Jason Carr said Hi shinra, what views after you customized? Does it work with the keyboard? Hello, I hadn't started modding yet when I noticed it. I put in my code to unlock, went in to options, chose something, pressed the cancel/backspace button on controller and it stays in options and never goes back out of it. Enter and mouse clicking BACK seems to work. Okay so on a fresh start do this and don't use kb and m. Only controller. You can't get back out of options with the controller until you use the kb or mouse to click on BACK first. After that, you can use the controller again to back out of options.

So I'm starting to make my theme. Pressing cancel on the controller won't allow me to get out of the options section. However, I can get out with the mouse.

Bigbox requires kb/m input to update. Not only that, updating doesn't autoclose the instance anymore, you have to do it manually. Then if you deny directx installs, it gives an error and then you have to close 2 more instances of msgboxes. Why can't bigbox update without the use of desktop dialogue boxes? If you have beta update option on and there is a main release too, it forces you to download both instead of just the newer beta version. Why can't updating be seemless without having to use kb/m?

currently, the picture of the console is in a small box and the background of the screen is black. I was thinking to maximize that small box to the bg. ok, cool. So what is that small pic of the console called again? "Oh, do you mean using the same background for all games of that platform?" no xD I mean making all items on the wheel darker that aren't highlighted. highlighted platform image - normal platform image - slightly dark platform image - slightly darker platform image- slightly darkest ya know, to show depth. easilest way to do that would be to just make a gradient vertical .png or something (with it being transparent) and lay it over the items on the wheel (but it has to lay under the layer of the highlighted object on the wheel.
-
fullscreen platform backgrounds like game backgrounds and dimming option for the bg platform names on the wheel.

I think you meant exit while locked not exit while unlocked. It's in bigbox wrong as well. Pardon me if this was said earlier for I didn't read the various posts that were made when I saw this notice in email.

"We could probably allow the user to select what is password protected ultimately" Sounds good. Perhaps there should be a passcode entry at start where it will have 2 options. Unlock and Unlock As Guest. Unlock As Guest would require the password to unlock the program by with everything Rated a certain esrb rating hidden while the normal unlock would have everything available. Probably don't need to display 2 options. Probably could just say Enter Passcode to Unlock. And you can define which is adult mode or kid mode by which password is put in. A section that says Hide could be placed and there you would be able to check/uncheck menu items that you don't want to see (like mednaffe). This would be under but Unlock and Unlock As Guest but only the Unlock 'master' password would be able to open either. So when a kid goes to play, they would put in his password his parents gave to log in to the g rated version. And when an adult wants to play, they could go to Switch User to put in their password for 'adult mode'. Shrugs, just a thought. I'm just pondering here. Don't mind me lol.

"If you don't put a password then it shouldn't ask for one." I know :P "I think it was included so that Kids can't exit and mess something up on the host machine." Ok. That's what I thought, just wanted to make sure. However, if a kid is playing this, said kid had to have already initiated it to start playing it. So kid already had access to the desktop to begin with. Also, it would be cool and tidy-er if in this location, there was one entry called simply 'view' that will take you to all of the view options. Just a little something to clean the menu up a little.

Jason: really hope you can get it perfectly. Wait.... I KNOW you can :) I've noticed a few things in bigbox. Firstly, thanks for using the confirm method of switching to things in the menu instead of using left and right on the dpad in Bigbox. Can't wait til you add that to launchbox as well when you get back to it :) First, launchbox seems to take a while when you first click on it to start it up. Secondly, shouldn't [exit] be outside of the password system in Bigbox? Currently, you can't get out of bigbox until you put the password in.

Saw a vid that said send your ideas to the forum about coverflow positionings. I wrote under that video but thought Id give a visual to the description here: -I dub thee, Coverflow II. -The highlighter would stay in the same place while only the game boxes move up and down. -When a gamebox is highlighted, said gamebox turns into a video. -Switching back to gamebox when it is highlighted would require a button press. With a 2nd button that would switch between back/front cover. -Background and vid will only show when a game is highlight for 2 seconds or more. -Text of the game name would be displayed beside the highlighted game in the right area -Squigly line reps the bg pic -Game boxes in the bg will be shadowed (same with game names) -game description would require button press and would be shown in a medium sized box in the lower right hand corner of screen -game box and vid would be a lil bit bigger than that (just a proto design). Id' say big enough to cover 1/3 of the screen or either 2/6ths of the screen. **what do you think jason and/or sentai?

When updating, it asks you to install runtimes every single time. I already had all the runtimes. No reason to keep installing it over and over. Can you make this optional? Saying no makes an error pop up and the update isn't graceful anymore.

May as well pick up that Uber in the meantime :P

I had a major problem with my 680m in my old laptop for a year in 2013 I think because it took them a whole year to fix their tdr crash fiasco. It got so bad that I just went ahead and sold my whole laptop and bought a new one. And the newer card that was in it had no problems at all. As for the software, gfe got so bad at one point that I just only installed the graphics drivers and phsyx and called it a day. No problems in that area since I stopped installing their bloatware. They even had an issue with gfe erasing all data on an entire drive at one point.

I didn't read the entire thread, but if it wasn't said already, you should always use an SSD for the system installation and an HDD for your favorite programs and games. This way, you system stays fast and if you need to reinstall windows for whatever reason, you can do it without wasting time with transporting data/losing data.

I wonder sometimes. They came out with geforce experience. Now it has once every 24 hours drm. It use to have a memory leak where they didn't fix it until 6 months later. They had 3Dvision and had many options that tridef had, but in the end, they removed every single decent option to make 3D not burn your eyes while tridef still has em. And end the end, stopped supporting it altogether while at the same time, only allowing it under 1 backend. They picked the wrong 3D tech to begin with. The version that is barely supported by anyone. Not gonna mention the always showing 3Dvision dialogue on the screen in which they finally fixed when it already died. Then they got the secret overclocking disabling fiasco that basically rendered my machine useless at one point. And after that, decided to re-enable it but then put a secret mechanism in new cards to prevent it there. They have their nvidia tablets that had a recall because they kept catching on fire. And then, why buy overpriced tablets that you can get a version of that does the same thing for less? Useless online game streaming because they didn't learn from Onlive's failure. Nvidia shield. Ppl buy big rigs to play games at max and here we are selling something that completely goes against all logic that gamers have. Gamers STILL waste money on it though. I don't get it. Now they got drivers that reduce ppl's firestrike scores by a whole 1000 points. Gsync that doesn't work with SLI. I mean c'mon. There was a whole year period where new drivers couldn't be installed on old card whatsoever. Here's the big one. Everytime a new card comes out, the super older cards start tdlring and at one point ppl couldnt update their drivers for a whole 2 years because they weren't even listening at first. And it is still going on even today! If you want to get a driver without bugs, you HAVE to have from the 3rd newest card tech on up! Everything they seem to come up with, they stop supporting almost immediately. Had for me to trust anything they come out with now. What's up with the HD audio drivers in the driver package? We already got audio drivers. They bring nothing new to the table. Oh wait, when hooking up to hdmi, they have a bug where it doesn't even switch audio to the device that's being hooked up. You have to go into the sound options, where it will detect to go to the new device. Even when you don't push anything. What is this I don't even lol. It's just so much stuff that led up to that comment. Sometimes I'm scared to even touch a new drivers because I'm thinking, today might be the day where my $3000 laptop becomes a brick.

Now you can allow any resolution you want across every backend (unlike gedosato) with this custom DSR Tool: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/913698/geforce-drivers/how-to-dsr-non-native-resolution-s-solved-/ Con: Nvidia got rid of it in newer drivers because they are morons just like every thing they create......

Oh, ppl keep referring to the sidebar so I thought they actually meant the sidebar, lol.
-
Why sidebar instead of game details pane? *shrugs*

No problem :) Yes, that is correct. Firstly, are you on a standard windows account? Did you try running as admin? Is everything needed on a non-system drive? Have you gotten everything filled out correctly? If you don't have any cmdlines to use, then make sure that field is blank. If you have invalid values, make sure they are valid. But for right now, what are you trying to do with it currently? A few features? One or two? All? Lemme know. Edit: aaaaaaaaah, I know what's happening. brb, fixing it. Edit 2: fixed. you can download it again now
-
With a lil' guidance of course :P Let me know of any issues.

I'm the one who created the program and I just answered your question. It's the code to actually download it.

for the download. how come I can't edit initial posts?
