  1. @Jason Carr Thanks Jason, I think you're probably right, it might be a permissions issue, I definitively need to look into that, again thank you sir.
  2. It's cool, I mentioned this as well. Actually, even in previous releases.
  3. LOL, not angry at all. Since this is something to do with beta, should it not be posted here? New Feature: The Clean Up Media process has a new option to scan images for rough matches. This new option can make the clean up media process take an extremely long time, but will save you loads of disk space in your collection, especially if you download media both from the LaunchBox Games Database and from EmuMovies. The process identifies duplicate images in your collection even if they are different sizes, faded, etc. The largest duplicate image is kept, and the rest are listed for deletion. But surely not angry at all, hope it doesn't appear that way. Just reporting. Screenshots are from 2nd attempt
  4. @Jason Carr: Hey Jason, I just tried running the Clean Up Media process using the new option to scan images for rough matches. After a few hours of scanning (large collection), I noticed the MOVE option. So I gave it a whirl assuming it would allow me to move the files to a directory rather than deleting them, it prompted me for a directory and I selected one I created for it, then it gave me a message that only 2 files were moved, it couldn't move the rest as they were in use. BTW, my most of my media is NOT stored in the default locations. I checked the folder that was used for the "move to", and nothing was there, not even the 2 files. I am scanning again, thought I would let ya know.
  5. Is it possible, or is it possibly a future feature that we can import an older theme in the app to modify it?
  6. Looks like we are in for some cool updated to LB. I wish it were possible to do Clean Media on a single platform, multiple platforms or everything, not just everything, ya know? I am excited about the video snap feature and can't wait to see what it will and will not do....thanks Jason
  7. I just did it the hard way, thank you to those that replied
  8. What about something like these: I have most of the systems done, but still a work in progress You can download them here:
  9. I was sure hoping the fading box cover was gonna make it in this release from your to-do list. Maybe next release....?. Thanks @viking for the awesome changes
  10. Yes Sir, there are actually 4 ddl files in the extracted folder, I also tried to move them out of the extracted folder into the plugin folder without any success. This is what it is throwing, if it helps any: Unable to load one or more of the requested types. Retrieve the LoaderExceptions property for more information. App: LaunchBox Version: 10.15-beta-10 Type: System.Reflection.ReflectionTypeLoadException Site: System.RuntimeType[] GetTypes(System.Reflection.RuntimeModule) Source: mscorlib at System.Reflection.RuntimeModule.GetTypes(RuntimeModule module) at System.Reflection.Assembly.GetTypes() at Unbroken.LaunchBox.Windows.Root.LoadPlugins[T](IEnumerable`1 assemblies, ConcurrentDictionary`2& plugins) at (String , Form ) at Unbroken.LaunchBox.Windows.Root.LoadPlugins(String folderPath, Form splashForm) at Unbroken.LaunchBox.Windows.Desktop.App..ctor() at (String[] ) at Unbroken.LaunchBox.Windows.Desktop.Program.Main(String[] args) Recent Log: 7:46:01 PM Exception
  11. @neil9000 I dropped the SappPasRoot into the plugin folder and when you try to open LB/BB it just crashes LB. I sent a msg to Axenn to see if they can tell me if it still works with the current version of LB
  12. Thx, I will see if it still works, thanks to both of you.
  13. Thx, I just did a quick look through the Third-party Apps and Plugins section and wasn't able to find anything like that. Maybe it was removed?
  14. Is there an easier way to move/change the media data path? For example, lets say my entire LB setup is currently on HDD "D", I want to move all my images, videos, manuals, music, etc., to drive "E" and leave LB on "D". That way I can share the data with multiple pcs without having to waste so much HDD space with multiple copies of the same data. I know it can be done by editing each platform one at a time, as that is what I have been doing, but man that is a lot of work. Isn't there some way to edit files in Notepad++ or something to make it easier? I looked at the "Platforms.xml" and other files in the Data directory, even after making changes to some of the platforms, and can't find anything different.... Any help would be much appreciated...
  15. I am still working on the update, I am in the process of adding another few hundred more games first, mostly PS3, but others as well. Then I can finish with the update with additional clear logos and playlists. Gonna take a bit longer, but is coming soon.
  16. Yes they are autopopulate, but I am going to be doing a new update in the next day or so. The path to my games are not the default (using NAS for my rom storage), I will change the instructions to to show that, but I am assuming it is the path issue. Look at that and see if that is it, I will as well. Thanks for the comment. I will get back after I look into and update.
  17. If possible, I agree with Pixelpiper, other frontends like ARC for android are using the .scummvm format as well since the LB android is dead in the water for now
  18. I would love to see the box art disappear after a short period like other themes. I believe this has been asked for by others as well. I noticed there hasn't been any updates in over 3 months??? I bet Viking will blow us away when there is another one!?
  19. Thanks Jason, but if it was working in the past, and I haven't changed DirectX rights (never fool with that kinda stuff, unless something like this is brought to my attention), what should I check? Where do I need to go to check? I mean all was good, then not.
  20. I will most definitely have to look into this, thank you for the reply
  21. I don't have LB installed on "C" drive, so it generally wouldn't ask for admin rights, and with current win10, if you grant admin rights, it really messes with with NAS issues if the roms are stored on a NAS I do ignore it, just wanted to report it as a problem
  22. So nothing has changed on my system, other than normal windows updates, how is it fixed?
  23. Okay, done. I know you're busy with the MAME high scores thing right now, understandably. Hope this request doesn't find it's way to the wayside like when you minimize LB and and re-open it from from the taskbar, the sound is still going from post back a couple versions ago. Just out of curiosity, is anyone getting this error when they update to new beta version. been happening to me most about every time since v10. It seems to install fine, get the error, close app, then re-open and all is good.?
  24. Ah, ty Neil. I didnt know this was a MAME thing, didn't know it mattered about the emulator used
  25. So how will this affect folks that use RetroArch or does it, if I might ask?
