Enhancer 1.05: http://www.megaline.co/6QVc Description: Changes your desktop resolution to a different resolution when using user defined programs and restores your original resolution once said app has expired. This is but one of many features of this program. See the rest of its features below. Who is this for: This tool is for people who do not like the size of the desktop icons when in a higher resolution but enjoy the resolution benefits that is given to certain programs. It's also for users who tire of lazy developers that don't include the essential features of their programs. Who this isn't for: This is one of the Ultimate programs necessary for a great PC gaming experience! What is it for: This tool was created to accompany poorly coded games/apps in order to support their maximum resolutions if it isn't supported correctly. Games that use your max rez as a factor in determining the game's internal rez for example. It is also used for if a game doesn't detect your highest DSR factor unless your desktop is already set to it. Think of it as a baggy pair of pants. If you are a small person, the pants will be loose. If you are a bigger person, the pants will get filled in. So the tighter they are, the lesser the wrinkles. Internal rez is like the person's size. Desktop rez is like the amount of room that needs to get filled. The closer the desktop rez is to your desktop rez, the lesser the jaggies. PCSX2 emulator (and Lightning Returns Steam) is a good example. If you increase your internal rez without changing your desktop rez (if desktop rez is smaller) you will have to cake your game up with post processing effects to barely get rid of all jaggies. But if you match your desktop rez with the internal rez, the game will be significantly jaggy reduced! This is why you see most games change the desktop rez with the internal rez it is taking. Low Int Rez + High Desk Rez < High Desk Rez + High Desk Rez. However, High Desk Rez + Higher Int Rez could go either way, depending on how much higher the Int Rez is. But if it is not that far past, it could improve the picture even more! Low end 4K (3840x2160) could still leave a bit of jaggies behind. However, high end 4K (4036x2304) seems to obliterate jaggies completely :) This tools also rids the moronic implementation of blacklists/whitelists that MSI Afterburner uses for 2D/3D profiles. This tool makes it way less bothersome to overclock your graphics card per app! Just make sure MSI Afterburner is running and set up your 2D/3D profiles in-app and this tool with do the rest for you! Just indicate the program you want to overclock on in the whitelist and you are good to go. No more wasting energy for games you can play on 25% cpu power and no more manually overclocking just to play a graphical intensive game. Enchancer also downclocks and overclocks your cpu via the windows maximum processor power settings. Just set your overclock to your cpu with your favority program and Enhancer will manage the rest! Works the same way as the above feature with the GPU but this time with your CPU. This is for people whom Intel XTU isn't compatible with. CPU Overclock per app! Other features include, but aren't limited to: -launching your app with commandline options; no more wasting time making and configuring shortcuts! -hiding your mouse cursor on idle. Setting 0 = Mouse Cursor Completely Off; 1 = Cursor Always On; 2 = Hide After Inactivity and show when activity resumes -toggling snap to and cursor trails; some programs don't work well with these features. that is why they are here. -temporarily disabling the screensaver per app -making pc games save where ever you want them to. know where they save, plug that location in and then plug in the new location and it will take care of the rest for you! NOTES: The best way for the ultimate gamer to play anything is to have an SSD as their OS drive and an HDD for their program installs and games. Never install everything on the same drive or you're gonna have a bad time :P With that said, make sure MSI Afterburner, Rivatuner Statistics Server, and Enhancer are not positioned on the system drive! (untested on a standard user account) Enjoy the extra clarity!~ Report problems if you find any. RELEASE NOTES: (Dec 24, 2015) -1.0: Initial Release. (Dec 24, 2015) -1.01: Removed QRes Dependency. Fixed Desktop Transitioning. Code Optimizations. (Dec 28, 2015) -1.02: Changed Program Name. Added Per App CPU Overclock Manipulation. Added MSI Afterburner GPU Overclock Profiler. Added mouse options. Added commandline usage. Added Screensaver options. Anyone with a standard account, please test.

Nice, I'm ready to give $75 for those starred enhancements made by myself and a few others :) You made me excited again lol.

Jason Carr said shinra358 said So then we have 2 separate cursors. I have a ds4 and if I use the track pad, the normal cursor moves. If I use the left analog stick, the launchbox cursor moves. Why aren't they one and the same like what games do (custom cursor follows normal cursor)? And/or how come I can't disable one? What is a ds4? There are two cursors, but one is the regular system mouse cursor. I'm wondering if maybe you have some kind of additional control going on using an external application. Dualshock 4 (playstation 4 controller). Nah, no external app for mouse on controller. DS4's trackpad controls mouse by default. Both my mouse and the ds4 controls the normal windows mouse. LB seems to create it's own cursor separate from your actual mouse.

If all else fails, you can get an autohotkey script to make sure it stays over the taskbar but it requires interval checks.
-
Any reason the launchbox cursor exists? It doesn't follow the mouse movement. What is its purpose?
-
After adding a new platform, the highlighter doesn't appear in launchbox. Therefore nothing is selected and the controller cannot be used. You have to manually highlight something in order for the controller to be used again.
-
Launchbox isn't making sure that the taskbar is beneath it instead of on top of it anymore.
-
I hope so :P One more thing, can you add to the autohotkey launchbox script to have Start+Select be soft reset (restarts game) and L1+L2+R1+R2+Select+Start to be hard reset (quits to launchbox)?

PLEASE fix launchbox colored mouse cursor showing up in Launchbox when you haven't moved the mouse. It comes up when bringing up details menu and when navigating to the gamebox part from the sidebar. PLEASE do secondary categories in next version. For launchbox AND bigbox. Been waiting a year! Btw, game details go offscreen (hovering on gamebox version). There's a huge space in description. Autosize it so that it doesn't go offscreen perhaps? Game details - Launchbox - I would like the normal game details (not hover version) to be transparent like hover version. Also, when bringup up this game details panel, make it so the background image doesn't resize. Sidebar - Lauchbox - can you add transparency here, and under it, allow for a user configurable separate image to be underneath dependending on what your selection is? Button keys mapable (up/down) to control the scroll bar of the game details panel (thumbstick directions as options too).
-
And of course there's always the sliding boxes like the sony xmb then when you idle on one, the background and music comes. I don't know if that's something you would want to make a separate option for or something that would be the main but that would work too if you think this would be too heavy on the system. Oh, pfft, I already talked about that earlier in this post though :P Forgot. So many websites. So difficult to remember what I said in each one lol.

I think you should focus on the list you already have. The wait for features already requested from all users is killn meh lol. This is one of the things i asked for b4 as well. And if in between scrolls, it shows default bg instead of game bg that its not on yet. The actual movies should start 2 to 3 secs after uve idled (and game bg pics as well) on a selection. only the box should show instantly. Like a psp (my fav interface type). That way thrre would b no lag. Its optional so ppl without beefy machine have a choice of bb or lb. I doubt it would intensive at all. Im not a big fan of the grid view. I understand ud have to add it later but weve already got that in lb so theres really no rush of interest for that (for me anyway).

Waiting for waitlist features to be implemented in launchbox/bigbox: http://thumbs.newschoolers.com/index.php?src=http://americanmoxie.us/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/skeleton-at-desk.jpg&size=400x1000 Lol, j/k (engages flame shield).

GatoSoft said Thanks for the new update Jason! :D By the way, since you were talking about the videos, I was wondering if you are planning to add YouTube support when adding video previews to games. I don't know if it's possible so I had to ask this question that was running around my head for months. xD Thanks again. :) Youtube support for use in this way is not a good idea. Not only would you have to always be connected to the net, you would also have to keep constantly finding video previews because videos don't always stay up forever. Probably would be better to just keep continuing to add your own vids located on your pc.

Highlighter Sound Problem: when holding down any direction and fast scrolling through games on bigbox, the sounds are allocated to the press instead of if the highlighter moves or not, causing continuous noise when the highlighter isn't moving. So when you are at the end of the list and you keep holding a direction, the highlighter sounds will keep playing when they are not supposed to be because the highlighter isn't moving.

Jason Carr said Thanks @shinra358. Per custom filters, I can't reproduce; they seem to be working fine for me. Can you confirm 100%? Can anyone else confirm? Per the keyboard, I assume you mean I didn't make the response time faster like I did with the game controllers? Good point, I'll look into that. I'm surprised about the waiting cursor though; didn't know that was happening. I still have 2 custom categories up and they both have all the games in them. If I have to retype the categories they belong to again, shouldn't the custom categories be empty when I click on them? Nah, not that. Remember when I reported that holding the dpad resulted in the windows waiting cursor and a big lag after releasing and I showed you a video? What you did was took the ability for the list to keep scrolling if you didn't press the dpad again. But now, I don't think you did that for the arrow keys too and it's the same problem with those that it was with the dpad. So you fixed the dpad one, you just forget to do the same with the arrow keys. Here was the vid I showed you about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Et-g5w9NyA I don't remember the post number. Edit: nevermind about the filters. I had to set the filters in the individual games again.
-
Custom filters still seem to have every game in them. Also, the arrow keys on the keyboard weren't fixed with the dpad. Holding an arrow key results in the waiting windows cursor.

"Setup files corrupted. Please obtain a new copy of the program"

I don't use the recent/favs but you could allow it with that part only or you could use R1/L1 to navigate there or use the 2nd analog stick to have navigation in that area only. I'm thinking the right analog stick for this area only. That's great, thanks for adding those futurely :)

-I would like my bigbox to resemble a psp xmb. Instead of having the game/console list as words, I would like an option to have them as the logos until highlighted, then it turns into video. Currently, the box art and the video being in the middle of the screen is taking away from being able to view the background. The system logo would still be at the top left like it already is now in bigbox. And the name of the game would be to the right of the highlighted game only. -I would also like that the selection highlighter stays on the left middle centered and instead of the highlighter going up or down, the list goes up and down just like the psp xmb. -I would like for you to disable the left/right d-pad actions to go to the right/left side of the screen (list > list options/gamelist > games). The confirm button does it just fine. I really like the confirm button to be my navigator, not the left/right dpad directions too. I would like this for launchbox as well. -Game options/info would slide from right when a button is pressed like psp xmb/lauchbox. -Secondary category selection. I want to be able to select custom category first, then it switches to system category list. THEN, I want to select the system that it's on before I choose the game. Or vice-versa. Currently, it's only one category at a time. -Time, date, and battery power in upper right hand corner. -delay before showing box art/video. everytime you switch from a game, I'd like to see the default bg we have set before viewing the game box stuff. This will create a seemless fast scroll and it would just look cooler. Currently, it still shows the previous game and displays the new game's art immediately instead of waiting 2 secs. Visual rep of 1, 2, 4, 6, and 7: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGlOayx6_oE

Yes. For example, vba-m doesnt have this feature. But if you use the vba-m core in retroarch, it has it because retroarch makes it have it. I don't know if it's because it shares the same video window as retroarch but that's what I was asking whether or not that had anything to do with retroarch giving that emulator the ability.
-
Do you think that having games play within bigbox's video window instead of in it's own window will automatically allow this or is it more complicated than that?
-
Wow, that makes me excited. So your saying that if I, for instance, put FFIII steam into bigbox (a game that doesn't have hotplugging support) the game will now have that support (I know bigbox has hotplugging by itself)!? Please say yes, please say yes lol

In big box mode, you know how you see the system at the top left corner? And then the games below it? How about if we can get the catories to show under the system name instead, and then we can press confirm on the catagory to reveal the game list that is related to the category (custom categories more desirable). - - Playstation 2 - Action Adventure Fighting Final Fantasy Worlds - - - *presses on Fighting* - - Playstation 2 - Guilty Gear XX Street Fighter Aniversary Street Fighter EX 3 Mark of the Wolves - - Reason being is because I like to view the game list organized instead of all games bundled together. -Also, can you add an option for the controller buttons to hide the game list/console logo in the part where you nagivate games? -Can we have this same option for the game details as well? -Can we have options in bigbox mode like desktop mode where we can customize how big the box art and video will be an where they will be positioned on-screen? -Can we have options to control the background image darkening? -Like Kodi Media Center, can we have option to where it will dim when idle for a user defined amount of time (even when a game is being played)? -xinput triggers don't register when assigning buttons. -In RetroArch, it gives anything you play the gamepad hotplugging ability whether they had it originally or not. Is it possible that you can do the same with Bigbox?
