Wow the first pic is much clearer. But I do like sites that house the pics. Makes the site more useful when other sites take the pics down in a yr or two.

What console is this for ?

Great write up. Youtube(mostly walk through from launchbox) , Google and this site helped me to understand a lot about retro gaming and helped me tremendously getting everything going. I mostly stayed with retroarch because once the joystick was set it was fairly easy to get everything else working. I highly suggest those that are starting out to take it one game console at a time. Follow the most current walk throughs. Get everything to work in retroarch. And then start to go out and download individual .exe mentioned above. Retroarch is not that difficult to learn if you follow the walkthroughs closely. They are very informative and easy to follow. They do have a lot of other functions and the save configuration is a little weird getting used to. But for the most part this isn't needed. This is how I proceeded. I first went through and started with the consoles that i thought I really wanted and then started from easiest. Atari 2600, 7800. These were the first system consoles I ever owned so they were near and dear. I kind of knew which games I wanted but it was much easier to download the pack from the sites mentioned. I may or may have used torrents to get them at first. I highly suggest using the websites first though. Then I moved on to sega genesis. Another console I owned. Then I moved on to play tation and then Nintendo. It is crazy watching how good the graphics got. Then I got all the other consoles up and running including PS2 which paved the way for what happened ed below bease the graphics were so much better than those 80 classics. I then Paid for bigbox lifetime. Played with some cool settings. Played a few games and then......this happened Then I went to download and install the PC games I love to play; boy that was a mistake. This is where Ive been since last 2 months. I can't seem to want to put these games down. Im hoping that these eventually wear me down and I get back to what I set out to do. And that is to relive some of my earlier years when gaming was part of my daily routine. Hoping this adds to the above write up and doesn't detract. Happy gaming

Might be time for you to learn how to pull the gba board out, put the gpd board out and solder away. Sell it and make some $$$$$ on the way. Lol
-
Gpd all the way

Let me guess u spelling medafen. That was my error. Lol
-
Thank you for your input. It cleared up some things that even the people at Demul wouldn't or couldn' answer. Thx

WELL NOW YA TELL ME! GOOD TO KNOW THX
-
yeah possibly. Also found out that ALT PLUS ENTER WILL GET YOU BACK TO FULLSCREEN

OK so I figured it out. Go into maple device settings and place the vmu in one of the slots. Probably need more than one for Shenmue. I think each VMU is only 16 blocks but I could be wrong. I selected create a file. It created a new one for me. Then when I start the game it will ask where to save the file. In playing around with this, I have deleted all my save files from other games like Spider-Man, etc. Lucky I just basically started using this emulation or I would have been really frustrated. You know Couch potato rage! LOL Now if I can figure out why the screen goes small when I try to configure the settings and I cannot get it back to fullscreeen, I will be happier.
-
Right in the beginning when you are loading the game. Also I'm having the issue when I try to change settings the screen goes small and I cant get it back to large screen/
-
I do not know how to do that. I ve looked all over the place on how to do it and no luck. Nm. I got it to work but I have no idea how.
-
Yes I understand I need to make a vmu save file for it. That is what I'm asking help with. LOL
-
Yeah me too! It was much easier for sure. LOL
-
Have you Played Shenmue ? If so, that is where I encountered the error. i can play the game so I guess technically it is not an error. I see in the Maple device manager that these can be made. However I keep getting the same instructions of not enough memory blocks
-
Noone Has an answer to this? Or is it just a stupid question. LOL
-
This has also worked for me. Does it effect any of the other games? Or is it per game settings that are being saved I wonder.
-
Weird yours is somewhat different than mine. I ll try to replace mine with yours to see if I like your controls better.

@DOS76 Is your INI file setup using a 360 joystick?
-
I will try the widescreen first. Then I will lay with other settings. Thank you. Edit^^^ Looks like just changing widescreen didn't fix the issue. I went into the properties of the .exe like you said and checking OVERRIDE high DPI scaling behavior scaling performed by and set Application. Now is there a way to run these games in total fullscreen without the bars all the way around the game?
-
But it is just weird that at 1920,1080 still pushes the video screen past the tvs border on the left. So half the game is unplayable. Do you think if I set the res inside the config ini it would make a difference?
-
OK great. Thank you that cleared up both of my old issues. Now I have a new one. Since putting in that -res I adand it still got no errors however the game has moved slightly left. So I put in what you had and it is still moved slightly left. Any ideas here?
-
I cannot use my automation/hot key buttons to exit Supermodel 3. however esc works on the keyboard. Is this the only way to exit Supermodel3? I have -res set up like this - res=1920x1080 -fullscreen and I get errors that say I must set a height and width. It does finally go into fullscreen but the error is still there. Even if I remove the -res I still cannot exit using Hotkeys. Any ideas?

I was unsuccessful with retroarch but found Demul to load and play games well. I started plaing games but noticed that they were all telling me I don't have enough blocks for saves. How do I set up save space or blocks as they call it. I couldn't find it in demul's options so I guess it may need an addon or something. Any help is greatly appreciated Thx

Beats me too! Didn't touch where retroarch was located. Never went and did anything in any of the .xml files. I did not delete anything. I didn't revert windows back to a previous one. All i ever was doing is adding platforms. My last one I added was PS2. And today I went to play an arcade game and to my surprise espxe tried loading the game.
