  1. Cool Stuff! I like it a lot! I like the fade transition of the background, does it use the same cache? Also, nice touch adding the developer below the name, Can you add release year too? something like "1985 · Nintendo" I'd be cool if that could be fully customized but it's too early for demands anyway. :)

Ohh boy! this is amazing! the interface is tons much faster and also more enhanced, excellent combination between performance and style, the only thing is the image size I like the organization in the previous launchbox maintaining the name on the same file for all the elements, for image with differents sizes, like in the image, We really appreciate the @Jason Carr work

    I agree.

  2. That's because LaunchBox can download media from two different sources: The LaunchBox Games Database and Emumovies, if the images are not identical in size and dimensions, LaunchBox will download and save both version of a particular media (boxes, logos, etc).

To avoid this, make sure you just thick only one source for any particular media when you import or download media and metadata.

I personally prefer to download from Launchbox for most things other than screenshots. The ones in Emumovies use native resolution and are usually smaller in size and dimensions.

Interesting. I looked at the gamesdb and I didn't see where that info is stored there. I wonder how to contribute...

You can contribute to the database by going to gamesdb.launchbox-app.com, create an account there if you don't have one yet, search for a game and edit its data, then wait for the moderators to approve your changes (you need 1 approval from 3 different moderators for your changes to be merged into the database). You can also moderate other people contributions by going to gamesdb.launchbox-app.com/moderation. Just make sure you follow the rules.

Which theme were you thinking of?

I was thinking of the Gamecube 2 version. But it could also be done with the N64 and the SNES, you just need to remove the clear logo since video themes already have them. You are the expert, I leave it to you to figure out. :)

Seems like if launchbox can find any game with a certain name across all platforms and make a playlist out of that, surely it can find what other platforms a game is on and then let you launch it?

I guess @Jason Carr could relative easily add a "Other games from the Series" option in the play menu that creates a custom filter with all the games within the same series tag.

  6. Voted. My favorite of them would be built in mouse cursor hider and the rotating CD thing. They don't seem to be too hard to implement. :)

As for the Rocketlauncheresque features, I don't care much about them, I have a fully functional RL and I don't use most of its features.

Voted, so excitied about the pause screen stuff.

Yep, I can't wait until the day I can get rid of RocketLauncher. I have it working perfectly fine and know my way around it and even then I want it gone, so much time wasted with that program that I could have been playing games instead. I am absolutely afraid to update the thing (done it before it it got all messed up).

I'm in the same boat, One of the thing that makes me love Launchbox it's that it doesn't needs a lot of additional apps, it's (almost) all in one. I don't think RL is updating anymore, I haven't seen the popup window in RLUI for months now.

  7. I use custom command lines for games that I want to use a different core. Just right click the game you want to change and select edit, then in the emulation tab select Retroarch as the emulator and finally, put the appropriate command line to use the core you want, Here's an example of what I use for Turok 2:

Turok2mupen.thumb.png.cfc10f97baf0e013b1777d2eb9270a31.pngFor Mupen64plus copy and paste the following:

    -L "cores\mupen64plus_libretro.dll"

    For Parallel:

    -L "cores\parallel_n64_libretro.dll"

We're stuck to fiddling with settings for N64 games until someone makes an 100% accurate emulator. Don't hold your breath until then. :)

  8. I would definitely love that deleting a game would actually delete all related stuff of that title, not just images androms but also videos, music, manuals, etc. For MAME games, artwork, nvram, config files, etc. I'm currenlty cleaning up my collection and removing all files for any game takes me a lot of time.
