  1. Hi jason Sent to new address (post 14). Hope this works!
  2. Hi Jason XML emailed 29th June, hope you received it and find it useful.
  3. I forgot about the device images. Here they are for Bally Astrocade, Emerson Arcadia 2001, Epoch Super Cassette Vision. Two images for each device, 16:9 and 16:10 aspects.
  4. Bally Astrocade, Emerson Arcadia 2001 and Epoch Super Cassette Vision platforms and logos.
  5. Regarding slow load times using TAP tape files, I find that load times can be much quicker with T64 tape files.
  6. Hi Jason. What is the address to email the XML file to?
  7. I did some checking and apparently the arcade (MVS) and console (AES) NeoGeo roms are identical gamewise. They may have different filenames inside the zip but the CRCs are the important bits and should match. And sometimes the AES variant will have extra files. The main difference originally was a physical (money based) one to prevent cartridges being swapped between systems. So I sourced the 3countb console rom again and came up with one that FBA, WinKawaks and Mame all play. Seems like the first console rom was a dud. It looks like a case of you pick your site and hope for the best. And here is what the internal structure of the new, working 3countb NeoGeo AES rom looks like.
  8. Hi locvez. Are you by any chance using the "NeoGeo" rom version of this game? I believe that the "Mame" versions of NeoGeo games are the arcade board dumps, while the "NeoGeo" versions relate to the NeoGeo home console (aka AES). Out of curiosity I grabbed both versions billed as "NeoGeo" and "Mame" and tested them out with Mame, WinKawaks and Final Burn Alpha. All 3 emulators played the "Mame" rom version no problem, but all 3 emulators rejected the "NeoGeo" rom version. Mame rejected it exactly like you posted. I don't use Nebula or Raine so can't comment on which one these will play. Here is what you should see inside both roms.
  9. Hi ayuno. This is a much better approach. I never considered using the Additional Apps method as I just assumed it only catered for executables. Not so. Apparently, Additional Apps can also be used to display documents, images etc, something I didn't know till now. With this you can have as many url links as you want for each game. Many thanks!
  10. I'm getting a similar effect, but only if I go into Big Box mode and back out again. If I only use Desktop mode then this doesn't happen.
  11. This would be a great feature indeed. In the meantime you can use the View Manual feature as this can point to a wide range of filetypes like pdf game manuals, png and other image files and internet shortcuts (URLs). For example I use the View Manual to open ProgettoEmma information webpages for my Arcade games, see top image below. The second image is the View Manual for a BBC game showing the game's on-line map. It may be cumbersome to setup and limits you to one instance per game but it's better than nothing until something else comes along.
  12. Platform and other images for the BBC Archimedes A310. This was one of the early Arcs that were still classed as BBC machines complete with BBC branding and red function keys. Also included is an image that could be used as an emulators device background for an Arcade systems platform.
  13. Hi Fluffo. I just ran a MalwareBytes scan of my LaunchBox Updates folder and all files came up clean. I don't have any file this small (258.8 KB) inside. While these files have totally random names and mine may not be like yours here is my Updates folder just for a comparison. And as far as I know, these files are not needed once the LaunchBox update has finished and can be deleted.
  14. Hi. This game works ok in Mame. The game is 3 Count Bout Fire Suplex (NGM-043)(NGH-043) and the rom is 3countb.zip. The 9 Not Found items in your first image are the elements of the game rom. If Mame can't find any any of them then you may have an invalid rom. Take a look inside your 3countb.zip rom and see what is missing.
  15. SAM Coupe and Tiger Game.Com platform, logo and device images.
  16. Platform, Logo and Device images for Mattel Electronics Aquarius and Sega Genesis Nomad. As some members have mentioned that device images don't always fit to their displays, I've uploaded each device image in 3 different aspects. 16:10 for widescreen monitors, 16:9 for widescreen tvs and 4:3 for older monitors. Hope I'm not overdoing things here.
  17. This is just so shocking Stimpy. Thank God you are still with us. It's unthinkable that someone could do this to you and simply drive away. But then again in our so-called modern society maybe it's not. I'm from an older generation myself and can never get my head around things like this. My prayers are with you for a good recovery.
  18. Hi Jason. Enjoy your well deserved break. We promise not to wreck the forums while you're away!
  19. A few more oldie platforms (jpg) and logos (png) images.
  20. bd000 this is an awesome concept, way nicer than selecting a platform from the sidebar, and much more Platform information friendly. The little hover icons akin to those on the Games boxart images being used to display a Platform Details popup box with the device's statistics fields and user notes, and an Images popup box to view images of the device plus whatever images the user adds like variations, peripherals etc. The bad news is that the download link shows a Dropbox 404 item possibly deleted or removed. I was really looking forward to installing and checking this out. As a 3rd party addon I'm assuming it will work with LaunchBox 4.9 as well as the new 5.0 betas (the BigBox ones). I'd love to see Jason integrating this concept into LaunchBox. Great vision and work here bd000. Just one thing. Just below the download link you mention the option of adding a link from the main (all games) LaunchBox to the main menu. What will this actually do?
  21. Hi bd000 just some platform images for some vintage British Home Computers - some a reworking and some new.
  22. Hi Jason. I updated to the new beta (5.0.0.3) and this time when I try to play a game in BBM nothing happens, no error message just no response. But any non-game Additional App (e.g. auto-run an XPadder game profile first) works ok. Out of curiosity I unticked the Minimise LaunchBox when launching games and Restore LaunchBox when exiting games and success at last. Games are now launching across all my platforms in BBM. On a separate note I notice in the Manage Platforms box that there is a folder associated with each platform, and all have the same path type Games\platform name. I can't find a folder called Games in my LaunchBox folder. I keep all my game platforms folders (emulators, games etc) in a folder in LaunchBox called Platforms. Do I need to do any editing of the folder paths ishown in Manage Platforms?
  23. Hi Jason, running version 5.0.0.2 and so far it looks good. But if I try to play a game on any platform. I get this error popup.
  24. Hi folks. I went and got myself Chrome plated and now the Upload Attachments box is showing the Drag and Drop Files here so things look like they are working. Now that I can finally use this, I haven't got anything to upload LOL Many thanks for all your help and patience with me on this issue.
  25. Just 2 more platform images. Acorn Electron http://i58.tinypic.com/qmz1w3.jpg Acorn Archimedes (revised) http://i62.tinypic.com/34ihdmu.jpg
