I've used HS \ RetroFE in the past but want some advice on what emulators are best to use with the following systems below I'm looking on using with Launchbox. Lordmonkus Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 What I do is I have an emulators folder and then sub folders for each emulator and version number. I then have a roms folder and separate sub folders for each platform. I also keep my emus and roms separated.

DOS76 Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 @lordmonkusdo the Supergrafx cores really work for Famicom and FDS or was that a typo? Also curious why the bsnes mercury core over the bsnes?
Lordmonkus Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 Yes that was a typo which I will fix. I suggested the Mercury core because it uses high level emulation for the Snes' special chips like dsp and others. If you use the standard BSnes core you will need dumps of those special chips.

I'm now just creating and getting the folder structures in place to try and make it as easy as possible. I've not used RetroArch before but it seems a lot of systems require it so I might make a start on that first. Cheers 1

I just double checked on my 1.5.0 64 bit build and it is there but on my HTPC with 1.3.6 32 bit it is not in the updater. Checking on their website there is no 32 bit version in the list. http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/windows/
trotter Posted April 18, 2017 Author Posted April 18, 2017 lordmonkus , I've started setting up mame with mame 2014 core and its pulled most of the artwork for the games but when I select a game through launchbox and select play nothing happens? but if I select open game folder or open retroarch they seem to open correctly. any ideas cheers guys
