Not a bug but a setting. I think that the default setting for email notifications should changed to off unless there's a major interest otherwise. When you turned on the new forums, I was getting spammed by all manner of posts people were making (mostly the beta thread where you were apparently getting dupes). I was at work and didn't realize that to log in and change those settings I also had to do a password reset (linked straight from the email). Soo my phone kept buzzing over and over.

Thanks Bedwyr, good to know. Users should only get notified on threads they've responded to, but yeah, I can see the potential issue there. The duplicate posts thing should be done for at least.

Yeah, I got it resolved. Mostly spoke up out of concern for newbies getting confronted with a firehose of emails because they left the defaults on and thread-x happens to be a busy one.

Good point. I know there's an option to combine it all into once-daily emails, but not sure if there's anything to help prevent flooding without significantly delaying the emails.

As you can configure in which cases you want to get E-Mails maybe more moderate default settings for this would be a good idea. Right now you get E-Mails for everything.

 

Also I’m not quite sure where to post this, but I need the option back to tell my location in my profile. It’s the simplest way to excuse my bad English

Yeah, I'll go through the email settings and tweak some of them. Obviously we don't need emails for likes lol. I'll see if there's something I can do on the location stuff.

For new posts, that should work correctly. Unfortunately the old posts that were transferred over didn't automatically show up that way though. I have that on my plate.

By the way, I just added a dark theme that I'm really liking. You should be able to switch the theme in the footer now.

Ah sorry I deleted my post when I saw this working in another topic. 

But I don't understand how to embed a youtube video. For example, in the CleanBG topic, I've linked a video and it's only a... link 
Is there a special tag to write?

Hmm, maybe it's not properly accepting YouTube shortlinks. It should automatically put the video in there if you just put in the full YouTube URL directly in the text (no tags or anything).

I really like the new dark theme. Thanks Jason

I've also noticed that the administrators rank is red colored and the moderators rank isn't. Maybe you can change it to green or blue so that new users can see it more directly when a mod is responding to them. (Of course it would also push my ego to have a fancy colored rank )

I did change the moderator colors, Cid. Also just added Tapatalk support. It's available in Tapatalk under "LaunchBox Forums".

Hot dam, these new forums are great. Is this what you specialised in when you were working or something?.  Im looking forward for that day when its all integrated into Launchbox

I think I may have found a bug. The forum seems to automatically follow forum post and send notifications to every forum post I post in even though I have that option unchecked in my following preferences.

click notification icon going into settings and there are options I turned off all of my email notifications altogether and I haven't gotten an email from the forums in days
