Lordmonkus
Cool. I noticed you said you didn't have any Playstation and ePSXe is giving you issues. What sort of issues are you having ? I have had ePSXe version 2.0 or newer running pretty good on fairly modest hardware. What sort of system specs are you running ?
snoopaloop83
I've tried a few different epsxe versions and plugin combinations and it always crashes when i launch. My system specs are Processor Up to 6th Generation Intel Core i7 Processor Operating System Windows 10 Home Discrete Graphics Up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M 4GB Memory Up to 8 GB DDR4 2133 MHz I tried using the retroarch mednafen psx cores but i get poor performance even even in GL mode. I have tested the latest stable, and nightly builds of retroarch.
Lordmonkus
Yeah Retroarchs Mednafen PSX core can be a bit demanding but ePSXe 2.0 or newer should be very usable for you. I have had it running smooth on an AMD 1.5 Ghz laptop w/ Windows 10 and Lottes shader and it runs on my 10 year old 2.2 GHz AMD desktop coverted to HTPC. Weird that you are having issues with it crashing. Are you using the built in HLE bios or real bios ?
DOS76
RA PSX core shouldn't be causing issues for his system its got a new i7 a 900 series card and 8GB of RAM so it should handle anything
Lordmonkus
Yeah it shouldn't be an issue but ePSXe 2.0 should be even less of a problem. Something weird is going on.

Lordmonkus
It could be a graphics driver issue but I don't think so. If other Retroarch cores are working fine then the PSX one should be fine as well. And with ePSXe I would start off with the basic video plugin and not the Petes OpenGL one and see if that works. ckp
I would try a fresh ePSXe in a new folder.
Lordmonkus
That would probably be a good start along with the default video plugin.
