Zombeaver Posted August 5, 2016 Author Posted August 5, 2016 Despite an exceedingly generic sounding title, Dungeon Explorer II is actually pretty great and has a really badass cover. Normal: Sketch: Quote
Zombeaver Posted August 6, 2016 Author Posted August 6, 2016 So, I realized after making the above, that I'm a complete moron... Dungeon Explorer II is a Turbografx CD game, so I'm going to have to modify that one to be for Turbografx CD and make a new one for the 16. Ugh... Quote
Zombeaver Posted August 6, 2016 Author Posted August 6, 2016 Aaaaand fixed. Now to figure out what to do for TG16... Normal: Sketch: Quote
CriticalCid Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Air Zonk, Ghost Manor, Night Creatures or Soldier Blade would make great banners. They all have great cover art and are exclusive on the console. Quote
Zombeaver Posted August 6, 2016 Author Posted August 6, 2016 Well damn... I already made one with Side Arms: Hyper Dyne before I saw these suggestions I may have to come back to this again once I knock some other stuff out. I think it turned out pretty well though Normal: Sketch: Quote
Lordmonkus Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 It looks ggod too. Since you seem to be picking lesser known games for these if you get really ambitious are you planning on doing a set with the more iconic games for each system ? Quote
CriticalCid Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Indded. It looks really awesome! But as it only came out in Japan for the PC-Engine and I‘ve splitted the TurboGrafx-16 and PC-Engine as seperate systems could make an alternative PC-Engine version of it please? :) Quote
Zombeaver Posted August 6, 2016 Author Posted August 6, 2016 I'm not sure what happened with my last post but it just keeps on saying "Awaiting Moderation" so let's try this again with an image for the list rather than text in case that's causing something to flag... @lordmonkus possibly, although I don't know that many of these are particularly obscure. Spoiler The only ones out of those that are arguably obscure are: Killing Time (it's the 3DO...your options are limited) Overlord (most C64 games are "obscure" by most people's standard, and a lot of the less obscure ones have awful artwork; I could maybe do something with Montezuma's Revenge or Katakis) Anachronox (which I made for a custom platform that probably only I use, so that's basically a non-issue) Motor Raid (wasn't my first choice, but basically all of the Daytona USA art I found was trash) Betrayal at Krondor (a little obscure yeah; I could probably do one for Doom) Side Arms (not exactly obscure, but not necessarily as "iconic" as say Bonk...a series that I don't actually like very much) Dungeon Explorer II (I'll grant this one; I'll probably do a Rondo of Blood one in the future) Pretty much everything else is as iconic as it gets. EDIT: Here ya go. Normal: Sketch: Quote
Lordmonkus Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 My apologies, I think my memory was getting mixed up with some of the other pictures you were making, disregard what I said. Quote

No no, it's fine! I'm open to any requests for alternate versions, that's no problem. The only caveat is that I have to be able to find good images for them, which isn't always possible. I will say that I already plan to do a Rondo of Blood banner for Turbografx CD and a Doom one for DOS. Quote
Zombeaver Posted August 8, 2016 Author Posted August 8, 2016 Here's a Rondo of Blood alternate banner for TurboGrafx-CD: Normal: Sketch: Quote
CriticalCid Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 Sorry if I nag you with my requests but can I ask for an PC Engine-CD version of Rondo of Blood as well? :) Quote
Zombeaver Posted August 9, 2016 Author Posted August 9, 2016 Actually @CriticalCid, there might be a slight problem. I'm having a hard time finding a good image for the PC Engine CD ROM². I found a really nice image of the PC Engine Duo R, which is basically the same thing in a combo console, if that's okay. Quote
CriticalCid Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Sure, no problem. I can’t find any good image of it either. Quote
Zombeaver Posted August 9, 2016 Author Posted August 9, 2016 Yeah sorry, I hate to do that I just don't want to use a crap image either. This might not be so difficult if they didn't release fifteen billion different variants of the damn thing. Reading the wikipedia page on the TurboGrafx about made me dizzy haha. Quote
