How are the Game & Watch/single handheld games handled in these videos? Is there a video for the Nintendo Game & Watch or is it for all game & watch games? Or is there a video for each? Ideal if it was the latter.

If you are asking about the one I created, below is a screenshot showing the five different games I used. Each has its own video recreation.

I am launching my three games from LaunchBox which are .bin through MAME. I have my correct BIOS files and am using the correct command line but I get an error message saying "Unknown option: -cart 1". Has anyone experienced this problem before?

In your configuration, do you have a space between -cart and the 1? If so, remove it so it reads -cart1.

  3. How does everyone like this logo? I didn't take all the queues from the Hyperspin logo, as I didn't want to step on any toes, but it is reminiscent of it.

Is there any list somewhere of all the platforms covered by these videos?

I have listed the systems I have created in my video additions sections. Viking doesn't list all the systems he created in his original posts, however you can bring up the download page which lists everything uploaded, then you can use the browser's 'find' command and look for any system you are looking for.

    Really spectacular, amazing ...
    I love these videos ...
Thanks for the work to you and Viking.
And the only thing I feel is that I would be missing two videos, for the systems
NEC TurboExpress and Gaelco ... I guess asking you to do them would be an excess, I'm sorry.
I work with the Gimp very well with the photos and drawings, but to work with videos, I am a true zero ...
In any case, apologies for my poor English and thank you for your work.

@zlagos, requests are welcome. I'll add these two to my queue and see what I can come up with.

  6. If your rom naming convention matches the Emumovies file names, you will get a match/download. Like you, I didn't have matches for all my prototypes, so I used the EMU Movies sync tool to download the art assets that was missing. You can also just go to the Emumovies console downloads page for the 2600 and get the zip files for the art your want, e.g. box fronts, box backs, 3D boxes, carts, etc.

  7. Probably the quickest, and safest thing to do is just install Launchbox to a different directory, then bring the system.xml from the 2nd installation back to your original installation location. If you are curious what was corrupted in the system.xml, you could edit the old and new, then compare them. If you have a utility like WinMerge installed, it will compare the files for you and show you the differences.

  8. It appears your System.xml is corrupt. Have you checked the Backups directory to see if you have a recent backup of system.xml? If so, replace the system.xml file with one of the backups and try to restart launchbox.

Yeah, ive using RBTray for minimize all my apps. But Launchbox doesnt work.

I would love to see this implemented on the future versions, I think is not so difficult...

Have you tried RBTray on the new LaunchBox Next app? It seems to allow most utilities that use global hooks into the interface. Also, if you change the border style to Windows style under Options/Theme, I think regular LaunchBox should now work w/RBTray. At least it seems to here.

Unfortunately it did not work. Still the same result, they launch to the system home screen but no further.

Have you tried launching one of the chds from Mame itself? To make sure the chd runs, or not?

Just wondering if someone might know what is going on with my setup. I just added the Philips CD-i to Launchbox. I am running it through MAME. I have the cdimono1 BIOS in my MAME ROMs folder and am using the command line: cdimono1 -cdrm. I have the .bin and .cue file format for each game and have the .cue files added to Launchbox. I know in the tutorial it was mentioned that the .cue files might make it crash but they do not on mine. Each game launches without crashing but never makes it past the following screen:

1.thumb.png.006ce9d5ae28af51b76f53cb736e503b.pngHas anyone else run into this before? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

If memory serves, you need to use chd files under CD-I emulation with MAME. Why don't you convert one of your bin/cue files to chd and see if that works. This command should work (edit the cd.cue and cd.chd filenames to match your files): chdman -createcd cd.cue cd.chd

Grab chdman from your MAME directory.

  12. While I generally like 3D boxes, the one thing that usually keeps me from using them is the lack of coverage for the systems I have. For instance, I have the original TRS-80 and Tandy CoCo in my system list, and they rarely are supported with media. I then have to try and reverse engineer a template if I want their inclusion in a common theme.
