How to use the XML backups

I am getting a corrupt XML error message so I see my back up in the backup folder so how do I utilize the file to recover my XML

Hi @DOS76, just try replacing your LaunchBox.xml file with one from the Backups folder. Try the one with the most recent date first. If that doesn't work, go on down the list.

Works great. I'm very very very glad that you have this feature included. I've never had to use it before but if suddenly all my hard work into LaunchBox was gone I'd probably be very upset. Has this always been a feature or did you add it after experiencing catastrophic failure?

This has been a feature as far back for me as version 2.1, however I assume he's had it there since inception.

It's been there since pretty early on. What I really need to do though is figure out how to prevent the corruption in the first place during freezes and crashes. I do have an idea; probably worth tackling.

Old thread but this looks like the place. My backups folder is getting pretty big. Can I delete some of them?

That is up to you. They are not needed for LB to function, just your back ups in case of an issue and you need to restore.
