So, your suggestion to install Launchbox in it's own folder [LB TEST] leaving the original untouched? How would the License be handled?

LaunchBox and BigBox take about 30 seconds to show the UI. My Current Games count is 13808. I am considering a clean install but the machine is used just for Games and pinball. there aren't many third party just what's needed to run the games and most are ran on Secondary 1TB HDD (Mechanical). Question / Troubleshooting: What's the best way of Starting over? I like to test the load time without anything. Then add back each system and see how it impacts load time.

I am looking for a script to clean up a files dating back 15 years that follow the MAME'S naming convention. overtime the collection is just gotten out of control. I Hoping that reducing this down will speed up BB/LB Loading.... Thanks in advance. for those that may post a script i know they come in may types so please post as txt along with what the program that is being used (power shell, command shell, vb script...). perhaps their are others looking to do the same. I have successfully upgraded to windows 10 Creator (not a clean install yet) everything works well. However, Big Box still takes 30 or so seconds to show it's UI causing the startup videos to loop if shorter then load time. What is BB doing prior to displaying it's UI / or when an Intro Video is playing? Ideally i like for the UI to load as quickly as possible or once the startup video is done playing or a key is pressed to interrupt it.

I am doing that. I am going to also try to reduce my collection

Videos aren't choppy just loading of UI and cache images.

I have over 10000 games (over 20 years of games that I have purchased or converted ROM). I am supporter of .NET developers and have chosen to use BigBox as my dedicated FE. I have some unexplained slow downs and loading issues that i never experienced with other FE. 1. videos will loop multiple times during loading of BigBox. I have chosen a longer video but the video is interrupted when BigBox is ready. 2. During navigation i am presented with gray image place holder while loading or fetching the image and they do show up after about 20 seconds. 3. Sometimes BigBox will show partial video of a game or platform that had passes during navigation. example Atari 2600 will play but if I skip Daphne and go to Nintendo it will play partial videos until it catches up. (inconsistent). 4. When launching a game their seems to be a slight delay when loading the game this is inconsistent. (If I load the game directly using the emulator this is not an issue) Before I go through a clean install of the OS is anyone experiencing these issues or have recommendations to improve performance?

Has anyone created a user and put their windows 10 in Kiosk mode? I like to lock windows 10 down only run in BigBox mode and not allow access to my system when i have friends and family over. I have successfully shelled bigbox but I wonder if their is better way.

Thank you for your feedback I am also using the Insider Preview but have excluded the arcade machine. its running the Anniversary edition and gets patched 2 weeks after a release. I figured if their were core changes i would do a clean install instead of an update. I need a good tool to turn off windows 10 services that i don't use and see if anything is gained.

Windows 10 Creators has anyone notice any performance improvements of doing a clean install vs an update? How is vs their previous builds? Thanks in advance.

So I am looking at the Raspberry Pi 3 and Windows IoT Core. 1. Will launchbox and big box work? 2. will Visual Pinball and Steam work?

That what i did I created the platform and tried to import into it and got 0 imported. i even created an jukebox.xml. This is the only item that has given me issues, but it works as a windows item so instead of having it's only dedicate menu it's just one level down under windows.

I am using the latest beta version and i have tried to the following with little to no success. 1 Add a Platform called Jukebox and Tools -> Manage Platforms. I am able to add the item but it never shows up in the list of platforms and when i try to add the ,exe it says 0 games added. I was able to add this to the windows platform but not really where i want it to live. There are special items that would make sense to launch directly at top level. Such as a Jukebox and Kodi.

How do you add a platform such as a jukebox and then call then launch its exe file? I currently have it in my windows games but prefer to have it as it's own platform

i finally got DWJukebox working. within Lanchbox where is the best place to add a Jukebox? Are they are any Jukebox mp4 that can play prior to Launching the dwjukebox?

No luck it got worse renaming the files following the mp3tag method. Still crashes reading mp3 list. Itunes and Winamp
