To be clear the banning is for the images he uploaded, not the creation of the game itself, correct? Games can be created and modified as long as the content does not contain nudity or pornography?

To be honest, I don't think we need them at all. But yes, he was banned because he was posting explicit images.

I will review on Monday, but it's likely that they just took a jump because they weren't updating for a while.

I am getting 18 added to the totals for each approval. This is like a double XP weekend.

Despite still working through the issues, the speed is just breathtakingly fast for moderations. As soon as I verify sources and click to approve it is on the next moderation in a flash! Absolutely outstanding!!

After reviewing this and testing everything, I believe this is working as it always has, though I agree that it's a bit confusing. When a game is added to the database, for example, there are actually many different "change" records included in that moderation process. There's a change for each field, basically (game title, ESRB, developers, publishers, etc.). So in the database, that's represented as a moderation for each change, even though you may have only clicked the Accept or Reject button once. Some moderations (like game deletions) will only increase the value by one, but others may add quite a bit more to the value. So "Total Moderations" is not "total times the button was pressed". It's more "total actual moderated changes to the database, including each and every field". I believe it always worked that way, but I can't say whether there were bugs previously that may have affected that number.

It seems that there's plenty of duplicate games being generated at the moment. This is just one example, at least five other games for Amstrad CPC platform alone have multiple duplicates, up to six per game.

Alright, apparently I re-introduced the duplicate games issue in the last update, sigh. It should be resolved now. I'm also working on removing the duplicates that were introduced in the mean time.

I've removed all duplicate games in the database, and added a restriction to the game table on the database that no two games can have the same title and platform. There were roughly 300 duplicates in the database that have been deleted.

Going forward, in the very rare case that there are two different games with the same title for the same platform, we should add them as Game Title (Developer Name). This should stop any back and forth with games getting deleted and re-added because they're assumed to be duplicates, and should help us maintain a much cleaner database.

I'm still experiencing the "pending" issue. In my case some of my submissions have 3 pro / 0 con but still stick at pending, and one is stuck at 10 pro / 1 con. Others go through without problem. I assume it will sort itself out eventually, just figured it was worth mentioning that it's happening.

The same for me.

I have several images with very high approval numbers on pending status. The oldest picture has been in the queue for more than eight days and has 27 approvals (3 rejections)!

Just to show a few of them:

FYI all, the previous issue with changes stuck in limbo was unfortunately reintroduced because a stored procedure got reverted (it was my mistake). Apologies for that (again). That has been fixed.

Apparently removing a release date and leaving the field empty doesn't work. Tried this with some of the unreleased prototype entries, and the change didn't show in my Changes Status page, so I assume it doesn't come up in the moderation que either. Also, clicking the Genre field doesn't show the list of genres until you type in a letter.

I still have one outstanding item, a C128 game that I accidentally added with scanlines on, which I will fix after approval or disapproval. It was submitted 3/16, and this is the current status as of this minute.
