance to be affected for a small while after doing so. The second are auto-generated playlists. Because of how they work we poll your games library every time a change is made which can cause a lot of delays. It is usually best for performance to create those once done importing all your games. If they still cause significant performance degridation you can set them up as auto-gen, let them get the games they should have, then shut off the auto-gen. They will no longer automatically update with library changes but they do perform much faster. Once done importing and making changes (when your library is "complete") it is generally better performance to just turn them into manual playlists.
  3. Could you go into Device Manager and find your controller in the Human Interface Devices and tell me what your Hardware Id's are? Then go into Control Panel > Devices and tell me if you see it there and what category it is in. If possible right click and tell me if there is a "Game Controller Settings". If there is go in there and there should be a tab that allows you to test the inputs, could you confirm that pressing the buttons on the physical device lights up the correct corresponding button in that window? IF Windows recognizes the two sides as separate controllers worth doing it for both. Also worth making sure pressing one side doesn't affect the other in that window.
  4. Coming in a bit late and I admit @Retro808 hardware knowledge far exceeds mine but I find it odd that you have to set up Steam to use XInput. Why isn't Windows recognizing the controllers AS XInput devices immediately? If the OS doesn't recognize the controllers as X or D Input Controllers I could see it causing issues. Could also see an issue if for some reason despite the two USB cords, if both are registering the same ID with the OS. The signals could be fighting each other (on side reporting button up the other reporting button down, and the first wins the race condition). I admit though, I'd have to do some research on how best to troubleshoot those and prove out what is or is not happening.
  5. No. We want you to acknowledge your insult to our loving GamesDB that you don't think it's good enough, and then relive it EVERY time you try to import until you realize the errors of your ways!

    ps3 exit

Appears that the "Exit" automation was being used instead of "Close Active Window". "Exit" closes Big Box, "Close Active Window" closes the game.
  7. https://forums.launchbox-app.com/forum/62-collections-and-builds/ This would be a good place to look.
  8. Just want to check, did rerunning the .NET Framework runtime installer fix your issue then @artician?

    ps3 exit

@sundogak Could you let me know what Controller Mapping you are using to attempt to close the emulator? Also could you PM me your BigBoxSettings.xml file (located in \\Launchbox\Data\)
  10. Would really be helpful if you could get a picture of the error message you are seeing. Also could you open your Settings.xml and look for the following: <DebugLog>true</DebugLog> and add it if not in. Then try again and look to see if there is a file in \\Launchbox\Logs and send me the most recent file in there. Can send both in a PM so we make sure no personal information is in either.
  11. Realize now I wasn't as clear as I should have been. Inside the <NoWelcomeVersion> tags should be what ever version you are installing. Could I get the following information from you: What version are you installing? Has Launchbox ever worked on this install? Do you have a screenshot of the error you are getting? And if so could you post it?
  12. Skraper to my knowledge does not have any plugin for LaunchBox, they have the Skraper client and I believe they attempt to create a platform.xml based off what you scrape. If you are using the XML they build instead of letting LaunchBox do it, that may be causing some issues. Jason is asking for the files in your Data folder, those would have the information either of us needs to diagnose if that is the cause of your issue or not. Also unless you have unlocked several cores via Skraper and it's client it is going to take you far longer than 4 days as they limit daily bandwidth and running single core isn't very fast. Also would be wary as the Skraper client downloads a lot of bad images that will typically need cleaning out.
  13. Launchbox DOES on first load of a version attempt to bring a Window up with a changelog that does hit an HTML address. Won't be able to confirm until tomorrow but if it IS that you could attempt to add the following line to your Settings.xml file (if not already present). <NoWelcomeVersion>10.12-beta-5</NoWelcomeVersion> Can go anywhere in between the <Setting> tags. If that corrects it let me know.
  14. First, just so we are clear what version are you on? I seem you mention 10.1, is that ACTUALLY 10.1, or 10.10? Current live version is 10.11. Secondly, if you aren't adding any more games to the playlists you are referring to I would check and make sure they aren't auto-generated playlists. Auto-generated playlist take a considerable amount more of resources than manual ones, and cause extra calculations in many processes. If you know those playlists will not be changing much in the future I would make sure to untick that box.
  15. Advertisement Flyer - Front/Back (depending on the image)
  16. Did you manually add the images to the folder? Typically if the game IS in your library but the file IS NOT in use it is because the file isn't named correctly so LaunchBox doesn't know to use it.
  17. Yes. Those are files that 0 games in your library point to and should be safe to delete if you do not plan to re-add those games later.

    file delete

On the first page of the options menu...
  19. Not real sure what you are referring to, got a pic?
  20. Need to go to where you saw what power mode you were on and click "Change Plan Settings" then click "Change Advanced Settings" and check that the setting shown is disabled. You also need to go to Device Manager and select the USB Controller you are plugged in then right click and hit "Properties" go to the power management tab and shut off the check box saying it can shut it off.
  21. One other VERY important thing to note if running LaunchBox, Big Box, or any emulation off an external drive is to adjust your computers "Power Saving" options. By default Windows will shut off USB connections it feels are being too resource intensive which will cause several errors. If you go that route make sure to turn all that off or you are liable to see many issues.
  22. Can also right click on a game and press edit and then drag and drop images to the Image Preview square in the bottom right of the window.
  23. Sounds like you have the start up screen popping over your game. Could try shutting that feature off and see if it still happens.
  24. Leaf symbols in Windows 10 are related to power saving features. The leaf represents something "Eco-Friendly". Basically your computer is shutting off access to your drive to save power. Need to go to your power settings and tell it to knock it off.
