N64 Emulation - Which Core?

Finally got back to launchbox and updated Retroarch . My question is which N64 Core should I be using now. I can't find any up to date information. Even on youtube, info is over 6 months old.  Mupen64Plus used to be the most compatible but it seems Parallei RDP has made some advances and is being recommended by some. Any recommendations?

Use the mupen64plus_next core.

In my experience, the ParaLLel core is amazing and better than the Mupen core.  Try them both.

I use both, mainly parallel core, but some games don't run so well in parallel core, so for those I use Mupen. Why I don't always use Mupen, I had better experience with the parallel core in general, but that might just be in my case though.

There is no point in the parallel core at the moment, all the "accuracy" stuff from it have been implemented into the Mupen64-Next core, it's all under the core options.
