  1. The V-Sync setting in Retroarch is located in Settings (cogwheel icon) > Video (towards the bottom). Turning off V-Sync on a non G-Sync / Freesync display will cause screen tearing which can be offputting. You can also take a look at my Retroarch guide I made to maybe find a setting that might be causing an issue for you. Also take a look in your Windows display settings and see what refresh rate your TV is set to use, it should be at 60.
  2. Edit the specific game and in the "Emulation" tab tell it to use a custom command line with the core you want to use.
  3. What @Zombeaversaid. Overall the bsnes cores in Retroarch are the best if the manifest.bml file is correct (they aren't always) and you use that as your rom file in Launchbox. The snes9x core is coming along nicely but is still a work in progress so some games sound might be off and with it you actually point to the rom file itself instead of the manifest.bml file.
  4. No worries, glad you got it all sorted out now
  5. No, you need to edit the specific platform .xml file found in the \data\platforms\ folder. Another option is to remove your games from the the platform in Launchbox and then re-import them. You won't need to re-download the images since those will still be there so it will be fairly quick.
  6. None that I am aware of. I do know that the Notepad++ method works though, I have done it and so have others.
  7. That should not have any effect on it working or not. Not sure what to tell you then other than make sure the rom path is 100% correct or try updating to the beta and use the bulk edit rompath tool. I have done the Notepad++ way to change my rom paths before and even when I did it for that guide I linked I did it as I did the guide with my tester install of Launchbox.
  8. Are you trying to edit the .xml file with Launchbox open or closed ? If open, close it first then edit it.
  9. Try unchecking "Match whole word only" and "Match case". And by the looks of it all you really need to do is replace: ..\..\..\ with F:\ Because the rest of the path is identical.
  10. Or if you want to, you can update to the latest beta which now contains a bulk edit rom path function. But it is a beta so I won't guarantee you won't run into any bugs, it is a beta.
  11. Yeah I did and what's in that guide still applies. Fill in the Find What box with: ..\..\..\Prime\E\Emuladores\SNES\ROMs\ and in the Replace With box put the full path of the folder where the roms for that specific platform are. example: F:\path\to\Roms\Snes\
  12. Yeah I agree, I prefer to use Retroarch where possible but sometimes it's just not feasible.
  13. I believe it's in the core options for it but I recommend the stand alone version of PPSSPP over the RA core, it's much more up to date.
  14. On further thought, it might be possible that the Snes emulation is pushing your CPU a little bit hard since it is only a celeron 1.6 ghz and it may be throttling speed under load. I would definitely give the stand alone a try and see how it performs for you.
  15. As far as I am aware of that core no longer exists and the defaults in Launchbox are outdated, they need to updated badly and are there now more as a template than anything. I am not Brad
  16. I don't know if there is a recommended one, I would just try out the different Snes9x cores, the 2005 one and the one without a year in the name though give the most compatibility https://wiki.libretro.com/index.php?title=Nintendo_SNES_Core_Compatibility
  17. There really isn't a whole lot to setup using Mame through Retroarch. Just set your associated platforms for each "arcade platform" to use Retroarch and the command line parameter to point to the core you want to use. Though to be perfectly honest the Mame cores prior to the latest core are hit and miss on their quality, there have been bugs with them in the past.
  18. You can try the stand alone Snes9x vs the Snes9x core in Retroarch, also try the Snes9x2005 core. It's an older core and I believe (not 100% sure) that it is faster.
  19. If the emulator requires the cue file, Launchbox doesn't change that. The Retroarch core supports .cue and .iso files.
  20. Lol, yeah thanks Nintendo for being backwards. No idea why Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony have to be different with their controller labeling.
  21. Yeah, I am certainly not going to go through each and every game to figure out which ones do it and don't do it. It's just one of those things I figure out what way it is while playing and just get used to it.
  22. I don't know if it is most or not but like I said, it was a common thing.
