  1. I am hoping someone can help me. I have read a bunch of topic threads, but I am still struggling with my issue. I am running MAME .182 and I cannot get my XBox controller settings to save. I go into MAME and set it up and then save the configuration, but as soon as I exit MAME, it goes away and I have to set up the controller settings each time I want to play a MAME game. I have read that I need to open properties on mame.ini and check read-only and so on, which I have tried, but I may have messed it up. Can anyone help me with what my properties or proper way to go about setting up the controller configs and then how to save it? I would appreciate any help. Struggling here!!
  2. @DOS76 I just wanted to send a note of thanks as your advice saved the day (and weekend!!) as my little guy has been itching to play some games. Thank you!!!
  3. So for the past week or so, LB has not been opening or running for me. I double click on the desktop icon and the blue circle spins for a couple secs and then nothing. It does not do anything. The same goes for BigBox. I thought maybe it has to do with Windows update 1709, but all other items I run on the comp work. I thought maybe it has to do with the latest update from LB. Anyone else experiencing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am running LB and roms off an external hard drive. I had a previous version of LB on another external and it ran fine. I am at a loss.
  4. Well I have to say that this is absolutely disappointing. With RSS gone and now a different direction on the tutorials, I have to say that I am really bummed as to how things have changed in LB-land.
  5. I had the same problem and I had to download RA 1.4.1 and it worked fine for me. RA 1.5.0 would not launch the system.
  6. Brad, it is possible to have music for just the platform? So the same song for when NES is showing or a different song for Sega Genesis? It would be great to have the option to have one song playing for each platform. Thanks for the info again.
  7. I see on the lower right of LB there are buttons to play music and text which states something like "no music selected." Is it possible to add music to LB so that it starts when LB is opened? If so, any direction on how to set that up would be greatly appreciated. I see it each time I open LB, but I don't recall seeing anything about it in tutorials. I appreciate any help.
  8. Well I figured out the issue. O2 did not open for me in RA 1.5.0, but if you use RA 1.4.1, it launches right up. So it is something in RA 1.5.0. Thank you to all who responded.
  9. I am not sure what I am doing wrong, but I follow the tutorial to a T and I cannot launch the games from LB or from RA. I have tried this: - I am using the latest stable version of RA. - I have tried bios from multiple versions. All named (renamed) to O2ROM.BIN All put in the system folder of RA. - I have tried using the nightly build of RA thinking it may be different. - I have tried roms in .zip format from multiple sources thinking I may have had a bad dump. - I have tried RA which I have emulating many systems, I have tried a fresh download of RA with only OEM2 as the core. If I try launching OEM2 from RA, once I get to launching, it says that they wasn't any content. It is the same message as when I tried to launch it without O2ROM.BIN bios in the system folder. I would have to think it is the bios, but I have tried 3 different source bios all renamed to O2ROM.BIN I am at a loss of what to do. The only thing I have not tried is using OEM2 as a standalone. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.
  10. I have the same problem only mine is a 17 sec video and it is playing 3 times and part of the 4th loop. I hope this changes soon. I like the start up video, but not 3x much!!!!
  11. Brad, I was able to spend some time setting up Naomi from your vid. I must have missed something, but I set up Naomi and Naomi 2 perfectly fine, but I did the same process for the GD files and I get an error saying that something is missing from the zipped game file. Am I doing something wrong which is common?

It depends on what zip it's saying something is wrong from. It could be BIOS or it could be the games them selves. There are two ways to get these games, either find packages online that have these games broken out (but may be very outdated), or grab them from a MAME Rom Pack. The most compatible way to achieve this, and may result in the least amount of those errors is the non-merged pack. Split was normally my go to, but it's been giving me issues, including in spots like this. So try and grab a non-merged pack and see if that resolves your issues. The non-merged is double in size, 120GB, but you can just grab the games you want out of the torrents if you'd prefer; though the entire package is worth it I think.

  12. Spycat, I just wanted to thank you for your help on getting the BBC Micro to launch in LB. I imported them and it worked perfectly. I still am lost on the other Acorn emulators, but oh well. Thank you for your time and help.
  13. I appreciate your help good sir. After work today, I will be importing and trying it.
  14. Quick (hopefully) question, I have the BeebEm emulator and roms. I have learned how to start BBC roms through the BeebEm (File, load disk 0, then press shift and F12) and the game will start. Is it possible to have LB autostart (handle the shift+F12) for me when I click on a game to launch it? If so, how can I do that? I appreciate any help.
  15. Well, good idea. Should have thought of it. No, they were not MAME roms, so I found some and now will set it up. Thanks for the good question. Cheers.
