    How to add PPSSPP?

I really don't like RetroArch or Rocketlauncher. Currently I'm migrating all my stuff from RL to LaunchBox. Ideally I would like to throw out all launchers and Xpadder if possible, but still be able to use both my xbox360 and x-arcade in all my games. This would mean I only have to use LB and emulators. No other bits and pieces to deal with or worry about. It sounds as if this is possible based on what I'm hearing. So, it seems I would probably have to try to set this up in each of my emulators, although I'm not currently sure how easy or hard that will be. So I'll take ps1 first as my experiment to see if I can get it (ePSXe) to work with both my x-arcade and xbox 360 and no Xpadder. I have MAME working this way already but probably never would have figured it out if not for finding a controller config file for this.

    How to add PPSSPP?

@Zombeaver, yes for a couple emulators i am using the process close ahk script. @SentaiBrad, do the emulators for these support simultaneous keyboard input (i need it for my x-arcade) as well as native xinput for xbox360: ps1 super nintendo snes sega cd sega 32x nintendo entertainment system nes nec pc engine daphne and even besides the ones above that do support native xinput for xbox360, will they work for xinput and keyboard at the same time without changing controller settings?

    How to add PPSSPP?

I run Xpadder and have all the button sticks and dpad setup the same for my xbox360 controller as my x-arcade joystick so i can use either one in games. And I believe some emulators I've tried do not have xinput support natively, so if i want to use either xbox360 OR x-arcade i have to have Xpadder running with same mappings as my x-arcade. And if Xpadder is running, I can't use LB enable controller or else have the double inputs. Maybe I'm not very experienced or clear about this setup, but I do not know any other way to use both xbox360 and x-arcade(which is basically a keyboard) for all emulators without using Xpadder and letting it run all the time. And I thin I've found in some emulators that have native xinput support, i could not use that plus my keyboard type x-arcade. If there is a different solution to all this madness, I would love to know, but the person who set me up initially with all my emulators and controllers (an expert) said this was how i had to do it. As it stands now with my current controller setup, I am able to play any game with either controller and everything is happy. And this way I can still drive the LB interface but through Xpadder keyboard method. So that just leaves me without the automation ability from LB.

    How to add PPSSPP?

So, if I enable my xbox360 controller in the LB settings while my Xpadder is running in the background, when I try to navigate around the LB interface, the controller sends double inputs. In other words, if I scroll down the game list, each joystick or dpad down press sends TWO presses, if I press the select button it sends TWO presses, etc. So, I can't have Xpadder running IF I set LB to use xbox 360.
  5. awesome, i'm also going to try this in my setup! thanks.

    How to add PPSSPP?

hi @SentaiBrad, the problem I see with controller automation is that you need to enable a controller in BB, and that causes a problem. So for example, I use xbox360, x-arcade joystick, and keyboard across my platforms and pc games. i need to have Xpadder running all the time so I can go into any platform and use either xbox360 OR x-arcade/keyboard (except with PC games). Because of this I can't enable the xbox360 controller and automation in BB, because then i cannot drive the BigBox interface with my xbox360 controller as i will get double inputs for everything. what you say is probably true if you don't use Xpadder or other similar controller driver. But I feel most people are probably forced to use a controller driver like Xpadder so they they can startup a game from any platform and have their controller work (lots of emulators do not support native controllers). if you know of a solution for what i describe, i'm all ears
  7. I think the all emu settings table at the start of this topic should be updated for Sony PSP to set this command line so you can exit games to LB easily. I found this in another post and it worked well: I recommend the following default command-line parameters in the PPSSPP "Edit Emulator" section Enter the the text in the "Default Command-Line Parameters" box: --escape-exit --fullscreen

    How to add PPSSPP?

Thanks! Before seeing this, I went and added a autohotkey script to exit because the forum page settings for ALL EMULATORS does not have this. Now I removed the autohotkey script and just set your suggested parameters and all is good. Can someone update the all emulator settings post for Sony PSP?
  9. Ahhh, I just noticed you want to break up by pinball table. Ok, mine are all in one where you pick the table after launching.
  10. You could always create new platform and add the game there if you want it in its own platform on the wheel.
  11. I had mine in RL and HS with its own wheel too until moving to LB. But I decided it made more sense for me to just add it to my PC games platform "Windows", so that's where I added it. No issues.
  12. I see. Sorry about that. The original script probably couldn't work anyway since it close the startupEXE. In this case that is probably cmd.exe and not the emulator.
  13. @timekills, the semi colon is a per line comment. only the first line has the comment. maybe the formatting is just messed up on the forum. there are supposed to be several lines.
  14. It's a mystery then. If there was a way to enable a log for the import, I could check it.
  15. I don't remember which games now, but it was not only Steam games. However my post on this problem with one Steam game is where I noticed it and began looking around: http://forums.launchbox-app.com/topic/32999-steam-import-misses-a-game/#comment-199039 I think one of the most recent ones I had this issue with was missing Dead or Alive for PS1 and had to force it in. But can you tell me, does LB consider a game a duplicate even if the only game with a same name is in a different platform than where you are trying to import?
  16. just filed. thanks!
  17. Awesome! I found that you can add anything you want to the Platform Notes tab in Manage Platforms and it will show up in BigBox! I wish it woulds also show up on the right side in regular Launchbox also.
  18. BigBox: 30 seconds LaunchBox: 24 seconds, Switch between platforms: 4 seconds From a fresh boot with settled desktop, I used a stopwatch to time how long it takes my Bigbox to launch to a usable wheel (where the wheel is usable and not frozen). Spec: Windows 10 x64, Intel i5 2500k cpu, 8GB RAM, OS on SSD, but all Launchbox/games/media on usb 3 drive Launchbox.xml = 32.3MB, 14,680 unhidden games How long does yours take? I'm just curious and hoping for a good sampling. Who will be the winner and how fast is yours?
  19. I'm wondering if there is a good way to display some type of note in BigBox for each Platform when the Platform wheel is sitting on the Platform name but not entered yet. I would like to let friends and family who play, know which controller(s) to use for platform x, and maybe any other relevant notes I may want to add. I would like this for regular Launchbox also, but not sure how to display, maybe by hovering over the platform and getting a tooltip? Thanks.
  20. Hi I just noticed after having imported many platform roms that some platforms are missing many of my games. So I tried importing one of the missing ones and found it only imports if forcing duplicates. But there are no duplicates in this specific platform. Maybe there is a name in some other platform that is the same? Why does LB consider games duplicates if not in the platform you are importing to? Is the easiest solution to remove all games from each platform and import all games again choosing to force duplicates? That may be a pain. Thanks.
  21. This worked for me, but in order to exit the Demul emulator from the game (via escape key), I had to change the default autohotkey script for Demul emulator config in Launchbox to this: $Escape:: Process, Close, demul.exe ExitAPP return So using the batch file, thanks @astoufu !!, and the above autohotkeyscript, I'm good to go. And using Launchbox, I no longer have the problem I had before with Rocketlauncher not cleaning up the extracted demul game files (only was a problem with Demul for some reason in rocketlauncher).
  22. i finally noticed that this doesn't happen if i leave the mouse inside the screen of the computer running LB/BB. sometimes i control that computer from my Mac with Synergy (mouse and keyboard). when the game was unzipping i would often bring the mouse back over to my Macbook to do other things. i think this is what caused the error with Demul. as long as i leave the mouse/keyboard active inside that computer, no error! problem solved.
  23. Ok, looks like modifying the autohotkey script from its default did the trick when launched via batch file! So I replace the default script created by Launchbox and add this one: $Escape:: Process, Close, demul.exe ExitAPP return It used to be this one which does NOT work: ; This section closes Demul when pressing Escape $Esc:: { Process, Close, {{{StartupEXE}}} } So far, I can finally use LB for Dreamcast given these changes.
  24. back to Rocketlauncher for now as it can exit the emulator fine with escape key.
  25. any idea why i cannot exit the game anymore like i could without the batch file method? i tried with and without Xpadder but still no luck if i run it from batch file.
