Plank_7 Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 Hello there, this is a problem I've had when using LaunchBox for years. After I open up LaunchBox, my auto-hide taskbar doesn't unhide when I lower my mouse to the bottom of the screen. This doesn't happen with any other application I use. I can access it if I minimize LaunchBox or press the windows key, but I don't see why I can't just use the mouse. Is there a setting somewhere to make it so this doesn't happen? I have a license if it's a premium feature or something. Thank you. Quote
C-Beats Posted March 21, 2022 Posted March 21, 2022 Big Box intentionally hides the start menu, I don't believe we have anything in LaunchBox intentionally doing that though. I've left a note to myself to check this and see if I can replicate. Thanks for letting us know, this is first I'm hearing of some one having this issue. Quote

I have also noticed this over the years, i have to first minimize or make the Launchbox window smaller before my taskbar will show on mouse point. Quote
TheNewClassics Posted August 12, 2022 Posted August 12, 2022 I also have this issue on my system. The taskbar can't be accessed when Auto-Hide Taskbar is on and Launchbox is maximized Quote
neil9000 Posted August 12, 2022 Posted August 12, 2022 Yeah the issue still persists, if you have the taskbar to autohide in Windows, Launchbox goes fullscreen and does not allow you to bring up the taskbar when hovering at the bottom of the screen. No other apps i use do this, it's almost as if Launchbox has gone exclusive fullscreen. Quote
Jayinem Posted November 2, 2024 Posted November 2, 2024 Sorry for bumping this old thread but it never got resolved and this happens to me when I wake the computer from sleep it covers my entire screen no taskbar showing. I even have taskbar set to not autohide it still does it, and the taskbar is locked still does it. It also happens after playing some games. Not sure if it has to do with resolution or what but I checked before/after sleep the resolution stays the same on my TV. Quote

You may potentially have better luck opening a new thread than necroing an unrelated thread from a few years back. The only thing I could comment on here is that I also have my computer go to sleep, but don't seem to have the same issue as you after it wakes up. 1 Quote
Spongi_nareaF_twerkpants67 Posted Thursday at 05:50 AM Posted Thursday at 05:50 AM Hey Im have a simmillar issue, rn now。请帮忙,抱歉我的英语不好。Hi, so I'm currently facing a serious problem where I open the AFOREMENTIONED problem and it flips a 180 degress. I usually rotate my VESA mounted main monitor when I open this application because the user instructions I was provided told me to do so - however the application is upside down upon doing this. Any known fixes because this makes the application quite literally unsuable to me. Added information: I'm Chinese 鬼佬, don't know if this has an impact but just wanted to state in case. Spoiler Any help spls 1 Quote
Jayinem Posted Sunday at 12:13 AM Posted Sunday at 12:13 AM (edited) I have this problem too but I use an autohotkey script that constantly checks if it is covering the taskbar and makes it where it doesn't. #SingleInstance force #Persistent #SingleInstance Force SetWorkingDir %A_ScriptDir% if not A_IsAdmin Run *RunAs "%A_ScriptFullPath%" ; (A_AhkPath is usually optional if the script has the .ahk extension.) You would typically check first. WinGet, state, MinMax, % "ahk_id " WinExist("ahk_exe Launchbox.exe") Loop { if (state = -1) WinRestore A } return Even if you've never used Autohotkey if you have the script it's easy. Just install autohotkey from autohotkey.com copy the above script go to where your directory that has Launchbox.exe right click on an empty space and choose new autohotkey script and paste the above script in and save. Then I recommend right clicking on the new document (you can call it whatever you want) .ahk and compile script. Double click the .exe to start the script. To have it working every time you start your computer take the .exe and right click on it and create shortcut. Press the Windows key + R at the same time it will open a run box type shell:startup and hit enter. This will open your startup folder and put the shortcut in if you want to use this every time your computer starts. I actually use an additional script that keeps Launchbox fullscreen (minus the taskbar) at all times that I can provide if requested. It doesn't effect using things over it like for example firefox, you just can't minimize it (I think of it ask my "desktop wallpaper that you can scroll through games with) and I have another one that reopens it if it closes automatically.
