Problems with MAME sets

Everytime I download a set of MAME games half of the games doesn't work.
My question is, where do you guys download your MAME games? I really need to know

You need to get a romset to match the version of mame you are running ie:- if using mame 177 you need a mame 0177 set if mame version 0176 then you need to get a 0176 romset.

google is your best friend here look for no intro sets

You do not "NEED" to have a matching romset to your version of Mame.

I use a 151 rom set with a 174 build of Mame and everything works perfectly.

My set never matches either I'm sure there will be games that don't work because of the compatibility of the ROMs but I've never come across one while browsing through MAME, I know they are there but I haven't come across them. I've update my ROMs recently I'm on 174 but using 176 MAMEUI without issues.

My Mame set is 161 works fine on 176. in fact my Neo Geo set is from like 153 and that works on 176 too.
