Jabb3rJaw
I keep getting an error in Launchbox for Dolphin when I go to manage emulators. I’ve tried deleting Dolphin and reinstalling and tried letting Launchbox download it but nothing helps. Any ideas?
JoeViking245
If you go into Tools - Manage - Plugins, does it show that the Dolphin plugin has an update? If so, update it (LaunchBox may need to restart) then try having LB install the emulator.

Jabb3rJaw
So I tried updating the plugins and am still getting the same error. I even tried reinstalling dolphin again. I’m confused what the “long version” of Dolphin would be? Is there a file that is storing the wrong version in Launchbox I could delete to start over for Dolphin? Thanks again for the help. JoeViking245
To verify, when you go to Tools - Manage - Plugins and select Dolphin, does it say it's on version 1.2? When you go to Tools - Manage - Emulators, do you have more than one 'Dolphin' emulator? What version of Dolphin does it say you have? (give it a couple seconds to do its version checks) Actually, this is probably when you see the popup errors. Close the message window(s). Select your Dolphin emulator and click edit. What does it show for the "Current Version"? Can you click Update? Click Update and let it do its thing. The current version should show as above. If it doesn't, click OK, then click Close to close Manage Emulators. Re-open Manage Emulators. Do the message window(s) still appear? Does it show Dolphins' version as 2407-68? Jabb3rJaw
This error is occurring as soon as I start download manager for emulators. I use to have two versions of dolphin installed but not any longer. I tried again deleting dolphin and reinstalling and repairing the plug in but still every time I run download manager for the emulators I get both of these errors. It will do both errors twice in a row also? I'm confused on what its checking that it doesn't like?

You have a very strange commandline set in your Dolphin entry, id start by deleting that and seeing what happens.
Jabb3rJaw
I know that's been changed. Not sure where I got that from lol
JoeViking245
Ya, like Neil says something's screwy with the command-line parameters. Should have been (with using the emulator installer plugin) -b -C Dolphin.Interface.ConfirmStop=False -C Dolphin.Display.Fullscreen=True -e Go into editing your Dolphin emulator and click Reinstall. See if that changes anything. My last-ditch effort process would be... Tools - Manage - Emulators Select Dolphin Click Delete ("are your sure"... Yes) Click Close Go to Windows Explorer and navigate to /LaunchBox/Emulators/ and delete the Dolphin folder Tools - Manage - Emulators Click Add For the Emulator Name, click the down arrow (far right) and select Dolphin from the pull-down menu Click Download "OK" "Close" Tools - Manage - Emulators Beyond that, no idea. Unless someone else knows what's going on, may have to wait until tomorrow when the developers are back online.
Jabb3rJaw
@C-Beats I see there’s another thread just started about Dolphin using Retroarch. I’m using standalone but could my issue be related you think?

AstroBob
Hi Folks, Following up on this thread to see if we can get this sorted. I know it's been a while since the last post, so just to confirm @Jabb3rJaw, did you manage to follow Joe's instructions with the full command line path for Dolphin. And if so, is the issue still occurring for you? For the other users who are experiencing this problem ( @Briantodd & @Next 1 Up 301 ), can you both please confirm: - What version of Dolphin you have installed? - What command line parameters you are using? - What error message is displayed when trying to Launch a game using Dolphin - Does the error occur when launching directly through Dolhin (not LaunchBox) - Can you follow Joe's instructions, and let us know if the issue still occurs for you Let us know and we'll try and get y'all sorted. Cheers,

Cheers, For me it was operator error. I had another emulator using a different dolphin version. I deleted the other dolphin emulator and configured all emulators to use the same version of Dolphin and the error went away. Totally forgot I had a separate Dolphin in a different folder.
