To enable retroachievements badges, do I need to scan ALL the games?
I scanned only few platforms and if I try to enable badges it says that some games werent scanned.

I was thinking that with this update, if LB hash the first entry
The Subset/prototype/hack/demo roms need to be separated with their own entry, like I always asked.
We'll have to update the DB at last!

so thanks for pointing it out! I know there are lots of features I have yet to explore. I lurk these forums as much as I do trying to learn all these little nuggets of knowledge. I'll have to keep this ability in mind for future convenience.

I can understand very well what you are telling me. LB is a great software but if you want to go deeper there are tons of features that are not to easy to discover! And it takes time. And usually I forget what I learn AHAHAHAH

I supposed that. And for this reason I have asked.
You can import only the files you need.
When you click on --->import--->rom files
it'll open a windows where you should choose the files, instead
you go in the right top corner and you insert, for example, *.cue and then click on the arrow.
The window will show you all the cue filesthat are in main dir and subfolders. Then you select all (click on the first and SHIFT+click on the last) and...voilà!

Maybe two versions of your trophy icon. One that indicates the game selected is compatible and another that indicates a version is compatible would be helpful here as well.

Usually RA uses USA and JAP versions.
I am italian and I have prioritized EUR version...sigh
If I choose "USA first" it'll change all or I have to import again all the roms?

Hi all,
I start this new topic to insert all the Retroachievements Playlist videos that I am doing. I think it is better to have one place.
I'll insert the "normal version" that I have already uploaded and a "DerSchlachter Version" to unify with his logos, now I dont know which one I want to use AHAHAH. @DerSchlachter
The new one is a Gameboy video. I have chosen to insert Avenging Spirit, Kid Dracula and Yoshi Cookie. For any suggestions...tell me!

Hey guys, I am uploading some new videos. I am just learning how to use video editor and I can say that last works are better. Ps2 and psp are funny and I feel I can control in a better way the effects.
I'd like to make some more simple and clear effects but I am not able at the moment.
If you have any suggestion, dont worry, tell me.
I am editing DerSchalchter versions, I have great fun doing them. Any help, tips are always welcome.

Why should you import the game one by one?

I have a question.
The new feature will be able to create a complete (at the moment) RA playlist for a platform, so I can see which titles I miss?
I can miss for 2 reasons:
-wrong hash
-missing title
If not, it is possible to add this function? When I have to manage a list of more than 500 titles is very hard to understand what I am missing. I hope it can be easy to add this.

My best experience with Retroachievments is having separated entry in LB because I want to see the different achievements.
I think that it is really ridiculous this stance towards those who want to enjoy using LB bearing in mind that it would not take anything away from others
Also Martin Luther asked himself if he was doing right a lot of times. And it was for a more important reason. We are talking about a stupid entry. What do you lose with a new entry in DB?

Yeah, I agree. I can obviously accept any smart solution, a new platform can help. Also another guy here on the forum has suggested this. I think we'll have problem managing the emulator for that unique platform that contains different system (Ps1, Ps2, Arcade and so on). New entry in the right platform is the best solution.
There's a kind of ridiculous conservative philosophy that doesn't allow some to think that adding a few hundred titles in a cauldron like the "HACK" one will create an improvement in the situation. That's why I was wondering if there were space problems...
Luckily they are working on the Database. Reading what Jason says I understood that the direction is that of a better experience for all. So I'm very optimistic about the future of Retroachievement. -

it is a little different. I am asking to insert a NEW entry, in a place (HACK) that can contain a lot of variant of the same game.
But I dont want to litter an entry that already exist with a data that it is not official.
So, Devil May Cry 3 Subset is not an official release, and I dont want to see this title in a place that contain only official data. But I can accept it in hack, for example.

I admit that I have thought this "escamotage".
But:
1) I dont like littering the database. I mean, that is not a true alternate name and I cannot put it in.
2) I need a separate entry.
3) I have not made a check on that, but I fear that passing an xml to someone, LB can remove 1 entry and lower the total games number.
So, it can be a local solution and can work for sure, but I think it is not the best solution for all

Oh, I supposed it from the start. And it is the perfect reply.
This should help to mod the titles...also the ones for Retroachievements experience [Subset]. I added some titles that require a separated ID and maybe I can have them, finally, in the DB!!!
I'll add some hack rom to the DB, I am happy for that
