Can you do the following for me @Pixel: Select Blasphemous Go to Tools > Download Metadata and Media Hit Next, Check "Prioritize Steam Metadata" Uncheck all image types On the last page when asked whether you want to overwrite press the top option (overwrite all) Hit finish and let the process run Now Navigate to Blasphemous in your collection and press edit (or CTRL-E) In genre you should see "Action; Adventure; Indie" what do you see?
-
What game did you try this on?
-
Steam's Genre tags are pulled in if the game is not in the LaunchBox GamesDB or if you prioritize Steam metadata.
-
I was able to replicate the issue you were having and you should see it corrected in the next beta update. Please let me know if after the next update you still see this issue.
-
Right click a game, hit edit. Go to the "Other" tab at the bottom of that screen, there is a "Sort Title" field. If you didn't add one it will be blank.
-
Can you give me the exact Title (and Sort Titles) you are using for the games you are seeing this for?
-
Also to note on this one that LaunchBox now checks the install state of a Steam game on startup. Would be nice for users running beta to confirm that is is accurately determining this.
-
LaunchBox does have Controller Mappings in it's options as well.
-
Generally means you have the wrong one or isn't named exactly right. Google for your cores docs and they will have the exact hash of the file you need. Make sure it matches.
-
Or just Google the error message. Entire first page is filled with results that will lead you to the information you need to make it work. Long story short, get the bios file, name it to the filename in the error message, then put it in RetroArch system folder.
-
One thing I see no mention of in your post that you also need to worry about with this system is the proper BIOS file. If you don't have it RA wont open when asked to from LaunchBox. You would see the error message saying as such if you attempt to open it from RetroArch by itself. EDIT: We posted at the same time and the second window clearly states that the above applies. Get the bios file and put it in the system folder.

Right click the playlist and hit edit. Third tab, checkbox at the top. LaunchBox doesn't have any by default so if you haven't built any you won't have them.
-
I would take a look into how many Auto-Gen playlists you have. If you have a large number that process can take some time since all of them have to rebuild any time you make changes. If you know the playlists won't be changing you can set them up to be manual and that process won't have to happen and it will speed things up by quite a bit for you.

Always open to suggestions but I'd be lying if I told you to expect that change anytime soon since it is theme-able suggestion. If you want more consistent eyes on it though I would suggest going to the top of this page and hitting "Help & Support" > "Request Feature" and put a ticket in that way for the change. -
Want to make sure the disc number gets carried over. If you use the Combine tool it should do it automatically for you. Also gives you the added benefit of being able to use the M3U functionality that was recently added to LaunchBox (assuming you are current in version).

Yeah so you would either have to redo EVERYTHING or just add the bits that have changed. One sounds like more work than the other to me. -
Yeah in sort title simply take the title and append the disc number. You could also just combine the titles and you can pick the disc to play via the Additional Applications and save yourself some real estate.

Problem with simply naming your changes as a theme of your own? -
In Big Box Controller Mappings do you have the "Close Active Window" set to those bindings?
-
I would assume the plugin software is doing that. Was mostly leaving it as a note for the developer that they are probably calling the wrong title from the interface.

Sounds like the Sort Title is being displayed instead of the actual Game Title.

I personally use the 4:3 platform videos with this theme on a 16:9 monitor and it helps eliminate a lot of that cut off you are referring to.

Disregard "Options". Go to tools menu, 5th item from the top.
