  1. It depended on the game but it was a fairly common thing.
  2. The OP was issued a warning for his "abusive" posts, no need to continue this. Now locking thread.
  3. Nintendo has A and B labeling reversed to what is on the Xbox controller.
  4. Not sure what to tell you but here's my video settings in Fusion. Like I said, I don't use Fusion, I prefer Retroarch. It's not that Fusion is a bad emulator because it certainly isn't bad, Retroarch with the GenesisGX core is better.
  5. You may have to set your full screen resolution, try 800x600. I Just tested it with my setup and works fine with no issues but I prefer Retroarch. Fusion is cumbersome with frontends and command line but it does work.
  6. I'll just leave a link to this here, this discussion was had a couple of weeks back and it should answer all your questions. Basically you don't need RocketLauncher unless you want some cosmetic and very advanced features that Launchbox / BigBox doesn't offer on its own yet. If you need support with RocketLauncher + Launchbox there should be some helpful people around here but very few if any of the official moderators such as myself use it.
  7. Did you set your .cfg files in the \cfg\ folder to read only after setting them ? A few days ago someone was mentioning this problem and doing that fixed it for them. I personally have not run into this issue with my HTPC and wireless controller, but I also have never loaded Mame without the controller on.
  8. You can probably use something like Xpadder, joy2key, Controller Companion or some similar controller mapping software to do what you want.
  9. Question #1, not that I am aware of. Question #2, I believe there is something planned eventually but it is unknown at this point in time when. For now though take a look at this thread here and it provides a pretty good workaround using the PDF reader Sumatra.
  10. NeoRageX is an old and obsolete NeoGeo emulator, you really should update your rom set. If you plan on getting Mame setup you should get a newer Mame set and that will contain the NeoGeo set within it. It will make your life much easier.
  11. Is this only happening with some Mame games or all ? If it is all check your emulator details window for Rocket Launcher in Launchobx and make sure that the "Extract ROM Archive" box is unchecked. Beyond that I cannot help you because I do not use Rocket Launcher.
  12. Yeah, that's why I said the most likely cause of the issue is you have a romset that is not 100% compatible with the emulator. I have no idea where your romset is from and for what emulator and it does matter.
  13. If some work and others don't the most likely cause is you have a rom set that is not 100% compatible with the emulator. The other possibility is that you don't have all the games set to use the same emulator. Select all your games in the NeoGeo platform, right click and edit and use the bulk edit tool to set them to use the same emulator if they aren't all set.
  14. You have to specify a core to use in the command line parameters of your Retroarch emulator in Launchbox.
  15. Zip files are how they are supposed to be. Do you have the neogeo.zip bios files in the same folder as your roms ? Are your Neogeo games from a full set or did you piece it together manually ? Do you have Mame working besides Neogeo ?
  16. No netplay in puNES but Retroarch has extremely good netplay and while the accuracy numbers of Mesen and puNES are amazing the 2 main cores (Fceumm and Nestopia) are both very good emulators.
  17. This is a feature that while not difficult is semi hidden in Launchbox so here is a guide to help get started with them. The first thing you want to do is using the drop down menu on the top left hand side of the Launchbox window is to select "Playlists". Next you will want to press the + button that you see at the top right of the above screencap, this will then bring you to the following window where you will set it all up. Name it what you want to call it and if you want the playlist to show when viewing platforms check the "Include this Playlist in Platforms Lists" box and if you want it to show in a specific Platform Category choose from the dropdown menu below the checkbox. Next go to the Auto-Populate tab and check the "Auto-Populate this Playlist" box. You will now be able to set all the different parameters that the list can be generated using. The screen shots above will generate a playlist of games tagged with the genre of shooter in the games meta data. This of course as it sits will grab every single game in your library which can be rather unwieldy so let's narrow it down to only NES games. Click the Ok button and your playlist should now be showing on the left. You can use the Field, Comparison and Value to customize your playlists quite a lot. If you want to modify a playlist or remove it simply right click it and choose what you want to do from the context menu.
  18. I know and I appreciate it but when you label it "Mednafen Ready to Roll Kit" and the first thing you see is a mega link which contains the emulator and bios we cannot have that. It is a legal issue for Jason and we have to be very mindful of it to not get him in any sort of legal trouble.
  19. My personal feelings is that it is silly but from a legality perspective we cannot have blatantly obvious links or even blatantly obviously named links to where to get copyright material. I would love to provide people with bios and give them links to sites with roms, it would make my life so much easier when helping people out around here. Telling people to use google for a specific term though is fine.
  20. That's what I would do, puNES is virtually identical when it comes to accuracy as Mesen but has a couple of extra features like custom palettes and support for Retroarch shaders.
  21. Very strange, none of the check boxes need to be checked for Mesen to work. It works fine for me. Here are some shots of my Mesen setup in LB, ignore the fact my exe is called mesen_p.exe, this just makes it store all the files in a portable folder instead the user folder.
  22. Yes, this is fine to do. Just make sure the proper runtimes are installed on any other computer you want to use the USB drive with. USB 2.0 or 3.0 will be just fine and shouldn't impact performance much if at all and as for size go for as much as you need or want to spend money on. You can cut down on space requirements by keeping it simple and not using video files.
