  1. I concur. 1.1 beta 6 auto updater updated to 1.1 beta 7 without incident on my Retroid Pocket 2+. Fire Cube next 👍
  2. I have the APK installed on my Fire Cube (Fire TV), and Retroid Pocket 2+. Updater stopped working on both with 1.0. I've just manually installed 1.1 beta 6 on the Fire Cube successfully.
  3. Good work Jason. Looking forward to whatever comes next. It's a great front end on both PC and Android.
  4. I managed to get 1.1 beta 6 installed but it appears the issue is somewhat to do with the auto installer. I deleted the contents of /launchbox/updates Launched 1.0 > it prompted to update > downloaded > prompted to install > failed with error message I closed Launchbox > file browsed to /launchbox/updates/ selected 1.1 beta 6 > it installed ok. Regards, Mat
  5. If you are aware of a location that the message is available as a temp file or some such... let me know and I will see if I can grab a text copy.
  6. I can take photos with my mobile phone.. but they are massive in file size.. and it takes about 10 to get the whole error I'm just trying to edit the images to a sensible file size, so that I can upload the whole message.. if necessary.
  7. Just trying to grab the text, so that I can post it. There is nothing helpful in the launchbox/log folder. The message is on the screen after the install. It has an ok button that closes the message but I cannot copy it, as it won't allow click/highlight. Ummm give me a few and I'll try to work it out
  8. Nope not working via inbuilt, downloads something... Installs.. loads.. java error message.. closes. Launchbox remains on 1.0 and reports update available.. repeat loop. archive.zip
  9. Manually. I'll try via built in, as I've put 1.0 back on.
  10. Cannot install it unfortunately. It just says cannot open file. Tried to download twice with the same result.
  11. Thanks Jason. I'll test and feedback in very shortly.
  12. Running Retroid Pocket 2+ (Android 9) and also on the beta update path. Everything was fine until 1.0 but betas after have failed to install due to the same "java"? error. I will see if I can get the log files and upload. Logs added. No idea which you need, there are loads. So I added them all.Debuglogs.zip
  13. Nice, I never even considered that a home made Fruit machine was or could be a thing. That's pretty amazing. 10/10 for effort
  14. I've been a bit busy with work for the past few days and currently waiting for approval to sign into their forum. From what I can tell, its somewhat like MAME, in that MFME is able to emulate the ROMS from real digital machines, and then people much smarter than me create the artwork that gives the impression its a real machine (like MAME bezels, Marquees etc). I'm not even a Fruit machine playing person, it just sounds interesting from a technical perspective. I saw a Deal or No Deal game and do remember seeing those in the pub a few years back. I'm a little confused by the DX stuff, these appear to be the same but with much better artwork ? What I saw over there suggested some require a fee to access (but not sure, there is a lot to read and understand), their version numbering system is as mad as a box of frogs that's for sure. Always good to discover new stuff... ?
  15. I've created an account with Desert Island Fruits. Looks like its quite a complicated thing to use/setup so I will say "hello" once approved and have a good read and get my self educated.
  16. I know MFME is a download from https://www.desertislandfruits.com/forum/index.php?/topic/3062-mfme-v19-release/ but it seems you need to be a member, and then post 30 times before you get anywhere near the Emulator. Is this not available to download anywhere else ? I've never seen an Emulator behind a forum wall before, and I've just been reading this thread about MFME and it sounds interesting or worth a little look to see how they play. However, posting 30 times on a forum just to try it...... thats a big ask. I've been using Launchbox since day one and only posted here about 5 times. Edit/ 4 times just noticed that its under my profile (I am old be nice).
  17. I will see what my setup does if I remove -sound_buffer 2048 and the -opengl entry. Maybe both are redundant I am not sure. \\Launchbox\Emulators\American Laser Games\ contains the following on my system... (if you need to check .dll files). Could it be a .dll that is needed ? Your error log says WARNING: Audio device could not be opened: DirectSoundCreate: No audio device found which is rather odd given it managed to find it when running in a Window. The following folders are totally empty.. data, framefile, ram, roms, videos
  18. Maybe this will help someone.... Create an Emulator called "American Laser Games" point it to a .bat file called "American Laser Games" Ensure the .bat contains this line... daphne.exe singe vldp -scanlines -noserversend -sound_buffer 2048 -fullscreen -x 800 -y 600 -opengl -framefile singe/%1/%1.txt -script singe/%1/%1.singe When importing the games, import the "gamename.txt" from within the \singe\gamename\ folder Emulators\American Laser Games\singe\timetraveler\timetraveler.txt <---- Import this as the game My folder structure is:- \\Launchbox\Emulators\American Laser Games\singe\timetraveler\timetraveler.txt <--- This is called by the %1.txt above AND what you import as the ROM \\Launchbox\Emulators\American Laser Games\singe\timetraveler\timetraveler.singe <----- This is called by the %1.singe above The above command is suitable for the following "American Laser Games" Crime Patrol, Drug Wars, The Last Bounty Hunter, Mad Dog McCree, Mad Dog II The Lost Gold, Ninja Hayate, Space Pirates, Time GAL, Time Traveller and Who Shot Johnny Rock? PS/ The Daphne.exe used for American Laser Games is NOT the same as the one used for Dragons Lair etc
  19. I've got the full Scummvm setup and its working fine, but I fancy trying to use Retroarch to run my Broken Sword games. However, I've looked at this page and cannot understand the process, as it appears that things have changed since I last setup Scummvm. Whats this stuff about Scummvm being part of Launchbox ? Is there a noob guide for an old man like me to follow from start to finish ? Aim being > Use launchbox to load Retroarch > running Scumm emu > to load Broken Sword 1 (and 2). I've found a YouTube video. Thank you update.... this is simply amazing. Took all of 3 mins once I understood what was required.
