  1. I would have to dive into your collection to determine exactly what's going on, but unfortunately I need to move on for now. I do still need to come back to the arcade playlist creation to fix a few minor things, such as non-arcade games showing up in the list.
  2. Ah, I probably forgot to share that with you. We took a look at that in the live stream and the problem was the fact that there's a custom field named Playlists, believe it or not, which was messing it all up. So now it's starting to make more sense. Also, maybe we have a bug when there's no games in the list.
  3. If a game is manually added, then it will indeed be considered a different game than anything else currently in the list. If a game isn't being identified, then there's something different about it that is making it not being picked up. It could be the platform name, could be the title, file name, etc. Games should be picked up after the fact, but the mechanism for picking them up is more restrictive after the fact than for the initial creation of the arcade playlists, if that makes sense.
  4. Is the 7.8 release stable for you @Kriven?
  5. Are you using the mouse? Perhaps we have a glitch with mouse input?
  6. Haven't tackled that quite yet @InfinityFox; hoping to for the next beta.
  7. @Zombeaver Looking great with those images, as always. We will need some images that are more similar to the default platform logos though for the ones that we include with LaunchBox.
  8. Yes, categories can be changed just by changing the "Category" field on platforms and playlists. I will be adding a proper interface for managing the categories and their metadata before the official release.
  9. Games *should* be being automatically picked up in the playlists after adding new games, but I did do some heavy caching in order to help with performance. So you may just need to restart LaunchBox.
  10. Not easily manageable? It is accessible via right click in the sidebar...
  11. Thanks @flores9; @CliveBarker FYI. No big deal of course, but let me know if there's something else going on other than a typo.
  12. No, it should be remembering which entry you were on. That said, if you've disabled "remember last platform" then it may not.
  13. The PDF reader wasn't very highly voted, so it will make its way onto the next poll for another chance. We'll be doing another poll shortly after 7.9 comes out.
  14. @adu @SentaiBrad Playlists do indeed show up in the platforms lists (and are also sorted there) if you check the box on the playlist to include it with platforms. @Sdentau92 You might be more happy with nested filters once we implement those.
  15. Sorry guys, I realize I screwed the pooch on that one. Yes, they are at least all still accessible in the XML, but we did not build a migration for them to the new playlist features. That would be pretty difficult because the method and logic behind the two are rather different. Depending on how many complaints we get, I may go back and add a migration feature, but honestly I'd rather focus on new features like nested filters. That said, my apologies for the oversight.
  16. Thanks @Norfair; I'll take a look at the folder issue there. @InfinityFox I haven't tackled the playlist platform issue yet, but it's on my short list. 7.9-beta-1 is out now guys with platform categories in Big Box: Closing out this thread.
  17. And we're off again with the first 7.9 beta. Platform categories are now available in Big Box. You can choose "View Platform Categories" in the main menu, and platform categories can be made the default view on startup in the view options. We don't have any images or videos for the default categories yet, but hopefully the community can come up with some very shortly. I also still need to add an interface in LaunchBox to allow you to manage the metadata on the categories, so that's the next thing on my to-do list. After that we'll be tackling nested filters.
  18. @nikeymikey Thanks, I think I've fixed that for beta 2 (just put out beta 1 but didn't get the fix in there for that yet). @Newlander You can manually put any image you want in for any playlist by editing the playlist in LaunchBox (right click on the playlist in the sidebar and Edit).
  19. We can advertise it more once we get some active contributions to it, but honestly we tried to advertise it in the past and sort of gave up on it because no one was populating it. Rather than push an empty site, I'd rather wait until we get some significant contributions to it before advertising it again.
  20. Woot! Thank you @J.Beau for jumping through those hoops.
  21. Yeah, I was disappointed that the wiki never really took off after we set it up years ago. Feel free to help populate it, guys, and if we end up finding that it's useful, then we can work on it and clean it up a bit.
  22. Alright; I've been at it off and on and I'm down to the Hartung Game Master (which also needs a transparent image). I think I've done all I can handle for the day, but hopefully I can get back to this soon guys. Made some progress at least.
  23. @J.Beau If the transaction doesn't go through then Stripe will send you an email to get you your money back. Not sure what might have happened but it might be better to use a desktop computer if the phone was locking up. Sorry for that.
  24. The easiest immediate solution would be to simply use two separate emulators for MAME software lists vs. MAME arcade games. Then you can configure the two separately.
  25. I have an idea as to what might be happening here; I think it has to do with ROM file names that match one of the MAME ROM file names. I might just need to add additional restrictions in there for platform when I populate the playlists. Sucks that I didn't get a fix in there before the official release, but I'll take a look for the next beta.
