  1. Yeah, though it's worth noting that it's relatively easy to create badges/filters/etc. for games that *support* the high scores, so I am planning to do that eventually. Eventually I expect most everything that supports high scores will have at least some high scores anyways, so that shouldn't be a big deal. That said, there is no good way to do that for retro achievements.

There should be two separate options, one to use MAME metadata, and one to specify whether it's a full MAME set. Make sure you check the box to use MAME metadata, and uncheck the box for full MAME set.
  3. Sorry for any trouble there. As long as you have any previously purchased license file, you should be able to upgrade on the upgrade page for the previous price. Are you seeing issues with that?
  4. Beta 8 is out now with the following: Improvement: Filters for auto-generated playlists are now available for Steam, GOG, and Epic Games, which let you easily filter your Windows platform into child Steam, GOG, and Epic Games playlists Fixed: Startup screens startup delay was not working for Steam games when running them from Big Box Fixed: MAME high scores error when no Internet connection is available
  5. I'm not sure about Rocket Launcher, but that may prove to be more difficult than we tackle for this version. I have it on my list, but it may or may not work out, as with Retroarch. Retroarch MAME is currently a higher priority for this feature than Rocket Launcher.
  6. This sounds a lot like Rocket Launcher. To be honest, I think if you want that granular level of control, Rocket Launcher would be your best bet.

Try checking the box to use MAME metadata in the import.
  8. This particular issue being discussed here has nothing to do with videos on the startup screens.
  9. Yeah, that would be another issue with restarting the emulator. But I don't think that's a good plan to begin with.
  10. Closing the emulator would not at all be a good idea here, because I can see it now: people will lose scores as a result. That said, I am planning to look into the option to show *previous* high scores in the pause screen. Regardess, no matter what, it's impossible to show the current ones that were just achieved in the pause screen. I still think it's valuable though to show previous scores, because that's what you'll be competing against.
  11. Good find. I'll address this for the next beta. Strangely, I can't seem to replicate this on my machines. I think someone reported it a while ago, but I've never been able to replicate it. Must be some weird video driver crap I guess. I'll do some more testing later on, but at this point I don't have a fix because I can't seem to make it happen.
  12. If it works with Microsoft Edge, then it sounds like a configuration issue on that computer, not any issues with your modem. What other browsers are you testing with? Are they up to date?
  13. Try a different browser on the computer that isn't working. Might help narrow it down.
  14. What video playback engine is that?
  15. I'm not really sure what you mean here by "blow up the video".
  16. Apparently there's some faulty info out there. There are at least a couple other apps using the LaunchBox Games Database already. This just simply isn't true lol. I don't know how you can look at the metadata package and conclude that, since it includes metadata for all of the images. It includes the image file names, which can be easily used to construct a URL. The IDs don't have to match up to the website URLs; they only have to match up to the rest of the metadata in the zip.
  17. I think this is just how Windows works. In order to support controllers, we have to poll/read the controllers. That in itself keeps the computer awake. Unfortunately there's nothing we can do about that, that I'm aware of.
  18. Beta 7 is out now with high scores support for Flicky, my favorite arcade game (thanks to GreatStone, the developer of hi2txt). We've also got pretty close to all of the default high scores dumped, so default high scores showing up should be a thing of the past.
  19. Can you give me more details on that? Have you checked your background image priorities? We did add some for Epic this go-around. You might need to uncheck them if you prefer not to use image backgrounds.
  20. Thanks @LordEvyl; this is on my list to review. Hopefully I can soon.
  21. I've tested this and I can replicate it, so I can confirm it's an issue. It's on my list; hopefully I can get to it soon.
  22. Thanks @PhuriousGeorge; I checked out your log file. By chance, do you have any Steam-related plugins installed? Or any plugins of any kind? If so, can you try removing them and then trying to import again? Not quite following you here. When I go to the second URL you've provided above in my browser, the site gives me a 404 not found error. The first one works fine however. For example: http://steamcommunity.com/id/deepest_seed - Works https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/deepest_seed - 404 Not Found What are the specific links for your profile?
