Question about Marquee Images and image priorities

Is there something I'm missing about how image priorities work? The theme I've built (Vertical Aspirations) uses marquee images for each game. I'd like to not show anything at all in the marquee area if there are no marquee images in the arcade - marquee images folders for each system. Unfortunately, in testing I'm seeing that even though there are no images in that folder, and marquees are not selected in any of the image priorities categories, I'm still seeing other art from the box front image priorities category show up where the marquee image would be. The only way I've found to suppress other image types from showing up there, is by un-checking every image type in Box Front image priorities. This breaks viewing box front art in other areas so obviously I don't want to have to tell people that download the theme that they have to do that, but I see no other way to do this. Is there something I'm overlooking or is this the only way to accomplish this?

Unfortunately there is no user settings for marquee image priorities like other image types have. It is coded into BB that in the absence of a marquee image BB will use your box front image priorities. Marquee priorities is one of the things I have been looking forward to in BB. So hopefully next poll marquee support upgrade can make the cut.

@JaysArcade From how I'm envisioning your Vertical Theme (which I could be totally off base), sounds like a "Default Marquee" folder in "platforms" is what's needed (vs adding marquee priority options).  Kind of likeimage.png.a3a75e440d7b914b47e45fdb5103672c.pngOf course I added that in myself, so t'ain't going to work.  But if say... in Atari 2600, if 'Adventures of Tron' didn't have its own marquee, whatever is in that folder would show instead.

Yeah maybe something like that would work.

Here is where my problem started. Originally, the marquee area just used the clear logo (except for MAME games). The issue was someone asked if they could have a marquee image instead of the clear logo because the clear logo was already shown below on the wheel. They didn't like the look and I thought it was a good request. The mame games always used a marquee that was different than the clear logo. I had a pretty full set of marquees for mame so I never saw any problems when testing. It was only when I added marquee support for the other systems that I started seeing some problems.

I'm using the Community Theme Creator to bulid the theme. I added the arcade - marquee as the image to display in that area. I was going to use the visibilty conditions to show the clear logo in the event the marquee didn't show and this works but because the settings for that area were stretced to fill the whole marquee area, when the the clear logo was shown it too was stretched and looked weird. To overcome this, I creted an image in a new layer to show in the same area (but not stretched in the whole marquee area) but it remains hidden unless an image file doesn't exist for the marquee. This works well, but the image priorities kicks in and foils my plans, LOL.

I still feel like there is some kind of visibility condioning that can be applied here to get the result I'm after. Maybe I need to consult @y2guru to see if he knows a way I can get it to work.
