  1. I'm trying to contribute a little more to the community here, and I've started working on a new theme (I'm really just creating the outline and some of the artwork at this point). So this is what I've come up with as a blank Box-Front.png. This would come up instead of the regular launchbox logo with the blue hue. I think this would live here: "C:\Users\[user name]\LaunchBox\Images\None\Box - Front" , but I'm not quite sure. I kind of feel like in a menu interface like BigBox, this more bland grey look is more ideal, to kind of mimic what you'd see in a game console. I'll be doing my best to create blanks for the other artwork as well (I imagine this would work as artwork for the Box-Back as well). Let me know what you think.
  2. Thanks, I'll check this out when I get home today, hopefully I can put together something presentable by the end of next month.
  3. So, I'm working on a new HTPC, and I've added a lot of custom art for BigBox to make it so I have a separate tridef library, and a library that is just Plex Media Player. So I'm looking to create a theme that would feel kind of like a game console, and set it up in such a way that it has more of a grid type interface where I can navigate to separate areas for games and potentially media apps (netflix/hulu would be nice to add as well, but I don't know that it'll happen anytime soon). So I wanted to know if this is a realistic project for me to take on, as in within BigBox's capabilities. Or is the scrolling wheel/list a limitation to the BigBox GUI? If it is something that I should be able to put together, what tutorials are the best to get me started with it?
  4. HoloButton Startup View File It looks like I posted this in the wrong place before, so I'm uploading it correctly now. So I figured out how to embed the youtube preview (I feel silly about how simple it was). I've placed it into the downloads section, so hopefully you guys enjoy this. This is my first attempt at a startup video for BigBox. Submitter Pyrometheous Submitted 03/28/2017 Category Big Box Startup Videos

  6. ok, tried it out on a different computer, just to see if it would work. And it does. So there is something wrong with the computer I'm running launchbox on, I'll need to figure that out this week.
  7. I've done quite a bit of experimenting and also updated Tridef3D to a newer version, however I'm still running into the issue. Supposedly you can right click on a game and create a shortcut, which I've done, an example of the shortcut is: "C:\Program Files (x86)\TriDef 3D\TriDef\TriDefIgnition\TriDefIgnition.exe" -a "Spec Ops: The Line". This will not work at all for some reason. I can launch the game from tridef ignition fine, but from the shortcut the "-a" argument just prevents anything from launching at all. I've tried the command line argument in launchbox, threw an error on me and launchbox wouldn't startup again until I re-made the "C:\Users\username\LaunchBox\Data\Platforms\3D PC.xml". So, I'm a bit stuck at this point. I feel like TridefIgnition has this feature built into it, but it doesn't want to work correctly with it for some reason. Would you have any other suggestions by chance?
  8. Another dumb question, I've been messing around with command line parameters, and I can't get it to work. Do you have an example as to what I need to do by chance? EDIT: I'm derptastic tonight. So I created a shortcut using the command line from that other thread, and it doesn't work, so I'm back to square one trying to find a command that'll work.
  9. It looks like there is a command line argument for tridef, but can you use the same .exe to represent several different games in launchbox? I suppose you should be able to, since emulators are basically doing that. I'll tinker with it some tonight.
  10. I don't know, I'll need to research that. I don't think so, but I may have overlooked something.
  11. So, I have both Nvidia's 3DTV, and Tridef 3D, because some games look better in one than the other. Spec Ops the line is a good example. Is there a way you can have bigbox launch a specific title with Tridef? Ordinarily you'd need to launch the game from Tridef Ignition, where 3DTV just requires you to put in a quick key combo (I set mine to Ctrl + T). Might be a dumb question, but this is the noob area so I thought I'd give it a go.

  14. That is awesome to hear. I can't wait to experiment with that myself. I also discovered that if you run shell:startup you can make a shortcut to BigBox.exe and the computer will automatically start it when you turn it on. So I'm really feeling BigBox as an ideal front end. I'm really excited to see this to fruition with BigBox and Plex Media Player.
  15. Gotcha. So by changing the back key to backspace instead of escape, does that mean that you remapped BigBox's "back" button? Or did you end up needing to use a keyboard for backing out?
  16. So I just went premium, and I'll be setting up an HTPC in March. I've been doing some experimenting with my lower end laptop with BigBox and was able to experimentally get N64 and SNES setup (via retroarch), and also configured it to launch Plex Media Player(which works beautifully). So to solidify BigBox as my frontend, I need to know if it works with an IR Remote control for navigation. If so, is it natively setup or does it require additional configuration? I will be using a Harmony 890 remote for general navigation (with USB IR adapter for PC & RF extender), but be using adapters and native controllers for each emulator (N64 controllers for N64, GameCube for GameCube, etc). And as an extra question: Is there a way to make BigBox execute at windows startup? (I plan on running windows 10 on this box).
