Zombeaver
So you have: 1) directed the rom path in the library entry to the .cue 2) unchecked "use an emulator" in the "Emulation" tab 3) gone to the additional apps tab in the game entry and added an entry for SSF, directed it to the SSF.exe, and checked "Automatically Run After Main Application" If you've done these, what happens when you try to launch the game? Do you see the little DT window saying "Mounting image..."?
luger81
I can try again later. I'm not home now but I will definitely get back to you @Zombeaver. Again, I appreciate the help that all have given me.
Zombeaver
Alrighty, no problem. If you've done all those steps, it should work, assuming DT is actually working in W10. If you're able to mount the image but it's just not loading in SSF, double-check to make sure SSF is looking at the correct virtual drive. I believe it's in the "Peripherals" section in SSF's options. There's a section for "CD Drive" - just make sure it's looking at the one that corresponds to your DT virtual drive. Lordmonkus
Yeah I forgot about that too, checking to make sure DTools is actually looking for the right virtual drive is a big step. But like @Zombeaversaid if everything is set up right either method to load the games should work just fine. I have used both methods with success. luger81
Thank you all again. The games load in SSF but when I try to launch them through LB. It's not working. I'll get back to you when I get home.
luger81
I just want to say thank you to everyone that has helped me, @Jason Carr included. You all have been very helpful and quick with replies. Thank you!!! I have figured out a ton of issues on systems, thanks to your help and @SentaiBrad's great tutorials, and now I just have a few that need to be ironed out. The ones that I mentioned in this thread. Now I know that I can't really run PS2...still have issues with Dreamcast and Saturn but we're getting there. I will try the steps again about my issue and will get back to you all when I get a chance. Edited September 14, 2016 by luger81
Zombeaver
No problem, happy to help! Emulation has a proclivity to turn convoluted and overwhelming real quick, so if there's something I've prodded and fought with until it worked and somebody asks about it down the line, I might as well share that information - there's no reason to hoard it.

Zombeaver
Just now, lordmonkus said: Mine.. ALL MINE. Hahaha. My... PRECIOOOUS The sad part is there are people that really do think like that... "Hey guys look at this really cool thing that I got to work. I will now give you no explanation of how I achieved this or where to even begin. Don't ask me any questions. I figured it out, so can you." As completely retarded as that sounds I've encountered people that really have that attitude. Like "How dumb could you be to even ask?" or they act like something should just be super obvious (even if it clearly isn't). I've seen a ton of that on reddit and elsewhere and it drives me insane.
Lordmonkus
Yeah Reddit can be pretty bad. I saw in one post where someone posted Austins Mednafen Saturn tutorial video and some jack ass posted saying that if you needed a tutorial for that you shouldn't even be doing emulation. Like WOW. Zombeaver
Yep, there it is. When I see stuff like that I just want to ask "So you're telling me you've never looked up any information or asked for any, at any point, during the time that you've been messing with emulation? Your entire experience has been relegated to NES, SNES, and Genesis emulation then, I take it?"
Lordmonkus
For what it's actually worth though that post got downvoted into oblivion in a hurry and hidden.

As it should've been. This stuff is complicated. That's why there are tutorials and forums.
Lordmonkus
There are people on places like Reddit and Youtube comments that just like to say shit like that because it makes them feel edgy and rebellious. Like "look at me im going against the grain and there's nothing you can do about" kind of attitude. In the real world that sort of shit would get their head punched in. Does that pop up when I have the "Additional Apps" pointed to the SSF.bat as @lordmonkus suggested? Also, LB says that I need an emulator to start "Sega Saturn" games....Ummm....you said to uncheck "Use an emulator". Zombeaver
It's not in the pictures because it's not really something being done through LB - by unchecking "use an emulator" what you're essentially doing is just creating a shortcut to the .cue file. When you start it, what should happen is DT should mount it, assuming you have .cue files associated to use DT in Windows (which should happen by default after you install DT). If you can double click on the .cue in windows and it mounts it, what you're doing here is no different. The additional app doesn't come into play until the mounting process is complete. You run the "game", it mounts the disc, it starts SSF after it's mounted. And yes, it'll tell you you need to use an emulator, but the way we're doing it you don't. Or...not in the way it thinks anyway.
luger81
This is what I have setup to get DTools to work with LB and SSF. Also I made the .bat file as Lordmonkus suggested. Still not loading automatically when I click on a game. Btw, what version of Daemon Tools should I be using? Since I have Windows 10 I can't use SCSI. I've tried but it fails every time I try to install it. Right now I have DTools Lite 10.2.
