  1. Beta 8 is out now to fix the metadata issue where the wrong metadata was being used in the additional apps when games were combined on imports. Also, for those having issues with getting Steam metadata, we still have never been able to replicate that issue, but we'd like to know if you have the same problem with this beta.
  2. As expected, it was all coming from a single user. That user has been banned, at least for now.
  3. Sorry to hear guys. The comments are not anonymous; I can always see who they came from. I'll take a look and issue bans if necessary.
  4. Now's the time again guys to get everything translated for the next release. Planning to put out the official 10.11 release on Monday, and everything should be ready to go for translation. Thank you all so much, as always. @dukeemu @Opak @cyanjiang @Bardock @MajKSA @gamehacker @Cauptain @Kondorito @Nyny77 @alexposad @k_kutsugi
  5. Thanks Claudio, I have this in beta 7, which I just put out.
  6. Beta 7 is out now with the following: Various GOG import fixes, mostly surrounding combining and matching games Improved GOG import platform detection (MS-DOS vs. Windows) Missing Play menu action in Big Box has been fixed A whole lot of testing and tweaking has gone into this beta, so things should be much improved. In case we haven't made it clear, you can now use the Steam and GOG importers and they will combine your Steam and GOG games together into a single game with additional applications, assuming that the titles match up. We've also made sure that manually combining Steam and GOG games together works correctly as well. For those reasons, it might be a good idea to clear out and re-import your Steam and GOG games to make use of the improved features. Any testing on all of this would be much appreciated, as we plan on putting out the official 10.11 release on Monday.
  7. I think that's probably the best compromise, yeah, to just force the button bar visible. Unfortunately I'm afraid it'll open up a huge can of worms if we just let it slide.
  8. I've tested with numerous DInput devices already, and they do not have those issues, so sadly, yes, I will need the device to get it figured out.
  9. Yikes, that sounds like a mess. It doesn't sound like I'll be able to fix any of those issues without getting my hands on a G27 set myself. Unfortunately I'll probably have to turn support back off until I can get one.
  10. Yeah, I ran into the same thing myself.
  11. Hey all, I'm hoping that 10.11-beta-6 adds support for DInput flight and racing devices. XInput stuff is proving to be less intuitive, so that's still on my plate. Let me know if the G27 is working for you guys.
  12. The challenge with GOG is that the games sometimes do not register themselves as installed, due to the portable nature of GOG games. So in that case, we have no way of getting at that data, sans for scanning a directory of installed games to match up the paths. In most cases, if you install the games from GOG Galaxy, they should register and automatically show up as installed. But Galaxy also has a way to mass import GOG games, and you can just copy them from a previous Windows installation, and in that case they won't automatically show up as installed and you'll have to use the Scan Directory button. What we're going to do though is modify the importer to allow you to update games that already exist by using that Scan Directory button.
  13. Beta 6 is out now with the following: New Feature: The GOG import process has been overhauled with support for both installed and uninstalled games, as well as the same "Installed" field and features that were added for Steam New Feature: Poster and screenshot images as well as game metadata can now be downloaded directly from GOG for your GOG games, both in the GOG import process and the Download Metadata and Media wizard. The same prioritization options as Steam are also available. Metadata from GOG is available for Developer, Publisher, Genre, Notes, Release Date, Rating, and Series. New Feature: You can now launch your GOG games through the GOG Galaxy client in order to allow use of features that the client offers such as cloud saves and achievement tracking. You can enable or disable this setting under Tools > Options > Integrations > GOG. Improvement: Theme developers can now both rotate and curve wheels in all directions in Big Box (both in the vertical and the horizontal wheel views). This is achieved via the CurveAmount and RotationAmount properties on the FlowControl, using negative values for opposite directions. Improvement: Big Box theme developers can now use custom image types in the wheels/CoverFlow for their themes Improvement: The Big Box theme development documentation (LaunchBox\Themes\Documentation.pdf) has been updated with new bindings and properties Improvement: Controller support has been added for Direct Input racing and flying devices Fixed: When prioritizing North America in the MAME Arcade full-set importer, Hispanic games were occasionally being prioritized over USA games Fixed: Images were not always refreshing properly after running Download Metadata and Media wizard
  14. It has not been added yet, but we can at least get the Installed field into auto-populated playlists so you can create them. This probably won't be added for the next release, but noted. Steam isn't really a platform, so we generally recommend using Windows and then you can easily create an auto-populated Steam playlist underneath it. I know everyone has their preferences though. The filters and audit views are currently using a more basic sorting algorithm, yes. I'll add that to the list.
  15. Thanks guys. I have these translations updated for the next beta, which should be out later today.
  16. Thanks, this should be fixed for the next beta.
  17. Can anyone provide me an example of this? What games and ROMs? Also, is this with the full-set MAME importer or the standard ROM import?
  18. @shadowfire This theme indeed looks amazing. Thanks for your work on it and I do hope that you can share it. I'm fine with moving the license info; my apologies that it's a thing at all, but since we're DRM free, it's our only method of preventing people from sharing or using pirated licenses, so it is somewhat important that it's displayed somewhere. That said, it doesn't really matter a whole lot where, so long as it's there.
  19. Unfortunately the info can be very hard to find, depending on the developer. Android sadly doesn't make it easy either. Ultimately the values depend on how the developer coded the emulator. If you can't find any information on it, then your best bet is to reach out to the developer. I find this immensely irritating on Android, because on Windows there are no issues like this, but sadly there's nothing we can do about it. What emulator are you trying to use?
  20. Both XInput and DInput are already supported, and have been for ages, which is why I'm thrown for a loop that the wheels aren't working. Will review. Unfortunately I can't test with a G27 though so that may be difficult. We'll see.
  21. Probably going to require changing the sizes on the grids, but you might have issues with it affecting other things, so it probably won't be easy. But fiddling with the grid row and column sizes is the likely solution.
  22. Not a bad idea. We'll probably have to come back to that at a later time though. We are currently optionally importing some Steam tags into the relevant fields (like genre for example). For this go-around though, we do not plan on adding a whole new tag system just for Steam. Per Steam trailers, every time I test it I never have any problems with it. I'll have @C-Beats review it again, but it's been working great for us in all of our testing. I know that issue goes way back, but unfortunately I'm guessing Steam is to blame for any problems at this point. What do you mean by "flags per game"? I don't think we're likely to add a "no update" option because of the confusion that it's likely to cause. The logic for figuring out whether the screen needs to refresh on a minor update would be immensely complicated, considering all the fields that could change and the many different filter and arrange by options. Unfortunately we're gonna have to live with that for now.
  23. I'll add this to the list.
  24. We're working on three things at the moment: the first Big Box-style games view, editing game metadata, and easy data folder changing. Hoping to get a new version out in the next couple of weeks, but we're doing some big stuff so it's taking a while.
  25. Huh, I'm surprised that I'm just now seeing this thread. I'm also baffled as to why it wouldn't be working as-is, because we support just about every kind of controller out there. I happen to have a G29 though, so I'll make a point to hook it up for testing here soon.
