Add NEW Emulators to the list

pretty much what the title says...its great that you guys have several emulators already setup for us, but, you DONT allow us to add our own.

 

Emulator of note (that I cannot believe you dont have, its literally the main emulator for this) is PPSSPP. The defacto PSP emulator. I tried to add it, and launchbox wont let me add it, since its not in the pre-defined list of emulators.

 

This is IMO a big oversight and needs to be corrected.

You can add any emulator you like, just use the Manage Emulators found in the Tools menu.

Then click Add at the bottom left.

Call it what you want and point it to the emulators executable file.

Then input the platforms you wish to be able to use this emulator with and the appropriate command line parameters if necessary in the Associated Platforms tab.

And since you mentioned PPSSPP here are the screenshots of mine.

i did that exact thing

and im telling you

it wont let me

it literally keeps throwing errors all over the place.

first it ERASES the application path, so I add it back in. Then I add in the default platform, check the box that says "default" and click "ok" and it still errors.

Ok the very first emulator is telling you add a platform in the associated platforms like I explained.

The 2nd error is telling you to point the emulators executable, again like I explained.

Check my tutorial I did, it's done using Retroarch but all the exact same steps apply and are relevant. Skip in to about 2:30 to get to the part where I show adding the emulator.

Adding emulators works just fine, here is a very quick video i just threw together it's only 38 seconds long and shows me adding ppsspp to Launchbox.

Just another example of the original question not being answered. None of these suggestions tells how to add an emulator that isn't found in the pre-populated list.

Literally the 2nd post, my first response shows with screenshots how to do it.

My video tutorial I linked shows and it's easy to add them using the manage emulators and many of the online tutorials show how so yeah please don't act like it's so difficult and we can't be bothered to tell people.
