Who kicked up anything? maybe in your head you see it as me "kicking up a stink" but that's not what happened at all. I have explained why I mentioned it and that's that. anything else is your assumption. I am a paying customer who is about to extend his year with your company and right now i'm being surrounded by moderators who are trying to give me a hard time just because I updated my post saying that it's still not fixed. This is far from how one runs a company. get off my back, please. I've been nothing but civil as you both trying telling me off for posting. This is absurd. I'm not demanding any update, i'm not kicking up any fuss, i'm simply stating that it hasn't been fixed. do you see me demand anything? no you don't. because I'm being reasonable. I'm really not happy with the way this company is treating me right now. You're making assumptions about my intentions and trying to "tell me off" as if i'm some sort of child. all of this could have been avoided if you just said "it's being worked on" to keep your customer knowing that it's being worked on.

You have to realize that I only have 3 points to my name, mate. I'm not really a full time member. I've payed for this awesome product, there's an issue with it and I'm trying to stay on top of it. that's pretty much it. I appreciate the beta thread link though.

I'm not sure that you're sure. I truly appreciate the telling off you just tried to give me, but I still felt more comfortable bringing this up again considering i'm not sure on how to get news on what is being fixed or not.

I think the playlist feature is awesome, but it's not implemented very well. when you right click on a game and try to add it to a playlist, it doesn't show you the playlists it's already in. also, if you add it to a playlist it takes out out of the playlist menu to tell you you've added it to that playlist. This is really not very user friendly. when you have thousands of games, it's hard to remember which games you've placed in what playlist. it would be much easier if the playlist menu just contained a menu with all your playlists and tick boxes next to them. then you can simply look at a game to see what playlists it's already in. This would be vastly more user friendly and extremely useful in big box mode too. Also you wouldn't have to go to the list to check what games you have on there or to delete a game from a list. you could simply do it from the game. I'm sure there are many more practical reasons too. I think that by thinking about the code, you'd have to add arrays to the games so they contain the playlists but the method that it has atm is really annoying and time consuming as well as prone to mistakes from the user.

This still hasn't been fixed as of the latest version by the way.

Nah, still doing the same thing EDIT:- Well I deleted the whole thing and imported all the roms again from scratch and that apparently fixed it if anyone else has this problem then I guess you have to delete the whole thing and start again.

The controller appears to work perfectly until I go to the menu in the pic and I click ion the drop down menus. It works fine if I try to put the date in, it's just on the drop down menus within the filters. I've tried searching for this but couldn't find anything. Any ideas? (I just realized that I can't even "apply" nether even if I do the selections with my keyboard, I can do them on the keyboard but "apply" is grayed out) The specific problem is that the blue selection box doesn't move when i move the dpad or stick. note the grayed out "apply" button, I also can't move the cursor on to it to click it.

Well, i'll try to replicate the problem without using launchbox to see what the culprit really is. if it happens outside launchbox then i guess it's retroarch's problem. i'm in their discord so i can see if they can help.

Well it looks like there is a problem with it. try opening other games with it and see if you get the same problem. it is odd that two people have the exact same problem, right?

Look. I sorted the controls for street fighter 2, right? Now I open killer instinct and look at this. It doesn't stop there. the actual ui buttons are all messed up. it's like a guessing game whenever i wanna play a new game to see what button is "select"

I'm aware of how to do it. It's just not working. The buttons don't simply reset, they get messed up just like the OP said.

I'm having the exact same problem. don't know if you've fixed it or not. It looks to me like when I configure a rom in mame it only works for that rom, then when I play another rom, the buttons are all messed up.

No that works, man. I just want to make sure that resetting the emulator doesn't happen by accident. I'll try it out. One last thing. Does holding start for two seconds only work if the other buttons are held down too? EDIT- just tested it and it works pretty good. you're a life saver. I could never play my other emulators besides retroarch because I always play away from the pc, so you really made it much better. thanks. The way this works as tested is that you have to press all the buttons and hold start. if you hold start and press all the buttons after two seconds, it doesn't work. which lessens the chance of an accident happening. Some game might require you to hold start or something. you never know. Anyway. thanks a lot, dude. you're awesome. my dc emu and other more recent nintendo emus will get this too.

Is there a way to make it so pcsx2 closes when i hold back, start, l1 and r1 for 2 seconds?

No matter what I do, Genesis won't scrape as genesis. The games are missing covers or have the wrong ones. here is a pic showing the issue. As you can see, the info is missing and the games have random cases. I have tried downloading metadata again for the platform but it didn't help. It just downloaded the same stuff again and again it missed the platform info.

Pretty much what the title says. The platform videos stop working after playing some games and the videos turn into platform pictures. I have to restart bigbox to fix it.

Having the same problem but only with genesis for some reason. As you can see by the pic, some of the games aren't done properly because of this problem. You fid Aero the acrobat having a gb box and the Aladin game has a nes box. This happens to a lot of games and I've scraped again with no difference. No idea how to solve this..

I just purchased big box recently and I'm also upset about the fact that some functionality is missing from bigbox. The completed game is also something I noticed but the game in progress check is a good idea. I've been using playlists to do that though. Just pop any game i'm currently playing in a list called "playing" or something and that way you'll have all your games there. But the inability to create custom fields in launchbox and tag them or change them is what really bothers me. it almost makes big box pointless because I'm having to go change the fields in launchbox every time I'm looking about in bigbox.
