  1. Thanks Jason. Looks awesome! Is there an option to hide platform banner images? Had to put a transparent image there because I couldn't find the option. Also when I would delete the banner, LaunchBox would just automatically add another one. Also could we get the wheel to fade in and out? It is in the way of the video.
  2. In LaunchBox, go to Tools > Manage Platforms. Here you can select where LaunchBox should look for all image types for the specified platform and roms as well. If you want to change emulator locations, go to Tools > Manage emulators
  3. Just some ideas: - Add artwork/bezels for mame - Rocketlauncher tutorial once the plug-in for LaunchBox is released. - ScummVM tutorial. - Some AutoHotKey scripts stuff you can do for Windows/DosBox/ScummVM games. - I saw this mentioned on Youtube comments by Ali Essa, that front page BigBox demo video is pretty outdated. Almost a year old. There has been a ton of new features added and it should be updated.
  4. @criticalcid sad to hear :( Really appreciate all the effort you put into this project! Don't know how hard it would be for Jason to do, but +1 on having BigBox support Hyperspin theme zips. Would get around all these roadblocks. Your the man Cid. Chin up!
  5. GonjaT said Zombeaver Thank you for seeing what you can do for the Gameboy and Gameboy Color, as I am certainly looking forward to seeing the outcome of my setup with the art you have created! as for Ps4 I completely understand and will wait. I only request it and have it on my system because I have been working on my home automation setup and will be done hopefully in a month or so.... What the Ps4 wheel will do is when I click the game, and then click play, it will then run a script, send a signal to my harmony hub(change input) to my Ps4 source on the TV, then dim my lights, and also adjust my surround setup to game mode from theater mode. It wont be able to launch the specific game unless i can tie it into PC remote play some how and have it auto navigate to that game from there... but that's something I will look at in the future. That sounds so badass lol
  6. Jason Carr said Hi @rmilyard, I have this exact controller board and for most part I love it. MAME works out of the box, as the keys are configured specifically for MAME. You will need to reconfigure keys and such for Retroarch and other emulators, but it's relatively easy to do. Every single input/output from the board maps to a key on the keyboard, which works well enough. You can change the keys coming out of the controller with special programming, but I wouldn't bother. I'd leave them the same and just tweak emulators to match. Per using the controller, the quality and build is excellent. It has stood up to my kids beating on it very well. My one beef with it is there's a hard plexiglass edge all around the sides of it, so it can get annoying after a while when using it if you put your arm on the edge of the plexiglass. Oh yeah the plexiglass! Sometimes when I'm on it for a long time and I lift my elbow/arm, it can hurt lol. I got to look into buying some table edge cushions or something for it. rmilyard said I got a 32" 120hz Vizio to put in the cabinet. I have a 40 inch Vizio on mine and I think its just too big when playing games that take up the whole screen.
  7. @rmilyard Can't speak for the "Emulation" edition, but I have the "Pro" edition and sit-down cabinet. Very happy with it after almost 2 years. Was just a pain in the ass setting up the cabinet. Either the instructions were incorrect (which were poorly written) or one of the pieces of wood were incorrectly labeled. Had to take the whole thing apart when I was almost finished to switch a piece that was actually needed somewhere else. I choose the pro edition because it uses x-input, works with consoles, and was the only one with Sanwa buttons and joystick. I know its too late because you already ordered, but I remember emailing their customer support at the time asking if there were any specials and discounts. They were very/cool and gave me $100 off discount code. Do you know what size screen you will use for your cabinet?
  8. SentaiBrad said We have 3D Artwork and with the Image Priorities of the latest beta you can easily tell LaunchBox to use them instead. The rest of that stuff has been requested here and there but there have been a lot of things requested and we have to go by what people want the most generally. These are actual fully rendered 3D models of arcade cabinets/boxes/Characters which is different from LaunchBox. See at 50 second mark of first video and 31 second mark of the second video. Who knows if you can even do this now in the beta. Would be so sweet if LaunchBox had this as well!
  9. http://www.gameex.com/gameex-evolution-alpha-0-1/ Thomas Speirs and team over at Game Ex has finally released an alpha of Game Ex Evolution! I remember this being announced years ago and being really excited because it is supposed to support HyperSpin theme (not videos) and easily customizable themes and interfaces. Looking forward to playing around with it tonight. (You might want to lower the volume on your speakers for the first video. The music is super loud and annoying. At least for me.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=elTKKERzHQY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=86LDSRRQies
  10. Just an idea, I know Game Ex and Hyperspin premium offer a coupon code for like a 25% off discount on Emumovies. Would be an awesome incentive if Launch Box did this as well.
  11. Glad to hear that you got permission from Circo!!!! Sorry if I have caused any problems. I could tell they were from Emumovies and realized that you would need permission from Circo as well. If you can't get permission from the HS creators, maybe you can try Attract-mode? I know it supports HS themes. Thank you Cid and Please keep us updated!
  12. SentaiBrad Have you used HyperSpin or created a theme in Hyperspin before? You can put any video there. You just have to make sure the video is just name accordingly in the "Media" > "System name" > "Video" folder similar to LaunchBox. Here is the very first theme in Cid's video with a changed video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPpo0Axwq6U&feature=youtu.be The theme creator created the that theme in mind by allowing any Vertical video to be used. Cid and everyone involved definitely has good intention, but this is something that should be run by Circo for sure. I'm sure many of these themes will have some of his videos because I have seen every single one of them on Emumovies for far just looking at the few that were uploaded before.
  13. Well I'm not sure if you noticed, but the 289 themes Cid has already uploaded in his first post contain both the HyperSpin theme and the Emumovies clip. So it doesn't look like it will work the way you think it will Brad. The Hyperspin theme creators have only made the images around the gameplay clip. The gameplay videos are done by Circo over at Emumovies (as far as I know). The 3 other sites you are referring to most likely stolen them from Emumovies. Anyone can take a video and claim it as there just like artwork. People pay good money to get nice quality videos over at Emumovies (myself included), so you have to understand why people may get upset at this.
  14. sagaopc said Jason, pls put option to add adicional aplications to all games, because I want to use nomousy and I have to choose game by game to config... It's very painfull! Could be a good idea to add "Additinal apps" to the bulk editor. I know RocketLauncher is able to hide the mouse when starting your game if you need this now.
  15. SentaiBrad said You should read before making accusations like this. This has nothing to do with EmuMovies and the original theme creator on Hyperspin said that Cid had his full permission to do this. Well the videos within those themes are taken straight from Emumovies.
  16. Beetlemaniac19 Really? I'll try to be on tonight's Dev session and bug him about it in the comments lol You can still use Rocketlauncher with LaunchBox. http://www.rlauncher.com/forum/showthread.php?2632-Integrating-RocketLauncher-into-LaunchBox&p=20969#post20969 Its just not practical, but at least everything has been working for me so far.
  17. A French user in the BigBox theme thread mentioned a scraper that has French and UK descriptions for games (Used Google translate. Could be possible I misunderstood). Here is a link to the post: https://www.launchbox-app.com/forum/big-box-custom-themes/bigbox-user-create-theme-mega-thread-share-your-custom-made-themes/page-5#p20786 As far as how to then get this metadata into LaunchBox, I have no clue.
  18. Last i heard, Bleasby was still working on it. That was over a week ago though.
  19. Didn't see it on BitBucket. Created a ticket earlier in the day, but have no idea where it is now.
  20. Mute64 said I had a look at his link he left in the Video description, lots of nice artwork there. http://www.screenscraper.fr/systemeinfos.php?plateforme=26&alpha=0&numpage=0 Yeah saw that as well. Too bad I can't figure out how to download some of it. Guessing you need to sign up and create an account ? Have no idea because the site is all in french.
  21. Anyone know how to mark a game as completed within BigBox? Can't seem to find it anywhere...
  22. Here is another banner for GameCube. Might make a PS1 and PS2 banner since I noticed those are missing as well
  23. Figured out how to add a nice faded effect lol
  24. First time ever using photoshop. Hope this looks good. Used Frackatchoo's supplied PSD
