You mean the item from the poll? It's on the radar of course but we haven't started it yet. :)"

The problem is that my children or my friends, when they start a game, repeatedly press the start button of the game. So while the game starts with a retroarch, the Launchbox reappears again, and then again retroarch. If while the Launchbox reappears, the start button is pressed again, two instances will start. This is a very serious fault.
Then you are free to assign a low priority to this (which for me) is a very serious flaw.

    Thank you

While I agree it would be nice to have downloads of previous versions of cores there is nothing forcing you to update the cores and the source code is available for people to compile their own previous builds.

Of course, but if I lose the core files? I could never recover it, and this would be a big problem.
Fortunately, I do backups on Onedrive

  4. I think this is a fairly serious problem of retroarch, luckily I did the Backup of MAME 0.185 Core and Mame 0.195 which are the two romset I normally use.

It should be that libretto should offer the possibility to download all the cores that have been available over time.

  5. I use a romset of MAME 0.195, and luckily I also have the CORE of MAME 0.195.
However, I realized that in retroarch have already updated to the core 0.196, and then my question is: if the core of MAME are constantly updated, and if I lose the core of the 0.195 version, how do I find the core again with this version number of MAME?

  6. Unfortunately we can not get an excellent result with each game, the fact that the cabinets were built exclusively around the game makes us understand that with the Joystick and the buttons on sale, we can only have something extremely valuable for many titles, but not perfect for each game .

Which Joystick do you prefer and for what reason?
Do you like concave or convex buttons?

    Sanwa, Semitsu , ?

  7. Extraordinary release , congrat @Jason Carr

I would just like to report a "problem" .
Often the screen  "loading game" , it disappears immediately .
since I mainly use Launchbox in my bartop, this allows my children to run the same game 2-3 times, with the belief that the game has not been started.
    If I can suggest a solution ..
Launchbox should resume commands, only after you quit from the game we have started.
    Launch Game = STOP LaunchBox
Quit Game = Launchbox resume from sleep .

Yes,you can create a Master Volume Shortcut and also assign a Shortcut Key.

Right click on a empty area on desktop, and click on New and Shortcut.

Paste the following in to the location of the item area:-

    %windir%\System32\SndVol.exe -f 49825268

Click Next button and give a name to the Shortcut and click Finish.

Now You right click on it and select Properties.

    Click Shortcut tab.

Assign your desired shortcut key like F8 or F9 in the Shortcut Key area.

    Click OK/Apply.

There might be a way with some sort of external hotkeys, it's not something I have looked into personally. In my setup I always have my Windows volume set to maximum and then from there I either adjust in game, or my MP3 player with my keyboards media controls or with my stereo receivers remote.

    Thank you very much

Retroarch volume, so any games being run through Retroarch at that time.

Is there a way to increase the volume of Windows even in Game? With launchbox it seems to be able to increase or reduce the volume only out of the game and not in game

  11. I found the solution .

Delete ONE  MVS game without deleting the ROMs .
Import the game we just deleted , and here we create the new SNK platform Neo Geo AES .
    Finish import .

Now select al Playlist game SNK  NEO GEO , right mouse button -> Edit -> Change platform .

    SNK NEO GEO Etc.

Now let's go to tools - Management platforms,
And change all directory image, video , etc to Arcade

You cannot really convert a playlist to a platform since playlists are only reading the roms of the arcade folder it does not actually separate them out. If you are using the playlist route then you need to do as @neil9000 mentioned in his post after mine (see below)

Now that you have the SNK Neo Geo playlist just open that playlist highlight all those games and change the emulator from Retroarch to the one that you created called NeoGeo. The one you posted pics of in your first post. If you deleted the emulator recreate it. Make sure in the associated platforms to enter the platform tab to enter your correct core.

I had tried this solution, I probably did not correctly run any steps. It did not work for me.
But I always used the same PATH of retroarch.exe in the assignment of the emulator, then of course with the CORE of FinalBurn.

Another problem was that I was erasing all the boxart I had already downloaded, as well as videos etc.
Probably because the image folder was no longer arcade, but NEO GEO etc. and Launchbox does not move them, but only tends to make ghost those already there
