omlifecrew
Any way to launch puNes in fullscreen in launchbox yet? Without the keyboard code?

It should load up full screen the next time around, it does for me anyways. The answer to this was on the first page, 3rd post.
omlifecrew
I didnt see the launchbox key press combo note. I'm a speed reader...
Lordmonkus
Load it once, Alt + Enter once to make it fullscreen it, close it with Alt + F4, the next time you run it through LB it will load it in fullscreen. You will want to use this AHK script to close it out though: $Esc:: { Process, Close, {{{StartupEXE}}} }
omlifecrew
The AHK should be inserted/typed in edit emmulator>autohotkey script? I typed as shown and didnthenkey commands and it doesn't stick in full screen. also When I switched to puNes and bulk editied my games to load with this new emulator I get an error loading rom. I do have the correct folder path I believe, as I just bulk editited the game room paths and the emulator plays them outside of launchbox. (Just going to reimport while I wait and see if that works) Edited July 17, 2018 by omlifecrew
Lordmonkus
I don't know, if your roms aren't changing location it should just work, puNES doesn't require any special command line parameters.
omlifecrew
I'm just trying to reimport games now and see of something changes.
omlifecrew
Any ideas why it's not sticking in fullscreen after I have pressed alt & enter and then closed out?
Lordmonkus
Nope, cause it works for me.

Press alt-enter to go fullscreen then close the emulator by pressing Alt-Q (which is how to close the emulator properly, while letting it save its settings). Now when you launch puNES via launchbox it should remain in fullscreen. Edited July 22, 2018 by CDBlue
Lordmonkus
Thanks for pointing that out @CDBlue, I had totally forgotten about that.

omlifecrew
Nah I just got rid of the emulator and went with Haigan. Easier to import all my rims that way right now. I'm happy with it for what it does. I'll revisit puNes in the future.
Lordmonkus
Of all the NES emulators you could have switched to you picked Higan ? Higan is a fantastic SNES emulator but even Byuu admits that the other systems it emulates is not that good yet. Mesen would be the best option followed by Nestopia or even BizHawk. CDBlue
+1 what @Lordmonkus suggested. Higan is great for SNES emulation (if accuracy is what you want), but the other boxes it emulates are ok, but not great. Mesen is the emulator of choice right now if accuracy is what you're looking for. FYI, I suggest using the retroarch core for Mesen vs the stand-alone. Easier to use if you already have Retroarch installed that is.
omlifecrew
I had a modded ps3 and downloaded retroarch for it but it was like looking at foreign language to me. Then I downloaded it the other day to try it out for PC and it looked just like the Ps3 version. I freaked out and that was the last time I opened it up to try it. ?
