  1. Hey Jason here is the video as promised. I am on the latest beta and deleted the entire cache folder. Then I cycled through SNES all the way through to get those images cached again. Then I started recording. In the first video I am just holding the right key on the keyboard. Gets really choppy including the game video as well. Once I select the game and the game video shows again, it runs like it should. Second video, I am just holding the key to go in one direction pretty much. I have removed clear logos, almost all videos, and background. Only the boxes to see what happens.
  2. I believe it is a performance issue since the images do eventually appear. I copied the images from my main launchbox folder to my test folder. I will post in the performance thread.
  3. Yeah sounds like his External Hard drive is formatted in the WBFS file system that only Wii recognizes. I remember using a software called Wii Backup Manager some years ago that can manage hard drives like that. Worth a look as well.
  4. Thanks again Jason! Tried the new beta last night and it didn't seem to make a difference when using VLC or WMP. Also copied over my Launchbox folder to my Surface Pro 4 and it made little difference. Was performing the same. Might start moving more images and videos to my fresh Launchbox install this week to see how it performs/makes a difference.
  5. Thanks Jason! Looks like it hasn't made much of a difference though.
  6. Had some spare time last night and decided to do a little troubleshooting. Created a new LaunchBox folder called "LaunchBoxTest". Did a fresh install of Launchbox there (latest stable release, no beta) and copied my XML, License, and Images+Videos for Virtual Boy. Had the images for Virtual Boy cached and it worked beautifully in CoverFlow. I went back to my regular setup and tried doing that on Virtual Boy there. Could not get the same results. Was just so very slow and video and images being very laggy. Then I went to Arcade (where I have over 4,000 games for this platform) and I held the "right" key on my keyboard. Performance was very choppy again here as well and then my computer Blue Screened. Definitely seems like a caching issue. Going to bring my Surface pro 4 from work today and test it out on there to see what happens (i7, 16GB ram, 256 SSD). Also may try transferring some more images and videos into my LaunchBoxTest folder to see what happens.
  7. Have been so busy setuping up systems and not actually playing reminded about my Big Box issues using coverflow: I reported about it here. Pretty much scrolling through the coverflow view will cause massive lag. Have tried moving to an SSD but still saw the issues there as well. And when it happens BigBox will take a huge amount of space on my ram. I have seen it go past 5GB before (there are some pics in the thread). have only been using the text with details view where it is very stable there.
  8. Hey Jason. Sorry I missed your reply. Yes I am using WMP and still having issues.
  9. Please re upload the psp boxes. For some reason you uploaded a zip download of Light speed lol. And you can tell 12mb is too small for that many images.
  10. Looks like it since no exact location is specified for SSF.exe. You should try it anyways see what happens. And you can name your batch file whatever you like. Probably something easily identifiable like SSF.bat Also just to chime in with Daemon Tools, yeah they have been changing the commands around with the later versions. No idea why.
  11. Just finished AMR2. Fantastic fan remake! Just as good, if not better then the other 2D metroid games
  12. lol I thought the God of war cover looked great! Looking forward to the logos. The MS-DOS bezel you just uploaded is sweet!
Exactly as described! Menu sounds from one of my favorite Final Fantasy games. Thanks for sharing Sithel.
  13. First ever upload to the LaunchBox downloads section!!! Very exciting and thank you for sharing Sithel. The Final Fantasy sound packs are awesome
  14. Accidentally stumbled upon these today. NMC's old links. Hopefully he doesn't mind me putting these back up. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9gyPenhMg2DMnBzR0s2dE5RNDQ https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9gyPenhMg2DeDFrRTh0cEdiZkU https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B9gyPenhMg2DNGpkb3c3Qk44ZDQ
  15. Hey Jason! Great job on the new forums. It is awesome. Can't wait to see content appearing in the downloads section! Just a suggestion, please add more categories to the download section to make things more organized
  16. http://www.mediafire.com/download/61u88wm5556q66y/PSP_3D_Boxes.7z Made a throw-away mediafire account and uploaded them. Let me know if you guys have any problems. And don't forget, I got these from NMC so please thank him! Enjoy!
  17. I guess I was the only one that grabbed these lol. I will upload them somewhere and place a link here soon for everyone. These 3D psp boxes from NMC are a mix of about 950 Japan, US, and Europe boxes. There are some stinkers and there are some really good ones! I definitely recommend grabbing these. I'll upload a sample of two poor ones and two good ones so that you can see what I mean.
  18. I would just create a thread in the Images and videos section of the forum and post your bezel there. Don't see a reason to create a bitBucket ticket for this. Also, Rocket Launcher has a forum too. It probably would be best to post your bezel there as well since Launch Box isn't the only front end supported and more ppl will get to see/use it.
  19. The Cover Flow with Details view is very similar: I bet you can switch the location of the video and details around to get an even more similar look. Jason so far posted two tutorial videos about how to edit/create your own themes so you maybe to do this yourself : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYBvzuvtZ3k https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iB3IbhGiHws BTW that pic you posted is the Aeon MQ6 theme for Hyperspin incase you didn't know. http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/topic/13804-aeon-mq6-unified-16x9-wip-branch-of-dark13s-aeon-nox-xiii-htpc-kodi-style/
  20. To install a theme, you have to place it in the themes folder of your Launchbox folder. Then within BigBox go to options and you change your theme somewhere there. Also this theme is outdated and will need a bit altering to work with current versions of BigBox. Please read the posts in this thread, especially Jason's on how to do this.
  21. It is possible to mount images with the additional apps, but not sure about your case. Maybe you can find your answer here: https://www.launchbox-app.com/forum/features/using-daemon-tools-through-launchbox If nothing there works, I can recommend using rocket launcher. It supports ootake EDIT: lol lord Monkus just beat me.
  22. Did some more playing around and discovered that my FPS is tanking (into the single digits) when I am in both Cover Flow views which is why some images are not appearing and videos running poorly when navigating. Works fine in the other views though. So I'm going to use Games text view for now. I am running Windows 10 Pro and here are my versions of .NET installed
  23. Zombeaver said That's definitely odd. I just tested both of the things you mention and I'm not experiencing them on mine. Are you running any AV software? Maybe try adding your Launchbox folder to its whitelist if so. You might also want to try turning down your RAM cache size in Tools -> Options -> System -> RAM Cache since it looks like BB is straining your system a bit. Thanks for the reply Zombeaver. I have only have Windows Defender running on my Windows 10 Pro computer. I added the entire Launchbox folder to the exclusions and nothing changed. Can still reproduce it. Have also tried: - Disabling RAM cache, Ram cache at 2GB, or Ram cache at 4GB - Change quality of cover flow images. Tested low, medium, and high. Also my specs are: G3258 processor Radeon HD 7850 graphics card 120 SSD Launchbox on external HDD 5400 RPM 8GB ram
