  1. Is there a way to prioritize music over video audio in BigBox? I like having music play in the platform and game selection screens instead of the audio of the video snaps. The way I set it up is having the videos muted. When there's no music for a specific game, I play a random audio file in the platform folder. The thing is, with cases like Arcade, there's no music available at all from Emumovies so I don't get any sound. Is there a setting i'm not aware of that would let me play video audio when no music is available?
  2. I created fake roms that could be used for that purpose. You could just import them in launchbox and sort by rating maybe? Here they are
  3. This could be done with custom fields. Let's say most of your N64 games use Retroarch, you could create the 'Emulator' custom field, mass edit it to be RetroArch, and then manually edit the custom field to Project64 for the games that use that emulator. This is the easiest way I can think of
  4. Hey I'm not exactly sure where to post this but someone on the subreddit was asking for a way to download media without having a game file. I thought that I could also use some kind of placeholder files to keep track of games I completed or enjoyed but that I don't actually own, so I created fake rom files for every game in the database. Here they are! I used the .NES extension to get launchbox to recognise them as rom files but they are actually empty files named after games and seperated by platform. Rom_Placehodler.rar
  5. Thanks! Unfortunatly I doubt that's something Launchbox would do without the release of a public API by HLTB or a partnership between those two
  6. If anyone is interested I made a similar tool that adds the game length data to your whole library :
  7. Si je comprends bien tes fichiers vidéos étaient dans le même dossier que tes jeux lorsque que tu les as importés? Je crois que Tools/Scan/For removed Roms... devrais régler ton problème
  8. The whole database is contained the the metadata.xml file in Launchbox/Metadata/Metadata.xml. Hope that helps!

***Check out @JoeViking245's much better plugin instead. I'm leaving this tool available in case the plugin breaks but I won't be updating the data. *** About the tool: The tool is NOT scraping data from https://howlongtobeat.com/. It is using data that has already been scraped from the website and adding it as custom fields for your games. I encourage you to visit the website and manually add the data for missing games as well as support the website by contributing to the database. How does it work? Just run HLTB.exe, select your Lauchbox/Data/Platforms folder and press confirm. That's it! **MAKE SURE TO BACKUP YOUR XML FILES BEFORE RUNNING IT!!** What are the included platforms? 3DI Interactive Multiplayer, Arcade, Atari 2600, Atari 5200, Atari 7800, Atari Jaguar, Atari Lynx, ColecoVision, Commodore 64, Commodore Amiga, Microsoft Xbox 360, Microsoft Xbox, MS-DOS, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 64, Nintendo DS, Nintendo Entertainment System, Nintendo Famicom Disk System, Nintendo Game Boy Advance, Nintendo Game Boy Color, Nintendo Game Boy, Nintendo GameCube, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo Wii, Sega Dreamcast, Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, Sony Playstation 2, Sony Playstation 3, Sony Playstation, Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Windows Will you update the data/add more platforms? I don't plan on it. At least not on a regular schedule. How do I show that data on BigBox? You can create your own theme or make changes to existing themes using the Community Theme Creator. I'm pretty bad at designing themes so I don't plan on releasing one but I'd be interested if someone wants to create a theme that takes advantage of the HLTB data. **UPDATE** I lied and made a theme for it. Here it is.

  11. I thought about it but i'm only familiar with Python so I'll have to go with this method
  12. Wow messing with that will suck. Thanks a lot!
  13. I'm trying to write a script to create custom fields automaticaly for my games but I can't find where they are stored. I assumed they would be in metadata.xml but can't find them there. Anyone can help with that? Thanks!
  14. I'm working on a music pack for Windows games based on the Launchbox database (named accordingly) I started out with my game library (125 games) but I'll be adding more. I'll be adding new games based on popularity but i'm open to requests. The launchbox db contains 21 350 windows games at the moment, I'm not planning to add all of them. Here's the link : https://emumovies.com/forums/topic/59771-windows-music-pack-in-progress/ Enjoy 🙂
  15. Here's my 'full' pack of music for wii games. 🙂 I tried to prioritize title screen/main menu music. For music based games, I used a random song from the song list (for most sports games too) For some movie based games, I used the soundtrack from the movie. For some TV show based games, I used the TV show's theme. All song cut off at 5 minutes. I made sure to name the files according to the Launchbox DB but i'd like to get feedback on that. Is everything working fine on your end? I'm also open to requests if there's a game you would like me to add Here's the link to download : https://emumovies.com/files/file/5307-wii-music-pack-1150-songs/ Enjoy!
