1) Noobs section is for Launchbox questions. Please post emulation related questions here: https://forums.launchbox-app.com/forum/75-emulation/ 2) Use BGFX. The auto mode will use the least demanding rendering for your computer. It won't add scanlines, bloom effects, etc. You could use it if you have a CRT monitor, but that's it. 3) System filter in General Settings has nothing to do with graphic rendering. It is simply used to manually select a type of roms (ex: NeoGeo only, Arcade vs. Home, Vertical vs. Horizontal, etc). 4) FFBArcadePlugin may add force feedback and rumble effects to various arcade games. Look for it on github. 5) Folder INI file is intended to display a list of the game of the collection in System FIlter tab. It won't download anything. 6) I recommend that you search and take a look at the "documentation" section of mamedev. You'll find most of the answers you're looking for as a newcomer to MAME's universe. I've added the official emulator user guide as an attachment. I hope I've been helpful, have fun! MAME_268.pdf

1) ArcCabView is simply an optimized modification of the crt-geom-deluxe included with the MAME distribution. You can use whichever one you prefer, or even another - it's a personal choice. 2) the original MAME is infinitely better than the horrible adaptation supplied with RetroArch. My artworks collection won't work with RetroArch anyway. 3) As it stands, the vast majority of the collection should work with future versions of MAME. All that's needed is for the name of an artwork to match the name of the ROM for which it's intended. Even if I never update again, 99% of the collection should work with MAME 0.268 and later. -

Mr. RetroLust is the artist, not me. I just code the lay files according to the new standard and sometimes slightly modify his works to adapt 'em to it. I did this thing quickly to answer your request, I hope it will do the trick. Here it is in advance of the next update. Thanks for your interest. sagaia.zip -

Sorry for the extremely late reply, I hadn't seen your comment. Since then, the project has been updated like the original one and I intend to follow Mr. RetroLust releases as much as possible and regularly update it according to the new versions of MAME. In fact, a new update is underway that will convert some artworks not made specifically for MAME. Thanks for the kind words. -

Hello, sorry for the late reply. 1) battlera : I can't reproduce this display bug. As I've tried with 3 different PC, I think it has something to do with your personal setup. 2) orunners : For now, as the gear shift is not referenced in MAME sources, it is not possible to display it on screen. If you're using a recent relase of MAME, it's best to use this fork, which is more future-proof. For the bezel, everything depends on Mr Retrolust. But the LED display is technically feasible, I could code it into the lay file. Please note that for LaserDisc games, the emulator of choice is https://github.com/DirtBagXon/hypseus-singe Much more advanced than MAME. Yeah, replace all the zips on each update. The folder ini is completely accessory but allows you to display a list of all games with artwork. 1) For games which don´t have a dedicated bezel, if a system bezel exists, it will be loaded first. Otherwise, the generic horizontal and vertical bezels will be used as fallback artworks. 2) Editing your MAME ini file, you can select a multitude of different artworks folders. This is very practical, but it can lead to conflicts, and not all artworks may always be available. Please note that this collection is already perfectly compatible with the classic artworks of Mr. Do. Thank you for your kind comments -

A few years ago, Hydranger from MameWorld forums published some 16:10 bezels. I have updated the lay files to the new artwork system but have not yet made those public. Here's the original link : https://www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Board=artwork2&Number=366961
