  1. Try Golden Axe (Arcade) should get you completion within 30 minutes, good times!
  2. 1. I would like that as well, I don't use LB.Next to play but to organize, in Big Box it would be very nice to have when you complete a game to quickly mark it as such. 2. I don't know if it is possible but I would like to be able to see the resolution of an image in Launchbox.Next within the edit window of a game where you can browse the images, in order to compare images when organizing/cleaning up. 3. Zooming in and out of images within the full screen image viewer of Big Box.
  3. The LG25UM58-p is 25 inch. Since Marquees all have different aspect ratio's/dimensions you will never find a monitor that displays them all full size, in my opinion this is a much better solution then those 600 dollar lcd bars which have a lot of length but not so much height, to me this is the perfect middle ground. You have a few choices to reconsider: 1. What you can do is change the codes to stretch the marquee images within the marquee .xaml file(s) the way you like, be it stretch horizontal and vertical with the side effect of messing up the original aspect ratio. 2. Cropping the images in the xaml files to get full screen, side effect: missing parts of the sides. 3. Get used to it, turning of the lights help every black parts of a screen melt with the dark. The black level is very good on this monitor, you'll notice soon enough. I choose this option as I like the right aspect ratio and never have minded black bars, same discussion with watching movies, some like aspect ratio some don't care as long as it fills their screen. 4 (Optional). Customize all marquees to 21:9 aspect ratio (I have made a lot of Neo Geo marquees for this aspect ratio. 5. Paint it black (your walls)
  4. @Jason Carr I see a small translation bug, 'spacing' is in Dutch. If you fixed this one and the right click menu in the left panel it'll be 100% fixed, at least I don't know how it works in the program language, hope you don't have to fix it all for every language Keep up the amazing work, .Next rules!!!
  5. Thanks bro, that really means a lot to me, I couldn't have realized the concept I had in mind without your amazing work!
  6. Yeah, i've even searched for flipped cabinets in high res but can't find them all in high res facing to the right. Simply mirroring images doesn't work well as the text on the art and marquees are mirrored as well. Therefor I made two different views where one has a outlined cabinet to the right. After a while you'll get used to it though as most cabinet images are still low res with a black background, a lot of work to do for the community lol I'll be working on finding and cutting out high res cabs after I finished my other projects but it'll be a slow proces that can take years perhaps so I hope others will join in, by using image priorities you can switch bad cab images with box backs or flyer backs or whatever other image that you'd like in that placeholder, it'll make sense when you'll be able to test it for yourself, I hope to be finished with the theme within a month, hopefully sooner.
  7. Coming soon: Futurestate Neon Deluxe, a theme build on the Futurestate theme framework from @Hexxxer (screenshots may not reflect the end product like Samantha Fox Strip Poker for Commodore 64) You can zoom in closely on 1080p screens as the screenshots are in 4K. @Dan As promised I would tag you
  8. I've seen quite a few video screen captures here and I'd like to make some as well for future projects, I see a whole lot of options on the internet, a bit too many to be fair so I'm curious in your experiences as i'm not to keen on trying out a lot of different software to keep the system as clean as possible. What I'm looking for is 100% freeware that can record in 60fps in at least 1080p but 2160p would be sweet. Several export formats and options would be nice as well. Thanks for any help/tips
  9. This might be unrelated but I stumbled upon something in my setup while working on a theme, I minimalized codes within the theme testing every time how long it took for the wheel to switch to next games (I have no problems with controllers or whatever btw) I noticed some huge speed differences in my huge arcade list (7000 games with full downloaded media from database, a list I'm slowly cleaning up) after a while when I messed with image priorities, seems I had a bit too many alternative images category checked for one image category for a while (far more than default settings so it's my own doing just to be clear) I noticed my loud HDD going crazy searching through all those folders in search for an image to show, maybe this can be useful as well to remember when helping out people with speed issues in case it was overlooked.
  10. https://translate.google.com/ < Muy Bien!
  11. You did it again! Fixed! Thanks man
  12. Ps Are all transitions set to 'none' in bigbox settings and background images all unchecked within Launchbox settings/image priorities? Might free up a lot of loading time and make room for the videos to be loaded.
  13. Those are my thoughts exactly, thats why I wonder if they would work in launchbox(.next) if not it sure could be thats the core of the problem, don't know if a (real) high speed USB3 stick would be the solution in this case, I thought I bought a high speed 128gb USB3 stick once, it was quite cheap and it was from Sandisk but it's still a slow turtle compared to usb3 external hdd's.
  14. Is the usb stick fast enough? I mean could it be it's stuggling to get them to load perhaps and give it some time? Have you checked if the videos load from the usb drive in launchbox (or launchbox.next) itself to see if they work/are linked correctly? If they dont work in there it could be you need to set the right video directory in launchbox(.next).
  15. I havent read this thread completely so if I give some advice that has been mentioned before i'm sorry, but what worked for me is disabling all transitions (set to none within big box) and in image priorities within launchbox unchecking all backgrounds, I just noticed while working on a theme when I remove the line of code responsible for the background placeholder it speeds up greatly, seems the loading time for backgrounds is taking longer than other placeholders, I do still have a platform background image for each list but it seems to cause slowdown as well even though it is the same image (not sure atm if I can disable this image as well somewhere in the settings so perhaps there wont be any need for removing the code manually)
  16. Thanks man The native res of the marquee monitor is 2560x1080, it's an ultra wide screen from LG. I have set the monitors on extended (My windows is in dutch but I'm sure its the same, only have clone options as another choice) the monitor screen is placed above the 49 inch UHD (4k) TV in physical form and in the screen settings, have tried putting the monitor layout side by side in settings, does not make a difference. Something else I noticed is when trying to switch the screens with button combo windows+shift+direction within bigbox it does switch the primary screen to the marquee monitor (aspect ratio is kept so I see part of the desktop wallpaper on the right side) and depending on dpi settings (system & system extended or application & turned off dpi) I can then get the marquee window to the 4k screen in the 'working combination (not preferred)' but with the 'not working combination' I can't switch the primary on the second monitor back to the main (4k) screen, it gets stuck on the marquee screen, I then have to change the screen order in bigbox options to get primary back to the 4k screen. It's as if the marquee window screen doesn't want to stick/open to the marquee monitor and gets stuck on the primary screen behind the primary big box window, as if somewhere within bigbox, directx?, net framework or driver does not compute. I'm out of ideas by now, don't feel like rolling back nvidia driver to a year ago, i'm a bit afraid of other problems on the emulation end or other system errors and not sure if it would work or not thus not willing to take the risk of messing around on this fresh system.
  17. Ps the 4k screen is indeed UHD 3840x2160 (wish it was red! xD)
  18. Thanks for thinking along much appreciated! I tested your theory of total aspect ratio by switching the 2560x1080 monitor to 1920x1080, it behaves in the same way: no activity in Bigbox on the monitor. I do think that it's all valid edid hand shaked as windows itself does work on the 4k and 2560 monitor, if it works in windows it should in Bigbox right? The DVI-HDMI cable is a DVI-D Dual Link, the gpu connector is the same. Specs for gtx 1050 gpu on: "Max Resolution: 7680x4320@60Hz (Digital)". Situation: 4K monitor is set to 200% dpi scaling, 2560 set to 100%, switching these does not change things. Combination working (not preferred): Bigbox shortcut Compatibility/DPI set to System or System (extended) gives bigbox 4k screen lower res (seems to be 1080 res) and marquees work on 2560 monitor. Combination not working: Bigbox shortcut Compatibility/DPI set to Application or turned off Dpi settings, it does give 4k resolution in bigbox but the marquee screen only shows the windows desktop, marquee window while set to screen 2 in settings is displayed beneath bigbox window on same primary monitor (4k) able to see while using alt-tab.
  19. I'm having the same problem as well with my new pc, at first everything seemed fine, until I took a close look using the image viewer within big box, it wasn't 4K it was displaying but more like 1080p, I compared the high res images I was viewing with the originals. When I switch different dpi settings on the shortcut to bigbox I can get the primary monitor to display 4k but then the marquee screen will not work, going through marquee screen settings within bigbox does not show anything happening on the marquee monitor. When switched to one of the system dpi settings the monitor does work but primary is lower res again. Before this I also noted the monitor numbers where switched in bigbox, had primary on 2 and marquee on 1, I fixed this by turning the marquee screen off in nvidia settings and bigbox saw it as number 1 again, after that the marquee screen can be set on number 2 again. The marquee screen is 2560x1080 connected to dvi to hdmi cable. The 4k tv is connected to hdmi, both are connected to a nvidia gtx 1050 @Jason Carr Do you have any knowledge what could cause this problem? It's not something of utmost urgency but would like to see images in 4k glory in the future in bigbox working together with a marquee screen.
  20. Let us know if it helped, so others with the same problem can be helped. Might also try a lower transition duration if that setting is available (not sure as i'm not in big box atm). Or switch video renderer between wmp or vlc.
