  1. Thanks bro! Sweet! I kinda cheated with those posters, most blacklight posters are quite large and expensive so I was looking for smaller posters for a small room, there's this black light poster book with double sided posters so I bought it twice lol, it's about the same price as one big poster (16 euro here). If you are interested, they are classic posters although they don't seem to be 100% like the orginals where it's still a great collection: https://www.amazon.de/Ultraviolet-Classic-Blacklight-Posters-Aquarian/dp/0810979993
  2. Update of the cave: These photo's below are not recent anymore as I changed the pc and the ps3 died (yellow light of death) due to overheating in that damned narrow cabinet mid part, let that be a lesson though PS3 need sufficient cooling space. It might be fixable but I'm afraid it isn't. I'm a sucker for black light, the counter-culture and anything psychedelic for that matter. I might have overdone things a bit with those posters but it's my normal behavioral pattern. The black light is something I didn't expect to really work as it does, it's a led blacklight bar (it's not behind the tv btw those are other led strips), it gives far more and stronger light and is slightly more purple than the blueish classical blacklight, I love it, but that seems obvious I guess. I basically made this theme to fit a dimly lit blacklight/neon game room lol (sorry for the quality)
  3. I finally have a youtube account setup and now know how to record my screen as well, I will make a better video for the theme, this is what I filmed today to give an impression externally. Got some lightning issues going on lol
  4. Thanks bro, glad to hear you like it! I have made a few but mostly for CPS1 as a test, on games view 4 and 5 it's less of a problem when it's not transparent. The community has a lot of work to do lol, at least I hope it'll motivate people to upload high res transparent cabs, I will do a lot of them in the future but I also have other projects to work on.

  6. Very glad you like it bro! Enjoy! There is a little thing to note however, if you have multiple marquees for one game you might have a different background than the foreground marquee.
  7. Mr. RetroLust's Marquee Screen Filler Magic View File Mr. RetroLust's Marquee Screen Filler Magic Introduction: This is for those that like to fill the surrounding empty (black) space of their Marquee screens while maintaining the original Marquee's aspect ratio, what these replacement .xaml files do is duplicate the marquee with a blur effect on the background while the original marquee has a drop shadow, a technique often seen on TV when dealing with Vertical Video Syndrome material (a terrible disease btw, but that's another topic) Installation: Go to the theme folder of your choice: Launchbox\Themes\*name of the theme*\Views note: If you use the default Big Box theme first copy and paste the default theme folder and name it anything you like, it's important to do this as the default theme will always overwrite any changes you make in that folder. Backup the following files! In case you want to revert back to these Marquee files: GameMarqueeView.xaml and PlatformMarqueeView.xaml Extract the .xaml files in the zipfile to this folder, start BigBox and see the magic unfold Have fun. 9. I don't have a facebook account anymore, is there another way I can vote for this contest?
  10. I'm a bit confused while working on the platform part of a new theme, what I want to do is use a 'Device' image and a 'Fan art' image side by side, for some reason when I use 'Binding Path=ActivePlatform.BackgroundImagePath' (that seems to be the path to the Fanart folder?) I get images used in the Device folder as Background/Fanart images as well (randomized), causing duplicate images which doesn't look nice. The weather is very hot atm so it might be I'm missing something, maybe in the way my big box settings/theme settings are set? Any help would be much appreciated. EDIT: Never mind lol I feel really dumb now, I had "Use platform device as background" checked in big box settings
  11. Fix translation issues confirmed! Thanks man
  12. Thanks so much @Pr0FiT I'm very glad I found this plugin it's working great! I think a lot of people would like this as well but I can't find it in the download/plugins section, hope you share this over there as well.
  13. I've added a view with the cab/back/flyer to the right as well, looks better, more soon @Dan Lol i'm glad you got the joke I have done some research before buying a marquee monitor, wider than 21:9 you will end up in the lcd bar display section which will cost you a whole lot more, needs custom resolutions and tweaking and will take away height which in itself is very nice to have when viewing upright box fronts in Bigbox but also when you come across arcade marquees that have double the height than the more regular marquees, almost all marquees are different in size so you will get black space either way, the question you'll have to ask yourself is on which monitor would you be willing to accept black space, I rather have small black space on the top and bottom parts with the ability to display those almost 21:9 format marquees in height than bigger blocks on the side with lower height and 4 times more expensive shady chinese custom res displays. The added height is a bonus to me as is the super low price, the brightness and black levels of this monitor are even much better than my much more expensive 49 inch 4k tv, it's a great monitor to me. I'm not sure yet but it might be possible to code the marquee xaml files to display a custom 21:9 platform marquee image with on top in the middle or side a placeholder for the box fronts or even 3D boxes, i'll be diving into this after or just before I finish the theme.
  14. Try Golden Axe (Arcade) should get you completion within 30 minutes, good times!
  15. 1. I would like that as well, I don't use LB.Next to play but to organize, in Big Box it would be very nice to have when you complete a game to quickly mark it as such. 2. I don't know if it is possible but I would like to be able to see the resolution of an image in Launchbox.Next within the edit window of a game where you can browse the images, in order to compare images when organizing/cleaning up. 3. Zooming in and out of images within the full screen image viewer of Big Box.
  16. The LG25UM58-p is 25 inch. Since Marquees all have different aspect ratio's/dimensions you will never find a monitor that displays them all full size, in my opinion this is a much better solution then those 600 dollar lcd bars which have a lot of length but not so much height, to me this is the perfect middle ground. You have a few choices to reconsider: 1. What you can do is change the codes to stretch the marquee images within the marquee .xaml file(s) the way you like, be it stretch horizontal and vertical with the side effect of messing up the original aspect ratio. 2. Cropping the images in the xaml files to get full screen, side effect: missing parts of the sides. 3. Get used to it, turning of the lights help every black parts of a screen melt with the dark. The black level is very good on this monitor, you'll notice soon enough. I choose this option as I like the right aspect ratio and never have minded black bars, same discussion with watching movies, some like aspect ratio some don't care as long as it fills their screen. 4 (Optional). Customize all marquees to 21:9 aspect ratio (I have made a lot of Neo Geo marquees for this aspect ratio. 5. Paint it black (your walls)
  17. @Jason Carr I see a small translation bug, 'spacing' is in Dutch. If you fixed this one and the right click menu in the left panel it'll be 100% fixed, at least I don't know how it works in the program language, hope you don't have to fix it all for every language Keep up the amazing work, .Next rules!!!
