  1. That is correct; I did not write that plugin. I'm not exactly sure of a way to do it with a priority from that plugin. You're saying prioritizing Big Box to high made a significant difference for you?
  2. @Mile Panic Hmm, it seems to be happening in the CoverFlow views (I doubt the wheels would slow down if CoverFlow wasn't being used). One thing that's curious is that you don't have any images in CoverFlow. I wonder if we have a performance degradation problem if you use CoverFlow with no images. Since it doesn't really make any sense to use CoverFlow without any images, I wouldn't be surprised if that's just something we've never run into before. So I guess we have two things to test for: Does the performance degradation happen in the wheel views if you never use the CoverFlow views? If you populate images for those games, does the issue still exist in CoverFlow? Hopefully that will help us to narrow it down. Thanks @Mile Panic.
  3. So strange; I can't seem to replicate any performance issues with that theme. That said, I don't have any media in my test install so that could be why. I'll do some more testing with it to see if I can come up with anything. @Mile Panic If you have any way to record a quick video, that would be awesome because then I'll know exactly what to look for. But I know that's not always easy so no worries if not.
  4. Ah, okay. Well that's interesting. I will test with that theme to see if I can figure out what might be causing it.
  5. @Mile Panic I've tested with your data and I don't see any performance issues on my system, so I guess it's not data-related. You've got me beat specs-wise, so that's certainly not the issue. Can you explain where it's being slow? Is it between views, in CoverFlow, or where exactly?
  6. That system is bangin, of course, so any slowness you're running into is either a glitch that is specific to your system that we haven't found yet, or some kind of misconfiguration. If you can zip up and PM me your LaunchBox\Data folder, I'll take a look to see if it happens to be data-related. You shouldn't have to turn stuff off every time you run Big Box, of course, but I dare say that some anti-virus programs are absolute crap and can make even amazing systems crawl (especially if you happen to be running three of them). Regardless, I'm more than happy to offer you a refund if you'd rather not try and figure it out, but I don't think it's possible for a system that fast to have performance issues in Big Box unless there's an anomaly going on.

  8. Now is probably the time to translate guys, since it's looking like we'll probably be putting out the 8.9 release early next week to fix some minor things. Thanks all.
  9. Thanks @Cauptain; I did end up putting out the 8.8 release but I'll get it in for 8.9, which will probably be out soon.
  10. @IanD For now you should be able to create a new playlist by right-clicking on the sidebar items. I think the only piece that still has that restriction in it is the Add to Playlist option when right-clicking on games. I will get that fixed though for the next release.
  11. Whoops! Thanks for the note. I will get that fixed.
  12. If you have an update ready, I can get it in before the release. My apologies for the short notice. I'm planning on releasing it in about an hour or so.
  13. I have to apologize to you guys; I'm being forced to rush out an official release, so we won't really have time to put translation updates in for 8.8. We'll do an 8.9 release relatively soon to add them in. There's a Windows Explorer bug in the Windows 10 October update that I had to figure out a workaround for.
  14. Thanks, I have this fixed for the official release. Planning on putting it out shortly.
  15. The only thing I can think of for the moment is to kill all running processes and close all background applications to see if that might help. That's a shot in the dark though. It would also be helpful to test on any different PCs (if you have any) with that same collection, to see if by chance it has anything to do with your collection, or if it's machine-specific.
  16. Beta 8 is out now to fix the issue that @PattersonCZ was running into (nested names were not showing properly when counts were visible and not aligned to the right).
  17. Got your data and figured it out; thanks for that. Apparently it's working correctly when the counts are separated to the right but not otherwise.
  18. Hmm. Can you zip up and PM me your data?
  19. The bug was that it previously wasn't saving the Nested Name properly. So you'll have to edit the platform category in order to fix it. Sure. Do you use Rocket Launcher? Other than that, it could be a million things, unfortunately. It could even be something as silly as video drivers. So troubleshooting it isn't likely going to be easy.
  20. @MadK9 I haven't forgotten about the performance issue you've gotten me details on. I may see if there's anything I can do about it today, but otherwise it may just have to wait until after the rushed release. It's hard to say what's happening here, but my guess would be that somehow it's a focus issue and Big Box isn't getting focused properly again. Can you try using the mouse and clicking on Big Box (even if your mouse cursor is hidden it still should work)? If that fixes it then we'll know that's the issue. I'm not likely to solve that before this rushed release (it's definitely not new for 8.8), but I will look into it. I'm guessing it's happening with a particular emulator or game, etc.
  21. Beta 7 is out now with the following: - Fixed a bug with nested names not always saving properly when adding a new platform category (should fix @PattersonCZ's issue) - Playlists are no longer required to be in the platform categories list (you can uncheck all Parents in the Parents tab to make it only show up in the Playlists list) - Things can no longer be nested under playlists, as that was unnecessary and was causing confusion and minor issues My current plan is to beat the heck out of this beta as much as I can here on all my machines for the rest of the day, and if things go well (and I don't hear of any serious issues from you guys), I'll probably say a prayer and rush out the official release tomorrow (due to that Windows 10 bug).
  22. @Rjay Have you tried the latest beta to see if it improves things?
  23. Ah yes, thanks for the reminder. I haven't looked into it yet.
  24. That is great to hear. Thanks for the kind words.
