  1. Hey all, the LaunchBox 10-Year Anniversary Sale is live: We figured it would be good to give back to the community this way, since it was requested so much during the giveaway. Thank you all for all of the support! Purchase a LaunchBox Premium for Windows license Purchase a LaunchBox for Android license LaunchBox Premium for Windows and LaunchBox for Android regular licenses are half price. Forever licenses are even more discounted at $30 off LaunchBox Premium for Windows, and $15 off LaunchBox for Android.
  2. Noted; we will have to test this and see what can be done.
  3. Thanks @Flyojumper. This is on our list to implement, but I'm not sure about the priority of it for the moment. We have two devs actively working on the next version though.
  4. It's entirely dependent on the speed of the SD card and SD card reader. LaunchBox is very data intensive (it has to be because of the amount of media that is loaded from disk). If you're experiencing poor performance, most likely it's a slow SD card. If you're going to be running LaunchBox off of an SD card, I'd highly recommend a Sandisk Extreme SD card (or Sandisk Ultra if you need to save a little money). But the Extreme cards are the fastest.
  5. Hi guys, thank you for the reports. These are different errors, so two separate issues. We are looking into both of them though.
  6. Maximum PC was my favorite magazine as a kid, so that hits home. Pretty crazy.
  7. For clarity, calling people out in attempt to stir up drama is completely unacceptable, and that's why this conversation has to end.
  8. @Mr. RetroLust I do genuinely regret leaving you out of that stream. But, as you say, it's impossible to cover everyone. Thanks for your understanding and your attempts to stick up for us here. @PaDeMoNiuM I'm sorry I hadn't yet responded to your PM. I planned to. That said, this conversation is quickly going sour (I can smell it a mile away). So if it doesn't end here, there will be consequences. I've always appreciated your work, but I've already shared why we haven't been able to cover you more. We can continue this via PM when I get back in the office on Monday.
  9. Thank you guys! We definitely don't want donation money at this point because this is a business and we're doing fine. That said, it would definitely be a blessing to us if you would donate to an anti-child trafficking charity! This is a good one: https://ourrescue.org/ Also this one: https://projectrescue.com/ Thanks again guys. Blessings.
  10. Thank you all! I have all of these translations in for the next beta.
  11. Thank you guys; I have these in for the next beta.
  12. Thank you @PaDeMoNiuM. You can grab the French package from the first post.
  13. Hey guys, it's time for translations again. We're hoping to put out the next official release some time next week. Thanks everyone! @Offone @Kondorito @Cauptain @Nyny77 @Opak @dukeemu @cyanjiang @Just001Kim @MajKSA @gamehacker @alexposad @k_kutsugi @Bardock @Soomin papa
  14. Just put out beta 3 y'all with the following: New Feature: LaunchBox now has a brand new Default theme! The previous Default theme has been renamed Old Default and the previous Old Default theme has been renamed to Old Default (Legacy). Use Tools > Manage LaunchBox Themes to switch themes. New Feature: LaunchBox now has its own notifications system that helps better track information and errors; history is also available in the new notifications center (bell icon) in the top right of the window. The notifications center is available in both of the Default themes, and can be easily added to any custom themes. A new option is available under Tools > Options > General > Notifications to switch between LaunchBox notifications, Windows notifications, and message boxes. New Feature: Big Box's Default theme now has battery indicators to help identify your current battery level if using it on a battery-powered device (also available to be added to custom themes) New Feature: Big Box's Default theme now displays important controller inputs that will dynamically change based on a user's controller mappings (also available to be added to custom themes) Improvement: The PS3 ROM import improvements that were introduced in 13.3 now work with more ROM types Improvement: LaunchBox platform icons in the sidebar now have a HasImage binding (for theme developers) Fixed: Steam metadata occasionally wasn't being returned in English Fixed: Deleting an item from the list of media in the LaunchBox game details wasn't removing it from the list control
  15. Yeah, if you use a platform with a different name than Windows, they won't be automatically added to that platform. I think we should be able to look for platforms that use Windows as the Scrape As value though. I assume you have that set up?
  16. Thanks guys; I have these translations in for the next beta.
  17. Hi @Daliant, sorry for the late reply here. Both of those strings should be translatable. Here are the keys: LabelViewRelatedGames LabelView3DModel Let me know if you still have issues adding those translations.
  18. Yes, it was custom built by him for the cabinet. Why do you ask?
  19. We are definitely aware of this stuff and we have plans to fix whatever is possible to fix as soon as we can. However, we are in the hiring process and we still need to fill a role for Android development. Apologies for the delays. I have been developing it as much as possible myself for a long time, but I'm personally being pulled all over the place lately.
  20. @xardius99 VSS is the Volume Shadow Copy service. It is integral to the OS, because it helps to do things like maintain file history and allows backing up files while they're in use, etc. VSS may or may not be the cause of the shutdown, but if it is the cause, then there are some sort of serious issues going on with the OS install, the drive, or the file system. We have a broad enough install base that we can say 100% that LaunchBox does not cause random system shutdowns. If it did, we'd have reports from many different people, and this is the only one, at least from any time recently that I'm aware of. Windows makes that nearly impossible anyways these days. There are a million protections in place by Windows to make sure that any particular application cannot freeze or reboot the system. Therefore, any time this happens, more than likely it's a hardware or an OS install issue. LaunchBox often uses the hardware more than other software, even games. Specifically, LaunchBox uses a *lot* of disk activity. So my first guess is that there's probably some kind of issue with your disk.
  21. HI @Gamer009, the answer is yes to pretty much all of these questions. Marquees in Big Box are flexible enough to use pretty much any kind of image, and Big Box can even prioritize the kinds of images to use. So it's pretty much guaranteed that something will be available to display on your marquee screen for at least close to every game. And yes, LaunchBox by default uses the LaunchBox Games Database to automatically download media for all of your games. It can also download images from EmuMovies, and videos if you pay for an EmuMovies subscription. It's a pretty complete solution at this point.
  22. Ah, that makes sense. Thanks for the update.
