  1. @Jason CarrThx for the reply Jason. Yeah, I didn't think there would be much that could be done from my web design experience and setting up forums. I went ahead and created a 2nd post and will upload most of the files there and then delete from the original. BTW, I did just try it again.... Thank you Sir.
  2. MASSIVE - 100's of Full Size Videos focusing on Genre/Categories (Screenshots and Links) View File These are full sized genre/category based videos I did to work with my Clear Logos & Playlists sets (link below). You can download the individual videos files or the entire set using the 14 files at the bottom. They work with most of the themes I have tried. The screenshots messed up on the original post so I created this one to replace it. I had made a few changes to some of the videos that I was saving for an update, but instead uploaded everything here. Screenshot 01-05 is using the Unified Redux theme Screenshot 06-10 is using the Retro Console theme Screenshot 11-15 is using the Default theme in BigBox Here is a sample video. (using the Unified Redux to show full size) The videos are nothing fancy and there are lots of them (almost 500). The videos specs are: 1920x1080 Around 30-40 seconds (looping) Title bounces in at 15 seconds These are simple drag-n-drop into your "...\Launchbox\Videos\Playlists\" folder or "...\Launchbox\THEME YOU ARE USING\Videos\Playlists\" folder. To get the complete set: Download the 14 files below Put all the files into the same folder Extract Matching Clear Logos (includes auto-generated playlists) 1000's of Clear Logos focusing on Genres/Categories (all the videos here are using these Clear Logos) My other video sets: NEW - Extreme Gamer Collection (center based, works with COLORFUL and most other themes) Ultimate Set with Playlist Beginner Setup Guide (videos geared to left side wheels, smaller in size and easier to download) (the EASY way to get you started with genres/categories setup on your rig(s). 4. I was trying to replace the screenshots on one of my posts (I actually noticed them missing on the post). When I upload them, they appear to be uploading right, but when I click on Save and the new post screen is loaded, there are no screen shots??? I have tried jpg, png. Never had any problems before. Also tried a couple browsers with same results Post I'm having problems with:

ONLY change made was to fix the following corrupted files: Complete Ultimate Platforms Video Set.zip Complete Ultimate Platform Categories Video Set.zip Complete_Ultimate_Playlists_Video_Set.zip Download them below. Someone asked me to post this to help them get their playlists set up after seeing one of my rigs. I thought it might be helpful to others as well. If you have ever wanted to get into using the Playlists features in BigBox the easy way, this just might be what you've been looking for. A huge thanks goes out to Viking for giving me permission to use some of his videos to incorporate into these sets. He does absolutely amazing work! Thank you Sir! Here is a short video showing what you will (sorta) have when you are finished (we all have different games): The videos used are a new design and are different from my other sets. There are links to those below. I am using the Retro Console Theme v2 for this guide, but the principles are the same and should work with most of the current themes, but the videos snaps used in the guide are more geared towards those themes that offer left sided Vertical Wheels. If you follow the entire guide, after your finished you will be a Pro with how Launchbox uses the playlists, videos, clear logos, etc.. If you are new to Launchbox or how the playlists, images, videos, etc., work in Launchbox, I strongly suggest that you start out using the Retro Console Theme (or v2) to set everything up. This will give you what is in the sample video. After you have it all set up, and you know everything is working, you can experiment with different themes, video sets, playlists, etc.. Here is how to do it: After you have Launchbox installed and all your games imported, make a backup or a copy of your entire Launchbox folder so you can always go back if you make a mistake. The path should be something like "c:\program files\launchbox", depending on where you installed Launchbox. First thing to do is to download one of the Retro Console Themes, they can be found here: Retro Console Theme or Retro Console Theme V2 After you have the theme installed and working as you like, change your views in the theme to the following: Default Startup View: Platform Categories Games List View: Vertical Wheel 2 Platforms List View: Platform Wheel 4 - (you can always change these later to your personal tastes) - To get to these settings: <ESC> on your keyboard, go down to Options, then Views, then press <ENTER> Next you need to download the following 4 files: Complete Clear Logo Set.zip - (visit the post to download them individually or by set) Complete Ultimate Platforms Video (at the bottom of the Download this file list) Complete Ultimate Platform Categories Video (at the bottom of the Download this file list) Complete Ultimate Playlists Video Set.zip.mp4 (at the bottom of the Download this file list) (All the files can be downloaded individually if you prefer using the Download this file button) After all the files have been downloaded, the first thing you need to do is rename the three downloaded VIDEO files (you need to remove the .mp4 from the end of them). So, "Complete Ultimate Playlists Video Set.zip.mp4" will be renamed to "Complete Ultimate Playlists Video Set.zip" and so on. (I had to do this to allow me to upload the complete set as a zip file. This section of the forums doesn't allow .zip extensions). Make sure to do the 3 of them before trying to extract them. After they have been renamed, extract all 4 files. When you extract the Complete Clear Logo Set.zip, it will be the close to 500 individual sets of zipped files that are .7z and will have to be extracted again. (I had to do this for upload/download size because the forum didn't accept the .7z format) Now using the Readme.txt in the extracted folders, drop-n-drag everything where it needs to go. Once you get everything copied into its proper place, open BigBox and go into the settings and "Refresh All Images" -To get to these settings: <ESC> on your keyboard, go down to Options, then Image Cache, then press <ENTER>, then down to "Refresh All Images" and press <ENTER> Note: BigBox will be a bit slow at first as all the new images need to load and cached, this is normal, after everything is cached up it'll be good-to-go. Don't forget to configure your controller so you can easily switch between Platforms, Platform Categories, Playlists, etc.. This is a super simple way to get started with using playlists and genres/categories. I hope this has been helpful. Now you can fully customize as your heart desires with different themes, modifying your genre/category data of your games, playlists, videos, etc.. If you add new games or have games that are not appearing in your new playlist setup, go to the game in Launchbox, right-click on it and select "edit" and change the genre(s) to match the categories you would like it to appear in from the drop-down. Launchbox should update all your playlists for you! If you add any new genre(s) and create new additional auto-generated playlists, each one will need a new clear logo (for each platform used) and a video snap created for it in order to match this set. I will try to upload all my templates later so you can make your own clear logos and videos after I get everything done. I will try to do requests, but try to make them for genres that have at least 5-10 games through out all the platforms. If you have modified or customized playlists, you can add these, but be careful not to over-write your current ones. Links to my clear logo packs and other videos sets - you can download them individually or by collection: Clear Logo Sets NEW - Extreme Gamer Collection Videos (works with COLORFUL and most other themes) Massive #1 Videos - full screen videos Massive #2 Videos - made for Retro Console Theme V2 using matching fonts, etc. TV Commercial Platform Videos Download Complete Sets Here: Complete Ultimate Platform Categories Video Set.zip Complete Ultimate Platforms Video Set.zip Complete_Ultimate_Playlists_Video_Set [Part 1}.zip Complete_Ultimate_Playlists_Video_Set [Part 2}.zip Please leave questions, suggestions, comments & reviews below and I will get back as soon as I can.

  7. Bummer, I been making copies of my video and renaming it to match, but that's a bit of a pain. Maybe it will be added in the future... Thanks again
  8. Thank you sir, that was what I was looking for, is there a way to do the video? Also, thanks @neil9000 for replying as well
  9. Wasn't there a new feature a while back to allow you to add some default artwork for games that was missing data, like a generic poster, background, video etc.? I can't find anything any where.
  10. Maybe you might wanna post this info in the beta thread so Jason might have a suggestion or thought about it
  11. @vikingYou do incredible work. Would like to ask if the Atari ST and the Mattel Intellivision is a possibility for a platform videos?

These are redesigned from my other videos that match my Clear Logos packs. Cemfundog and I collaborated on this and using his design I created these to go with his animated Retro Console Theme v2. They may or may not work with other themes, I haven't checked. These are also much smaller in file size. Since they are individual files, you can download just the ones you want. There are a some samples videos below. 14. Gotcha, thank you Sir
  15. I've browsed around the forums and couldn't find anything, is there a plugin or script that will allow playlists to show only videos related to them? For example, if I have a genre for Pac-man I have many pac-man playlists across the multiple platforms. I am wanting it to show only videos using those playlists. So if I am scrolling through BB in the arcade platform and stop on Pac-man, it will show a random Pac-man video instead of just any random video period....
  16. @Jason Carr Hey Jason, this doesn't pertain to the current beta itself but is something I have noticed in LB that is maybe something you can easily fix in the next beta?? 1. Open LB and click on any game that has music or video that has audio with it. 2. Minimize LB, notice the audio mutes. 3. Go down to the Windows taskbar and click on LB to re-open it. The audio resumes as it should. Say you clicked on LB by mistake, so you click it again in the taskbar to minimize it back LB does minimize back, but the audio doesn't mute. You have to open it again and click on the minimize button on LB to get it to mute the audio... Maybe it an easy fix? I hope this makes sense...lol
  17. I am rolling dude, that is why I didn't find them....psss, mine looks identical...hahaha
  18. LOL, it's your theme, I ain't stepping on your toes dude!! I downloaded them again today and didn't see it, I better check for it again (and I did create one already when I didn't see it). I am sure about wore out with making them/fixing genres. 2 more systems and I am taking a break after I do a version 2 upload. I just downloaded again, only 2 that start with "w" are Windows and WoW Action, is it named something else?
  19. @cemfundog I noticed there isn't a WonderSwan Color in the platform clear logos. Can we have one in your next update perty please?
  20. Ahhhh, thanks for the screenshot. The logo is fine, the bomberman part is actually a random video snap the theme is using. since there is no video snap for the Pac-man category...If you look at the screen shots above the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 6th are the only ones using non-random videos. Again, thanks for clarifying that with the screen shot
  21. I am needing to know what platform(s) / system(s) and what clear logo is wrong. Is it in the NES games or Arcade (mame) games? Also need the name of a the game(s) specifically do I can see what you are seeing? If you can give me a screenshot that would sure be a big help. If it is something in the playlists themselves, I am sure there are tons of mistakes in them as most of the data was scraped from the net and I have close to 20,000 games and can't go through each game, ya know? I do try to update many of them as I go through the systems.
  22. Version 4.1.2

    8,875 downloads

This is a MASSIVE collection of clear logos focusing on Genres (categories) and with some Collections included. There is a download pack for 40 different platforms. There are 1000'S of clear logos in this collection. They work fine with all the available themes that I've tried. There is a separate download pack for each platform. Each downloaded zip contains 2 folders (one is a folder with the clear logos which is pretty much a drag-n-drop thing, the 2nd is a folder with matching playlists (auto-generated) if you wish to try them, (keep in mind the playlists are far from perfect and still being updated), along with Readme.txt that explains where everything goes. I was inspired to do this when I switched to the Retro Console Theme by cemfundog and some logo work done by scooter1974. It got me started when I wanted to create a couple for myself and well, that couple just keeps growing now.... Thanks to both of you for your help. Per request, I added the complete set in a single file called for easier downloading. It contains everything that's in all the individual downloads. (it is the very last file in the downloads or use the link) Complete Collection v4.1.1.zip (at the bottom of the list) You can get the matching videos here: Extreme Gamer Collection (works with COLORFUL and most other themes) Ultimate Playlist Beginner Setup Guide & Starter Collection (with New Video Sets, smaller in size and easier to download) Massive #1 - 100's of Videos that match these clear logos - The screenshots above are NOT using the matching videos Massive #2 - Another set of almost 500 genre/category Videos that match these - Cemfundog and I collaborated on this and using his design I created these to go with his animated Retro Console Theme v2. TV Commercial Platform Videos Download Retro Console Theme: Retro Console Theme or Retro Console Theme V2 These logos really pop if you set BigBox to use Platform Categories as the view. Of course, the better your genres are defined, the better your playlists (and logos) will work for you. That's why I included my matching playlists to help you get started if you have been putting it off like I did for years..haha. Make copies or backups of your files (the one mentioned in the Readme) then you can try these and if you don't like them, you can delete them and easily put things back like you had them. As it stands right now, there are close to 20,000 files in the collection. If you are working with limited storage space, you can always download the systems you need, pick out the ones you want to use and delete the rest. Each system download has the same content concerning the genres/categories, meaning if one system has a clear logo for "Baseball", every system will have a clear logo for "Baseball. I done it this way so if you add a new game and you choose a new genre for it that is new to your setup, and the genre files have already been installed from here, they will be picked up automatically for you. (If I create a new category, genre or collection, it will be added it to all the systems.) Concerning the Play Mode images: I have tried to make all the images that pertain to the # of players, local, online, single player, multiple player, local co-op, split screen, 2-Player Alternating, etc., specific to each individual platform. Like the Xbox 360 images have 360 controllers on them or the Wii U images have a Wii U on one side and the Wii U Controller on the other. Just a added touch. All systems will play mode images for up to 8 players (starting in version 2) in both Simultaneous and Alternating, so I tried to fit many different setups, as we all have have different likes. My objective it to finish through my library with the genres I have, then I will either begin all over again maybe focusing on Collections I have or try to make matching video snaps, not sure yet. I will try to accept requests now for other genres/categories....I ask you be patient as I am only one old feller and I'll do the best I can. PLEASE keep requests to things that will have at least 5-10 games that will pertain to it. I am trying to focus it around single word genre/categories best I can. This is a work-in-progress and on-going I'm sure. The better the metadata, the better searches and organization it makes. Here are the systems included so far: (Updated to v4 on 06-15-20) 3DO Interactive Arcade Atari 2600 Atari 5200 Atari 7800 Atari Jaguar Atari Lynx Atari ST ColecoVision Commodore Amiga Mattel Intellivision Microsoft Xbox Microsoft Xbox 360 NEC TurboGrafx-16 Nintendo 3DS Nintendo 64 Nintendo DS Nintendo Entertainment System Nintendo Game Boy Advance Nintendo Game Boy Color Nintendo GameCube Nintendo Switch Nintendo Wii Nintendo Wii U ScummVM Sega 32X Sega CD Sega Dreamcast Sega Game Gear Sega Genesis Sega Saturn Sharp X68000 - NEW SNK Neo Geo AES SNK Neo Geo Pocket Color Sony Playstation Sony Playstation 2 Sony Playstation 3 Sony Playstation 4 (no playlists) - New emulators are starting to show progress now so just preparing Sony PSP Super Nintendo Entertainment System Windows Wonderswan Color Feel free to leave comments, questions and suggestions and I will get back as soon as I can.
