True. I had thought about it, and that was one of the main reasons that I thought I'd include that view. I'll probably get a couple of screenshots with that view up tonight or tomorrow.

@keltoigael -- Thanks! I actually have two views, the one you see and the one you suggested, haha. I think that higher resolution 16:9 videos look nice with the view you suggested, but 4:3 videos for older stuff just doesn't look as nice with that view.

Hi, I wanted to create a more modern looking theme that is meant to be used on your living room TV's. This theme is loosely based on the Xbox One interface. It's still a work in progress but is close to being completed. I'm open to suggestions but am pretty settled on what I have. Thanks!

@isilkin -- I appreciate the offer to help. It's looking pretty good right now, so hopefully I won't need any. I wanted to post that I was making this theme after reading this thread since I thought it could be of interest to you and others that are reading this. I'm not really looking to make this exactly like any specific Xbox interface. I'm just creating a theme that I like and hopefully others will too, which happens to have a modernish Xbox One interface kind of a look. I'm open to suggestions, and if I like them I'll probably use them. But I don't think I'll be making many changes. This is something that I'm making for myself but am happy to share.

Hey, Does anyone know if/how you can display what playlist you're using in a theme through metadata or some other way? I'm looking for a way to do it through text, like how the metadata can be displayed. Thanks.

I started working on a theme influenced by the Xbox One interface. The current theming engine is a bit limited for trying to make a theme like that, so that's why there aren't really any. Keep in mind this is still in it's early stages (I just started it yesterday). The bottom two green squares on the left will have icons and not remain blank, I just haven't got that far yet.

That sounds awesome! Don't worry I'm not going to keep harassing you about releasing this. I'm just excited about it.

Do you have any ideas as to when you might release this?

Holly View File This is a theme that I've been hacking away at for a while. It has 4 views -- A fullscreen video view with and without scanlines and a widescreen view with and without scanlines. I included all the playlist logos that I created. I was inspired by the Chicuelo theme. Just exact the folder "Holly" into your themes directory and install the font. I decided to update my Holly theme. I'm adding two new platform views and three new game views. I also intend to add a wall view and text games view, the same one's I use in my Alyssa theme. The first video shows the original theme. Every video and image after it is the updated project. Those are the darkened and blurred ones. They also typically have a system laying on top of the box art.
