NEON DELUXE ARCADE - 16:9

-----------------------------------------------------
CREDITS

Huge thanks goes out to @y2guru for his Community Theme Creator Software and his endless personal help, also he created the animated wheels for this theme! @Hexxxer for the original inspiration of his FutureState theme. @Rincewind for the inspiration on his use of the icons. @faeranfor explaining the new marquee options in v12. Thanks guys!

-----------------------------------------------------

INSTALLATION

1. Download the theme here and place the folder in Launchbox/Themes/

2. You might need to unblock the zip file or all the .DLL's in the plugin folder. Right click the zip or DLL files, choose properties and at the bottom you click "Unblock".

3. I recommend doing the following to speed up Big Box greatly:

 - Uncheck all Background Images in Launchbox > Tools > Options > Media > Background Priorities
 - Set all transitions to "None" in BigBox settings
 - Use the Clean Up media tool in launchbox/tools/Clean Up Media... (this can really speed up lists with thousands of games and duplicate media)
 - Defrag the drive that holds your media files

Hope you like and enjoy! ?

v2.2

- Former "Alt views" version with static wheels is now the main continuing theme called: "Neon Deluxe Arcade" again.

- Partly rebuild using the latest Community Theme Creator of which; less and more efficient code which in turn loads faster, thanks to legend @y2guru for his hard work and dedication.

- Platform view texts (in view 1 and 2) are now lined out correctly and collapse when no input.

- Icons: ESRB rating, Broken, Completed, Favorite & Portable lined out correctly and collapse when no input, gone are the transparent fallback icons.

- Arcade PCB image shows if available instead of cart. (If you like to use PCB images with a transparent background check:

- Named all items in Community Theme Creator more logical to understand the elements in coding and the future release of the CTC file.

- Game Notes starts scrolling and is scrolling a bit faster, text layout is now set to justified instead of default left align.

- Wallgamesview background is blurred now to accentuate front covers, more covers shown at one screen.

- Changed some views around in a more logical order.

- Added new Platform view (view 3) with room for platform details text.

- Added new Platform view (view 4) with room for platform details text and background image of platform banner.

- Added 12hr and 24hr clock next to each other so both clocks are there for people around the globe, no need to make a separate version per clock now.

- Added fallback value "-" for missing game details in most views.

- Changed screenshots in this post to reflect current version clearly

I removed the clock for you, overwrite this file in the theme's view folder. This view also shares the same view with the filters/text view which would overlap the text on top of the box and cart, it wouldnt look right.

Hi there, I've been enjoying this theme for quite a while but after the last few updates (I want to say since version 12.13 or so) I've been getting this error, mostly when I attempt to back out to the options screen..

error.thumb.jpg.563173db4e1ee52de57c36549518833d.jpg

I have tried reinstalling the latest version of this theme and I do right-click the downloaded archive and check "unblock". I did try doing a little searching, but most of what I come up with has to do with symlink issues for folks who have launchbox installed over their network. This installation is sitting on a local drive... Not really sure what to make of this so I'm hoping I can get pointed in the right direction.

Thats weird, I'm not sure at this moment but I think it also had to do with external hdd's is that the case with your setup?

No, this is an internally connected SATA SSD. I do not have Launchbox installed in my user folder though. It's on the root of this hard drive, but the account that I use on this system is the admin account. I don't think its a permissions issue but the fact that I changed the installation directory is probably worth mentioning.

There is one thing that occurred to me after I posted this. When I unzip an archive I tend to let it just pull the files out to a folder in my downloads directory. I then will cut/paste those files to their final destination. I did notice that this changes the files modified date vs what they show up as in the archive. I don't really know that this matters, but just to be sure I did re-install the theme again making sure to unpack the zip file directly to its final destination in the Launchbox Themes directory. Now the files show the same modified date as they do in the archive.

Its an intermittent issue. Sometimes I can launch the application without a problem, sometimes not. I'll be tinkering with it today and I'll see if it keeps throwing the error at me.

I hope you can solve it man, i'm afraid I can't be much of assistance as it's working as it should on my end.

Yeah I get its hard to diagnose when its not reproducible.

The particular png file it always seems to throw the error on is located within...

OptionsPage.xaml
OptionsView.xaml
TextListView.xaml
TextFiltersView.xaml
SystemView.xaml

Since the error is basically just "we can't find that path, yo." I altered the entries in those files to point directly to the png file relative to my installation.

Using notepad++ I can change every instance of "pack://siteoforigin:,,," to "G:/LaunchBox" pretty easily.

So far it seems to have shored up my issue. I'll pop back in after a bit if it doesn't stay fixed.

Thats a smart move, if it still gives errors you could delete those xaml files and they'll revert to the default xaml views, which should be error free.

Thanks Mr. Retrolust. Can you share your settings for image priority to make it look like yours?

I'll post it tomorrow morning ;)

What's New in Version 2.5

- Fixed long standing issue of options background image not scaling properly in resolutions other than 3840x2160 thanks to @C-Beats !
- Logos now use the new WheelItemTemplate so they size correctly within the arrow selector
- Tweaked wheel looks (Thanks for explaining and your patience @y2guru !) also wheel logos are higher res compared to previous version
- Wheels response times are faster
- Text title on Wheel2GamesView, 3 and 4 is smaller for more room when longer titles, changed color to fit design and added game version field below title
- Brightened wheel arrow selector images; more apparent animation
- Changed wheel/search index colors to better fit design
- Minor pixel sized tweakings to UI elements size and position for consistant look and feel
- Wheels in text lists now have "wrap"; long titles will start on next line instead of dissapearing text
- Added another WallGamesView, one with 3D boxes and one with front boxes
- Changed look pop-ups thanks to and based on @y2guru 's new pop-up view in CTC 2.5
- Huge thanks to @y2guru for CTC 2.5 which made all of this possible:

Hi @Mr. RetroLust. Thanks for the new version of your theme, it works very well. Except for one thing. If games don't have a logo then there should be the name of the game shown in the list. But it does not. In version 2.4 this works but not in 2.5. See pictures. The first is 2.4, the second is 2.5. In the lower left. Also this problem is in all the views, horizontal and vertical.
